Well you don't need to set start and end. Until Overwrite and tick Placeholders and have as many computers as you want rendering in the same network folder. Job's done.
I have 3 systems and I might assemble more systems in the future. I have tried CrowdRender before. I appreciate their work and it has a lot of potentials. But at its current state it's unusable for me. It slows down my UI performance and a bunch of other issues. Also as far as I can remember it doesn't support animation. Just a few days ago I came across a standalone little program called BlendFarm. And I should say I am really impressed. Very easy to setup, support animations and more.
I tried to set it up, but I could not do it. I entered the internet address of my other computer. It recognized the computer, but it failed to use it as a second renderer. Maybe the network must first be set up? Apparently, I must first set up a VPN in my network router. That is where it became too complicated for me!
@@konradswart4069 No, you don't to set up a VPN. Just make sure your systems are connected to the same network. Either through ethernet cable or WIFI. Of course cable is better. Find your local ip address (not the public one. It is something like 192.168.1.13). To find it type in ipconfig in cmd. and your port is the same as the local pc. Let me know if you're still having problem setting it up
@@mazashayeri1411 I did what you said. But I get an 'invalid address' message. If I append it with :1500, it appears in the Render Nodes part. But when I try to render, it says: 'no such node exists'. I don't get it working! Very frustrating!
I just did everything you said in this comment last night. Why didn't I read your comment before wasting an entire day and a few $ (for the crows render). BlendFarm is amazing and i successfully rendered on all 3 of my computers late last night. The trick is to open the app (not an add-on) and on all PC and set destination to a Nas or preferably on a networked drive. It's similar to flamenco but this one works (flamenco didn't work for me)

@@amenonyky I'm glad you made it work out for you.
it doesn't send the verification but also why would it need a verification in the first place it just seems like it doesn't want me to use it :(
