Something a little slower this week! Ascot 486 from RAF Brize Norton Low level training in the Welsh mountains and valley's, this was filmed near Dolgellau known as the Mach Loop and is at the foot of Cader Idris.

Beautiful stirring display of superb airmanship as well as sterling captures: brilliant and beautiful!!!!!!!
You go there to watch the fast movers scream by but then you see the elegance of a big bird and that can be even more compelling.
Fabulous. Love seeing the A400M, something I'm lucky enough to be able to do regularly where I live

Been on that last year brize- Ascension island. And stop to refuel Dakar. 6 months later left Ascension and the turbulence had even the crew sweating. Sitting next to base commanders wife who kept screaming whilst pulling on my hammock style seat straps. Nearly 2 hrs it lasted. But what an adventure ✅ great vid of this beast

Exactly what I've said. What's not right when some stoopid pilots think they're flying a fighter instead of heavyweights. Equates to loss of a crew & great planes.
@@seltaeb3302 Same old story - the fighter boys are all glamour and girls whilst the heavy mob just get the ***** taken out of them. Shades of Spitfire vs Lancaster - HGV for me any time!!!!

Nimble fighters like the F-15 or the Typhoon may look more impressive, but I bet flying through there in a heavy "box" like the A400M is not a piece of cake!

Cool, you Brits mated a C-141 and a C-130 and this aircraft was born... The high tail wings on a prop driven aircraft was a little off-putting to me the first time I watched the A400 up close, but it has grown on me. Nice aircraft.

Yes it definitely does, I'd certainly love to video it from there, looks very nice coming at you landlocked. Completely different angles compared to my Bwlch video from last month of the A400.

Military AIRBUS A400M -Atlas- RAF Version - The RAF has 22 of them. Nice Video!!
Hi Elwyn, subscribed your channel right now. I have the A400M in my Flight Simulator. Good plane but I prefer the Hercules C-130. Less digital computer things in the cockpit and I prefer to do the final approach and the landing by hand with no assistance whatsoever.

(1) Large objects appear to move more slowly than small ones at the same velocity (2) Fly-By-Wire with envelope protection helps enormously!

Funny how large aircraft seem to be moving slowly even though they’re flying at hundreds of kph.
It is flying slowly
Full flaps and couple degrees of pitch - then it can fly at about 100 knt (180 kph) or even slower (some aircrafts can fly even at 20-40 knt). Its funny, how laymans knows "everything" about aviation, when in real they dont know nothing.

It wouldn't hurt to plant some we have sheep farmers here and they have trees
@@jerryhawk8434 I'm fully in favour of trees , I'm simply pointing out that in Wales the land is mostly owned by sheep farmers (not the government) and they make a living by rearing and selling sheep.
