    I think the part I love about your videos is you don’t skip over the details. Since stumbling upon your videos I have been able to ascertain where I have been going wrong, and have been able to adjust what I’m doing and finally make some nice looking cups. Very grateful. Thank you.

    They look great but what do you do on a dark background being that this is clear paper?

    • @Luxinda
      @Luxinda  Год назад

      Thank you!! Generally, waterslides aren’t used on a dark background. There are white waterslides available. You can also spray white paint over a clear waterslide graphic then apply it paint side down onto a dark surface (make sure you mirror any images with text before printing the waterslide. Mostly in situations with a dark background, people use printable vinyl that can be cut out and applied like a sticker. Courtney’s Customs has quite a few videos about waterslide work arounds

    Do you use the plastidip to seal along with the Rustoleum? Wondering if I need to use that for a full wrap waterslide. Also, do you use water that is on the cooler side? Thanks :)

    • @Luxinda
      @Luxinda  Год назад

      Yes, I spray with both the Plastidip and the Rustoleum gloss clear - for me, using both makes the waterslide so much more durable (I'm not a gentle person, lol). I tend to use room temp water, so it's definitely not very warm. Hope this helped some!

    What printer do you have? Actually the hiipoo looks like the colors are bolder. Of course it could be the graphic itself

    • @Luxinda
      @Luxinda  3 года назад +1

      It’s a Canon Pixma. I actually started out printing the same fall pumpkin graphics on both papers, and both the Hiipoo and Sunnyscopa with the fall pumpkins looked identical, no difference at all in the print quality. But the footage of cup with the Hiipoo paper is what got ruined with all the recording and editing problems I mentioned. So when I started that cup over, I decided to print something different for the cup with the Hiipoo paper because I thought the pumpkin graphics were kind of boring, but I didn’t have enough time to start completely over with both cups. I regret not being able to do the original exact comparison I wanted to show.

    I love your videos! They are entertaining & very helpful! Quick question, how do u fill up a whole page with decals? I’m Cricut design space it doesn’t allow it! Thanks!

    • @Luxinda

      Thank you! That’s a bit of an optical illusion, that it looks like a full page. But in Design Space, I use the shapes function to make a square, unlock the dimensions and make it into a 6.75” x 9.25” rectangle and send it “to the back”. Then I fit as many graphics into that space as possible without overlapping any edges. When it’s completely full, I delete or make the rectangle invisible, select all the graphics that were within that rectangle, and click “attach”. Then I click on Make It, and print. It’s still not an actual full page, but a lot more graphics fit that way than when Design Space tries to position things for you.

    How do you get a FULL page for the print then cut images.....when I do it it only allows me to do half a page....ugh

    Do you epoxy over the water slide? Thank for sharing this m new to making my tumblers and enjoy it.

    • @Luxinda
      @Luxinda  3 года назад +2

      Thank you! Yes, after a waterslide dries thoroughly, I usually spray a layer or two of clear spray paint over the entire cup, then put on a layer of epoxy resin. Enjoy and welcome to your new addiction 😁

      @@Luxinda thank you so much for this video, it's so informative!! 😁. Is it still food safe after spraying over the whole cup? (I'm brand new to this!!)

      @@SanNik9 Thank you!!
      Regarding your question, that would depend on the specific product you’re using - your best best is to go to the product’s website and see if food-safe is addressed in the safety guidelines, or email the company and ask directly. I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful.

      @@Luxinda oh definitely, thank you for the reply!! I was going to pick up the rustoleum 2x clear and plasti dip glossify like you used in the video. I was wondering if those are food safe? Again, I really appreciate the video and your reply 😁🤗
