    Super cool video. I have a problem with my waterslide decals: they come off really easily after a couple of hours from laying down. Is it normal?

    Is the white good for dark green wine bottles? Also do you always have to trim with scissors? I'm putting cork lighting. Thx

      @HayesPaperCo  Год назад

      Hi Wanda, The white waterslide decal will create a white, opaque backing for the decal so it will make the print easier to read or see but it may block the cork lighting. If you use a clear decal the decal will be transparent and when backlit you will see the design through the light. The clear decal may be difficult to see if there is no light on behind it, so it just depends on the look you're going for. Hope this helps.

    Do the images used to create decals on clear paper need to be transparent PNG images?? In the design stage i mean. Thanks

    • @HayesPaperCo
      @HayesPaperCo  Год назад +1

      Hi there, good question. It is best to save the image as a PNG to be on the safe side. If your printer doesn't print white ink (most do not) then any white space on your design will automatically show as clear once the design is printed. If you have a cream or light colored background then it will print as shown on your artwork. Hope this helps.

    Do I need to seal after applied?

  • @AirCrewRani

    Hi. I followed the packaging intsructions (sealed 3x and dried for more than 5 mins). My images still erased, wouldn't slide easily until it is entirely ruined. When I got a smaller piece transferred successfully, the tissue paper picked up the decal. I followed everything but why it is not working for me

      Hi there, Sorry to hear you are having trouble getting the decals to work. The best way for us to trouble shoot the issue is for you to email us at hello@hayespaper.com with an image of the issue. Some things that immediately come to mind is 1. To check that your paper type inkjet or laser match the printer used? So inkjet waterslide can only be used with an inkjet printer. 2. Often the acrylic sealant can be the issue. We recommend Rust-Oleum® 2 x Clear. If the sealant is not waterproof it will run. 3. Make sure you coat the sealant evenly across the whole sheet and spray three times, you can dry with a hair drier for 5 minutes to set it if you are in a cooler climate. Hope this helps.

    I bought 2 pack of this brand few months ago. At first paper look good. But then the paper have some white stripes all over the sheet. Does this paper gets dry or the gloss goes away , if not use during certain time?

    • @HayesPaperCo
      @HayesPaperCo  Год назад +1

      Hi there, Waterslide decal paper should last for a long time, it is possible that it's appearance changes overtime due to how it is stored. We recommend to store it out of the sun in a dry area. Try printing the paper and see if the "white stripes" are visible in the design. If they are affecting your decal, please email us at hello@hayespaper.com and we'll help get you a replacement or troubleshoot the issue. :)

    How do you cure it ?

    • @HayesPaperCo
      @HayesPaperCo  2 года назад

      Waterslide decals will cure naturally over a period of time. Depending on temp humidity etc its usually 36-48 hours.
