No waterslide is meant for hard surfaces only, temporary tattoo paper would be a better option

Hi there:) if I coat the water slide transfers with acrylic sealer (3 times as you say), how long can I leave the transfer sheets without using? Would it be possible to use the sheets in say a year? I assume the sealer's function is simply to make the ink resistant to water. Thanks for your time :)
In theory, you can leave them indefinitely. They shouldn't degrade at all unless they are left in the sun

2-3 is fine. Some waterslide paper doesn’t require a spray these days, even for inkjet
@@royalelementsofficialCan you recommend some good waterdecal papers? I am going to apply on my acrylic and abs nails. I want to make them dishwasher safe. (1 month of durability is enough).
But the nails cannot be baked because of not resistance to higher temperatures.

It will stay permanently, but it’s not waterproof.

Yes that works! Just don’t heat it up too close for too long or it may damage the decals. Good luck on your project Ky!
Any ideas how I can achieve white lettering ? My inkjet doesn't have white ink.
But traditional silk screening has full color spectrum. Traditional silk screening is too expensive and not an option.
Find someone with a rare ALPS printer. They can print in white or metallic color. No such thing as white ink for an inkjet. If you want white on paper, the printer leaves the paper blank.
When I spray acrylic sealer, the surface ends up not smooth, but slightly bumpy with all the spray droplets not spreading out. Is there a way I can get a smooth surface to match the rest of the ceramic?

You could try rubbing it VERY GENTLY with 0000 steelwool or a white scotchbrite pad. You're not sanding, just scuffing the surface to get it smooth.

Hi everyone, can I get some help? :/ I am having massive printing issues. My printer leaves scratch marks all the time and sometimes the print is totally unusable. My printer back feed uses wheels that make contact with the ink on the paper and leave marks, and my front feed keeps bumping into curved or elevated surfaces on the paper, scratching the ink. Does anyone know how this can be solved?

I'm not sure what you're asking. Waterslide decal paper is for solid, hard surfaces only and would not stick to leather or cloth.

after applying the waterslide on to the tumbler did you seal it with epoxy, modpodge or any other kind of spray sealer? this would be my first project & dont want to use epoxy since idk how to use it and pricy for now.
on your description you mention hairdryer or ovensafe, if i use hair dryer without a sealer to finish would it be safe to hand wash?
Great question! In order to fully seal and protect your waterslide decal you will have to epoxy over the waterslide decal. Alumilite clear casting resin is a good choice for this, and after sealing the decal it will be dishwasher safe.
If you just use a hairdryer without sealing over the decal with epoxy it will NOT be permanent, you will still have to either laminate or epoxy over it.

Hello can you tell me what method you use to seal glass bottles that have been painted? i.e. glam bottles I need to make sure it keeps its shine on the bottle and don't think I need to epoxy it
so, do you seal it with the mod podge?
Yes! In this video we didn't show this step, but 3-4 coats of sealer is required to waterproof and strengthen the decal.

You would need to open a Word document or an image you have on your computer, then print it onto the waterslide decal paper.

A laser printer is best with dedicated laser paper. You don't have to spray the decal before applying.
Hey! Love this video. Can you explain a little more at 2:20 when you said you made this yourself you "epoxy"-ed it? I have put my waterslide on a mug and put in oven but it still comes off if i hand wash it. Can you also show or explain how you use the MODGE podge/ epoxy to seal it?
Use Brite tone top coat to seal it. Look up how use bright tone and it will show you how use it. Hope this helps.
How durable is a waterslide paper? What makes the decal adhere to the cup? Is it microwave and dishwasher safe?
Hi Claudia, thanks so much for the comment!! Waterslide paper is very thin. It is mostly used because it can be moved around on the object while it is still wet and it looks like it has been painted on your surface. Most people seal over it with epoxy (then it becomes waterproof). If you are looking for a more durable, long lasting sticker paper I would suggest looking at these:

If you want it to be permanent, just spray some more sealer over the sticker once applied. Just make sure that it's compatible with the surface you're applying it to.
