Fastlane suffers from having an awful name, if Fastlane was instead replaced by a classic PPV name then it'd be way more memorable. Bad Blood, Unforgiven, Armageddon, No Way Out. All of those would be infinitely better and more memorable.
I remember Fastlane 2016's Main Event because me, my sister, and my cousin were watching the show and we were all betting on who was winning like as if we were betting our lives for the main event, we were kids so it was real to us, my sister is the biggest Roman Reigns fangirl so she was betting on Roman, my cousin 100% believed in Brock Lesnar winning and I really wanted to see Dean Ambrose win the WWE title at Mania so I betted on him and we had a grand time watching that Triple threat! ^^
Kevin Owens losing to Goldberg is one of my least favourite decisions in history, imagine how good it would've been if Kevin Owens Vs. Chris Jericho was for the Universal title and we got a Jericho world title run. That would've made the Universal Title immediately more prestigious but instead we had to wait until Roman's current reign for that to happen.

I'm sorry but Jinder's reign was awful. He was a jobber who became champ over night and they didn't even acknowledge that fact and just acted like Jinder was a credible talent when he was far from it. Then his matches were very basic and boring, they all were the same. He'd hit a few basic moves (Rest Holds, a Drop Kick, a Close line) The Singh brothers would interfere and get beat up, then Jinder would come outta nowhere and hit his finisher for the win. Then the only "Unique" match from his reign was the punjabi prison match which is considered to be one of the worst world title matches ever. I was actually on board when Jinder first won the title but what followed was complete garbage

I was at 2016 and 2019 fastlane. I was definitely surprised how good the shows ended up being. My ex and I went home very happy after both shows. Both main events were bangers!
Fastlane 2017 was my breaking point. I legit stopped watching wwe & wrestling all together until WrestleMania 38. it came on the big tvs at my job & seeing cody rhodes come back, kevin owens fighting stone cold & roman & brock unifying the titles got me back into wrestling. Roman Reigns’ historic reign as universal champion got me super invested in wwe again along with Gunther’s incredibly hard hitting japan like matches. Tbh right now is an incredible time to be a wrestling fan. glad i started watching again.
21:45 Personally, the Thunderdome era was a time I loved so much, I personally enjoyed the shows with that virtual crowd, it was awesome and fun to watch, I was into the matches with no problem. Also I think it was the best year of Roman Reings, is where he turned heel and it was crazy how he changed a lot. I was fully invested in the storyline that he was starting back then, I don't know how to express this, but the perfect word for now is that it was an underrated time, and it was a time I absolutely enjoyed so much, all characters were on top, and quarintine just hit different with that program. I love that era and I would rewatch with no problem any fav match. Rollins, Reings, Mcintyre, they were just awesome

Fastlane is one those ppvs ive never cared about it never really served much of purpose and always seemed just there although the Reigns and Bryan matches and the underrated Six Pack match are the only memorable things from an overall forgettable ppv installment

I remember Fastlane being a PPV that I usually have time to actually watch live when I got back into wrestling. I think Fastlane suffers from being the embodiment of B level PPV as well as being the PPV right before Wrestlemaina which makes people usually either skip it because usually nothing huge happens, on top of since it’s a basic PPV card there’s never any stipulations tied to the event or really any stipulations added to most matches.

I wish you would have went more in depth for Brays segment at 2015’s fast lane instead of the quick mention. I'm one of the few online who doesn't hate the Goldberg title win as I thought Goldberg added to much name power to the title's infancy value being it's 3rd ever-holder. That said I fully understand that Brock vs Goldberg didn't need the title, and Y2J and KO had a long program built up for them to have that match. But still it's not something I feel is worth people's anger compared to the 2nd time where Goldberg beat The Fiend with no storyline progression and just flat-out dropped it to Braun at Mania 36.
I call this PPV Fastlame, cause all the Fastlane show were nothing special for me personally. I think what made me sour on this PPV, was the fact that this show was originally suppose to replace the Elimination Chamber, so that way the company could save money. I’m sorry, but you can’t replace the Elimination Chamber PPV, unless you have the actual chamber match at Fastlane. I will say this, the 2021 show was the best one & the fact that it took place in The Thunderdome is saying a lot. I consider the match against Bryan one of the most important in Roman's career. Prior to that he really struggled in single matches, which made hard to believe he would even be a good in ring performer, but that match changed everything. His character was terrible, but his wrestling skills were decent and it was only the beginning of his solo career. Of course it had to be Daniel Bryan the main responsible for that, one of the GOATS.
Fastlane will never be in the 98-2009 Range of PPV's names in greatness. But it's a far better name than something named after a match stipulation. Fav match is probably The 6 Man Challenge match. AJ Styles 2nd WWE Championship run is really good in places.

I consider the match against Bryan one of the most important in Roman's career. Prior to that he really struggled in single matches, which made hard to believe he would even be a good in ring performer, but that match changed everything. His character was terrible, but his wrestling skills were decent and it was only the beginning of his solo career.
Of course it had to be Daniel Bryan the main responsible for that, one of the GOATS.
Fastlane will never be in the 98-2009 Range of PPV's names in greatness. But it's a far better name than something named after a match stipulation.
Fav match is probably The 6 Man Challenge match. AJ Styles 2nd WWE Championship run is really good in places.

Credit where credit is due no matter how you feel about Roman Reigns' booking, he's always created the atmosphere that a good and badass match was about to happen, even before he was as good on the mic as he is now.
