7:34 ok im sorry, but i think that is amazing. Merv goes to bed to the comfort of music (whats left of it anyway) and just looks so calm and happy. I dont know why, but it makes me want to cry.
It's cute in a post apocalyptic sort of way. Made me chuckle a few times, wasteland antics at it's best.

It reminds me a bit Wall-e, he lives alone in a wasteland taking scrap from the rests of the civilization, the plant, he knows a initially violent girl, and after offers his plant to her... Whatever this is a amazing job, very emotional, good job.

Eh, most news channels over exaggerate things to make them seem worse then they are for more views, so just stay clean and indoors as much as possible.
This was one of the best post apocalyptic shorts I’ve ever seen. I like how the storyline and music weren’t the typical doom and gloom themes! 😊

@@bonnih6931 You have to dress like that in a nuclear apocalypse. It helps protect against alpha, beta, and gamma radiation as well in general, against things like shrapnel and dust. You can really only afford to show skin when radiation levels are low or non-existent.
@@herrfantastisch7489 alpha and beta probably. It is doubtful against gamma. Nothing will, except a few meters of very solid matter between you and the radiation.

When i clicked on the video i thought it was animated, and i was absolutely blown away for the entire thing before i realized it was a short film.
I want a full movie of this. It has potential and I think that if the producers extended the film, it would become truly remarkable. Great job.
Phenomenal. A gem. We tend to think of this genre as depressing or horrific...rare to find a film that uses a worldwide apocalypse to accentuate a deeper truth: where there is one, there can be self-sufficiency and fortitude, but ultimately loneliness and isolation. Where there are two there can be hostility and mistrust, but ultimately companionship and hope. Props to the actors; conveying emotion that engages without dialog isn't easy. Unbelievable job, guys. For what it's worth, you've earned a subscriber.

I usually watch short films on youtube with disappointment but this was a really well done story. Fell in love with the characters. Wanted the hero to accomplish what he wanted. Great structure. Love it.

finally a short with an Idea, a simple, bright and well executed one.
By just changing the music in this would've made it seem like a much darker, dangerous world. I knew the score for a film was important, but this showed me how much.

To those critiquing the fact the flower would not have been enough oxygen to support thew both of them, this isn't really meant to be super realistic. When someone has been in isolation for long, while the world around them crumbled, boredom wouldn't have been their biggest issue. It would have been raving madness. But this was instead a kind of cheery goofy story about two people getting along because of a flower.

Little Dragon Pictures I love the steampunk/old style gadgets and things you have. The atmosphere of the movie was great and you portrayed the toxic wasteland very well. good job I must say
This was one of the best short films that I’ve watched. I did wonder though why she had what looked to me like perfectly clean manicured nails, but a dirty face that was underneath the mask. Most of these short films don’t really have a conclusion, yours did. If you were to make a full length movie, I would definitely watch it. Good job!
Genuinely loved this, such a short and sweet story.
Love the characters, and their way of communication. Such a story told so well through the exchange of no dialog, purely through visuals. I love it, this is what video was made for. The music too, I clicked on the thumbnail thinking that this might be a gritty or dark story, but it was light hearted and happy. Merv is a loner who seems to have lived his life away from people, and it shows through the affection he shows the rose and how he seemingly has dedicated so much time to helping it grow. Then he see's someone else, an alien in his little world, and he feels scared of them and doesn't know how to react to them, first he is scared, and runs away when they notice him, then he risks his life to retrieve the water canister, then he wants to communicate.
I'm surprised how attached to that rose I got in the space of 10 minutes, and to Merv.
Seriously, I love this.
EDIT: Please, I would love to see more of this style of video.

Music is so powerful and this soundtrack is great, a lil Danny Elfman'ish, love it.
There are many shorts that would be othereise good if not for a horrible soundtrack.
This was a good one. I like how it still had the happy tone and ending despite the setting.
Nurturing something as frivolous and wasteful as a FLOWER is definitely a sign of tenderness, dedication, and strength. Trust me: chicks dig it!
Without any wors this was by far the best movie ive seen.
This is why I no longer go to the movies. More entertaining in all aspects than most main stream films. How sweet.

This was such a good short. It was great seeing a video based in a post-apocalyptic setting to have such a sweet ending.
Fun fact: Merv (or MERV) also stands for "Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle" and is how ICBMs deliver nuclear warheads once they're in space. There are eerie videos of them being tested back in the day.
i love the use of colors!! the red of the flower really contrasted against the dull brown of the environment, making it seem a lot more special than just another color, which kinda makes sense if its a sign of life in an otherwise dead world!

Such an amazing film! I really appricate to cinamatics and the color theme. The music adds so much to it! I really love how well it conveys all his feelings and his personaznailly in this silent film. It really made me feel and relate to him. I love this sooo much!
