I know it's like the SimCity 4 challenge, but I just really like this idea. Something satisfying about it. Hope you enjoy!
Wow you sure should everyone who says first
its really fun to watch, no worries
we need more of cities skylines you are like a narrator its so good even if you take other challenge we need more more cities skylines cities skyline we need more !!!!!
No worries, I would watch at least three more of these

The Graveyard adjacent to the Crematorium adjacent to the old folks home is the most dystopian thing I've seen in a while. Props.
Right?
in my own town there's a old home with on one side a graveyard and the other the hospital
the graveyard is also a park where kids hang out, there's a playset

You can always count on an amphibian video going from comedic to existentially horrific and thought provoking in about 5 seconds, never stop with these videos please for the love of god.
As someone who'd played a lot of this game, when I saw the title I thought "that'll be hard, considering you need about 7'000 people to even unlock terraforming" but then I remembered mods
he can just tick "unlock all"
Ah, yes, the Anti-Netherlands, where you tell the ocean, "go somewhere else" by filling it in instead of making giant barriers below sea level.
As a Dutchman I approve
what do you mean anti-Netherlands? this is exactly what we do nowadays
Yeah, and people are wondering, why the sea lvl is rising...
Came for the game play, stayed for the existential dread.
Love this channel! The Torsolo series is one of the most satisfying YT epics ever made.
Thank you!
torsolo series is how I found this channel lol so good!
I didn't know Kenshi existed until I found this channel last month and I can't even understand that 🤯. I love the spore series too!
@@ambiguousamphibian Well thank you for all the entertainment.
Your Rimworld challenges introduced me to your channel and the philosophical talks in addition to the comedy in your Project Zomboid play-throughs had me hooked. (Gerald Williams and Gerald McWilliams are two of my favorite characters you have made.)
"it was brutal, but also logistical" is as hilarious as it is terrifying
I could watch you do this all day

He does have a VODS channel ;)
I think this type of city would be a prime candidate for a "Walking only" around the city with very little industry (FIlled by BiG tEcH as they don't generate trucks to fill orders.)
As for the flooding, well it's like Miami and Osaka. You just have to deal with the massive death waves rolling over the shores like a GTA mod. You get used to it.

Nothing Ambiguous makes is boring, only ever entertaining and interesting as to how he will figure out how to tackle needs and wants for thses challenges. Always a pleasure to watch.
FYI, its kinda late now lol but, you can build a sea wall and pump out the water instead of raising the land above sea level to save money. the dutch way
You can also build disaster shelters to make sure less people die from flooding lmao.
nice pfp
But then you'd first need to locate and then funnel out the waterblowholes.
Can you put buildings on stilts, like smart people living in flood zones normally do in the real world?
@@sideways5153 Smart people don't live in flood zones in the first place.

As someone who works in customer service, I need that
the fact that you can literally watch the grass grow in this game is amazing
Yeah they did a good job with the small details like that.
Great challenge 👍😁
Heyo there's a name I recognize well ✌️✌️
@@ambiguousamphibian hey would you do Corporate INC ...or Ant Buster?
Gotta love how even in City: Skylines he's still playing Rollercoaster Tycoon.
I imagine the terraforming in this game is sorta like a dark ritual, requiring both costly ingredients and the souls of cityfolk to perform. The flooding isnt the game being wonky, it's the toll being collected by the great ones.
i love this
The Dutch would be so proud of you right now.
I wish these city builder videos were longer, like 20 minutes roughly, your narrating is top tier 🙏
sometimes we all find ourselves looking toward the future with reckless abandon before looking back and realizing that we were miserable the whole way there. I find myself pondering if it was all worth the suffering but I cant change what was done. time only moves one way and rather than look to the future for answers we should focus on the here and now.
This is unironically how GTA cities look like
9:05 buddy described nyc perfectly lol
I can’t stress enough how deserving ambiguousamphibian is of 1 million subscribers.
Cities skylines: miami simulator
I love how you always break the games you play
7:50 XDXD, best moment
Usually an AA Video ends in disaster when things get boring and stale, resulting in hours of work destroyed in moments- But this time it simply ended in the ennui of achieving everything we set out to do and fulfilling all of our goals, and honestly, I don't know what's worse. :(
The proper name of a tidelwave of poop is called a turdlewave
Turdal Wave is scientifically outdated, it's a poonami now.
All they really wanted was to watch Bluefin Tuna all day. Relatable.
I like how you can tell this city was built by sims city player just by how it looks.

Ig it was on an island prone to floods/tsunamis that could cause an accident but other than that nuclear power is cool

"It was brutal, but also logistical." Beautifully spoken
"there are perks to uneducated people" is such a villainous line.
Why am I always depressed after watching the ending of your videos, you have a gift for the dramatics.

I love this channel because I would never play any of the games featured because they don't have any kind of overarching story, but AA crafts this masterpiece of a narrative to make the experience engaging and thought-provoking.
That was a beautiful journey. This was not a gameplay challenge, but a handcrafted experience of the human condition … and flushing poop.

Your voice makes me want to learn, but only non-essential trivial information. Thanks.
When someone does so much better messing around with the game then you do trying 😂
I love how he tries to make one of the safest forms of power seem scary
was lowkey losing my mind during that segment. And CS is even one of the most unambiguously pro-nuclear games there is! Especially with how saturated the genre is with 90 IQ “Non-GMO” hipster devs.
when your city gets tsunamis regularly, it can make anything dangerous
your videos are always amazing, the poetry like commentary flows so well with the acts of war being committed within the games
Loved the quick but effective Gorillaz reference at the end there.

10 times better than any of my attempts to play this game
Probably alone on this but I would love to see a CDDA playthrough by AA. Curious to see what sorta philosophies he's gonna come up with
Si ma porcodio
what the heck is CDDA
He has one. An entire series in fact called Zero to Hero.
@@kayladove760 CDDA stands for Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead, which is a game that heavily inspired Project Zomboid. They were talking about CDDA the game, not the CDDA game mode in Zomboid
he said on one of his zomboid videos that if he could only play one game for the rest of his life it'd be CDDA, so... i'll bet it'd be pretty fascinating
Very much enjoyed! Thank you for the videos, they are great. I really enjoy your retro games and these simulation ones are hilarious too. Please keep making them!
1:54 for some reason that scared the shit out of me, musta been playing too much Tarkov getting ptsd over noises.
How can a urbanization challange reflect our society so well?
I've never understood why nuclear power-plants are dangerous if badly staffed in this game, you'd think the devs would understand that all modern designs are fail-safe, they will literally shut off if something goes bad, it's actually more of a challenge to keep the damn things running. They LIKE to fail safely.
A likely story
Unfortunately that doesn't work with my narrative...
@@ambiguousamphibian True, it's just one of those gripes of mine. Really sucks we could have safe, sustainable energy at a low cost but... well, muh windmills and muh solar panels (And kickbacks from those companies for the politicians who favour them). Doubly infuriating when you remember that England is a fantastic place for nuclear power, no major disasters asides from flooding in historic, flood-prone areas.
I'd guess it's meant to be a homage to the exploding nuclear plants of SimCity.
Or maybe the devs are badly informed/have a chip on their shoulder about nuclear power. I wouldn't know if they _are/did_ or not.
I enjoy anything city skylines, always feel free to upload more of it!
I truly adore your poetry and ponderings. You are very relaxing to listen to. Smooth, even.
5:45 just one more lane bro!
I absolutely love the content mate :) I really like your digressions and would love to see more philosophy in your videos. keep it up. :D
also if you think you have anything interesting to do in rim world we would watch it :D
What's the matter of philosophy if you unwilling to implement it into your life? Just for the sake of laughs or just as a simple treat in a form of squeaking clean irony on you, your family, your relatives and society you live in?
Miserable.
@@lowe_sa2976 you should worry about learning some grammar before worrying about philosophy

"It was brutal but also logistical"
overheard at the nuremberg trials
"Most of the residents didn't finish elementary school, or never attended in the first place"
"There was an explosion at the nuclear power plant"
I wonder if these factors were connected in some way
Every video you post is so enjoyable to watch, great editing too
This is perfection! I laughed, cried and much in between.
I was getting ready for bed when the "tidal waves of doodoo water" bit came up, and I very nearly lost the mouthwash I had in my mouth.
Then the "we don't need a fire department because everyone's house is flooded.. just with raw sewage" line came in, and I subsequently spent a few minutes cleaning up my bathroom counter and mirror which wound up entirely hosed down with mouthwash.
I haven't had a struggling not to laugh moment like that in years lol
I was waiting for this after the sim city one lol, very nice!
Wouldn't be ambiguousamphibian without some soul searching in the video as you face great challenges.
