    Everybody's praising Dave - which he deserves - but give it up to the rest of the band too. They were rocking out with her along with Dave and gladly let her take centerstage. I saw no ego in any of those men as they stepped aside to let a young woman shine. The Foo Fighters are just great men.

      The crew even turned down all the other instruments and even Dave's mic to let her hear herself jam the hardest. Its artist like them that create the next generation of artists through their own work and means. Dave fully understands the gravity of this moment for her and the team trusts Dave to make the right decisions and moves so being on board was paramount. What a powerful moment.

      @@Pinkkermit17 There is this moment at 2:21 - 2:23 where Pat turns and looks at the dad and winks at him. That was such a heart warming gesture. He knows what a proud moment this is for him too.

      Agreed. Dave is usually seen as the instigator of this sort of playful hi-jinx but the rest of the band have to be willing too. These guys are great. They may be the greatest rock band today.

    I've been following Nandi's journey for years now and hearing dad screaming at the top of his lungs with pride for his girl is too much for me, I cried. I just can't imagine how it feels to be a father in that moment and realise that the person you created and nurtured is making a huge impact in the world and bringing joy to so many people. This is definitely not the last time she will stand on a stage this size with crowds this big. To perform like this in the presence of your musical heroes is the dream of a lifetime and Nandi's just at the beginning of her life's journey. This is the best thing I've seen in a very long time, so wholesome and uplifting which is exactly what the world needs. I know her Father now knows what a great man Dave is, along with the rest of the Foo Fighter's, especially Taylor-for "stepping down" to let her 🌞🌟 too😘, (as Dave and his beautiful daughter sang together-which blew him away...so you know how her Dad is feeling 😲🙃😜🤪🥰🤩😍😘 What unbelievable men they both are and all the Foo Fighter's and their daughter's for allowing their daughter's to shine 🌟🌞 with their God given talents, too!🎸🥢🎤🎶

      Not really a prodigy. Nandi is a very good drummer who has had the self-discipline and put in the practice time necessary. She was fortunate to be born into a family that nurtured her music, encouraged her to have confidence and reach out to the world, and has helped make her the happy, confident musician she is today. This was going to happen eventually - she's a sweet kid with a lot of talent - and I'm very happy for her and her family.

      @@meridalemusicmachine Yep I hope she goes far. Maybe be an even better guitarist than drummer. But prodigy should be reserved for kids like the 6 year old slipknot kid that Joey Jordison passed the mantle to. • @BubblesBubbles
    @BubblesBubbles 3 года назад +111

    I've watched this at least 15 times since that night. Nandi was, on this night, officially introduced to the rock 'n' roll world.
    And what did she do? She did what she does -- she played the song completely locked-in with the band without a single error or glitch (even Taylor was there watching from his drumkit, overseeing this amazing performance like a galactic warlord - a happy one) and carried the weight of this song like freight train.
    Even sections of the song that required a quick improvisational adjustment were handled by Nandi and the Foo Fighters without flinching.
    It was another night in rock 'n' roll without fail. Once you kick THAT much a$$ on stage at a venue like the L.A. Forum, people know you mean business. That happened for the Foos many years ago, and on this night, to Nandi. Like a musician so serious she pours rudiments on her breakfast cereal instead of milk.
    This video will forever be Nandi's calling card: Her entry in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame was secured on this night as well.
    Keep on rockin'!!

    I could barely see this through my tears of joy for Nandi. I have been following her for a while and she is absolutely amazing, and for Dave to be the awesome person he is, (as is the whole band) and show her talent to the world makes my heart sing. I wish nothing but love, support and success for Nandi. Her dad whoohoohooing with pride added that much more to the whole experience. As a frustrated drummer who missed my window, I am super stoked to see this passionate talent fostered by so many. GO NANDI!

    What I love about this kid is she brings out the best in the people she's playing with. She's amazing in her own right as well but it's nice to see these old rockers remember why they fell in love with music in the first place. The passion and joy she exudes for music is absolutely contagious. This was the highlight of the night, not only for her but most certainly for the foo fighter's as well. Keep your passion kid and the world will be in the palm of your hands.

    Inviting Nandi Bushell to play Everlong at the concert is the highest compliment. Dave Grohl is one of the best drummers of all time. He wouldn't allow anyone to play the drum sections on his songs and did them himself. She is an amazing talent.

    This was the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in years. Made me weep. Understanding the weight of this event is hard if you’ve never been involved in music. The energy in that arena and on that stage is palpable in the video but I’m certain it was exponentially higher being there. I appreciate her courage. And I appreciate that they didn’t dumb the song down “for the kid”. She was amazing. I also feel for her dad who went understandably nuts. Absolutely beautiful
