I am a big separates person, so this is right up my street!. Oh and your teddy top - everything about it is gorgeous and it looks just perfect on you. I also love your bias cut skirt. You are right about people in the past being shorter. It is all to do with nutrition. I find this particularly apparent where I live in rural France. Most of the locals come from poorer agricultural backgrounds. However this area is a top Parisian 'second home' spot. They stand out from the locals, they are always much taller and often have a vaguely aristocratic air because they have basically eaten better for generations. No mystery really!
I always enjoy your content. You're right to soak up every bit of summer sun from start to end. The modal wrap blouse and peasant blouse fit your profile in terms of style and colors and should be in heavy rotation, but today I can't stop staring at your Style Arc Teddy. It's such a perfect combination of pattern and color, especially on you! Nice pattern placement. Those blues, that collar, that hemline, your coloring. Wow. Isn't that what most of us would like to nail someday: special garments that are nonetheless wearable in real life? Why isn't it easier to achieve every time? Best wishes on your engagement, your intended is very lucky.
Beautiful makes. Woulld you, could you do a video on your fit adjustments. I'm currently making a toile of some pants and I honestly know I need to make adjustments so it fits my small waist and ample booty 😊 but I dont know where to start.
I'm so glad I came across your channel. I've discovered new pattern companies and I love that you are spending a good amount of time showing us your work and giving tips! Love the teddy top, adding it to my list!
Your makes are amazing ❤️🔥, they all have just the perfect fabric and pattern pairings! I really adore your style. May I ask what dress are you wearing in this video - like everything else, it just looks so beautiful on you! ❤
Beautiful makes Steph, my favourite is - of course - the peasant blouse! 😊 So glad you're enjoying the patterns! I love how 70s patterns are so timeless in their cut ❤
Congratulations again on your engagement! ❤ I didn't realize vintage patterns had shorter waists, that's good to know. My favorite is that last one! I love a peasant blouse, the length is so flattering, and I am such a sucker for paisley 😍 With my proportions, I assumed bias cut slip skirts were a dream.... But you sold me on that pattern! It is so flattering on you, it's absolutely gorgeous. I cannot wait to see wedding dress videos when you get around to it ❤❤
Nothing more satisfying than playing chicken with limited fabric for a project and it works! Did that with a tote bag I made recently, with random fabric picked up at a local equivalent of the Goodwill bins. I think I have one skinny strip left and a tiny handful of cabbage.
Love love love the garments you’ve made! I recently got back into sewing after many years hiatus (your channel was def an inspiration) and so I’m focusing on rebuilding those skills. I recently made a tencel fabric midi skirt and now focusing on a pair of linen trousers for summer (with some adjustments needed from the base pattern for sure!!)
I am shaped just like you! I have a booty and love your content. You give me a very good idea of how your makes will look on me. As you know, finding clothes to fit us properly on the bottom can be challenging. If the waist fits it doesn't go over the hips and if it fits in the hips you could put two of you in the waist. I guess its better than a flat booty. Huh? Thanks for sharing with us!
Wow! Love them all & great cuts & colors on you! The linen (Style Arc) was gorgeous, but I think the wrap top was my favorite. But I also like the dress & how well the neck line fits you & the pattern placement. Was trying to figure out if the curved bands are seams, or just trim detail... Congrats & thanks for a great share & info on them & the exterior shots! (And I resemble that remark of years of hoarding fabrics waiting for the right pattern... I've just been practicing that for a decade or two longer...😂)
Thanks so much!! Regarding the dress I'm wearing, the curved bands are both seams and trim! The fabric is a thin, slubby silk jersey, and the seam looked really awful when I first did it. I couldn't unpick without stretching it and making the problem worse, so used the border print of the fabric as trim and hand sewed that on to fix ☺️
Would you please consider a video on how you tweaked the trouser fit? I always have so much fabric in the front to account for the back and I have no idea how to resolve it x
I love your makes. I have a similar body shape, so I appreciated getting some pattern recommendations - particularly the slip skirt and the teddy blouse. Also, congratulations on your engagement🎉
Glad you like them, and thank you for the warm wishes. I'm definitely a bit surprised on how much the slip skirt and tunic worked out- I would not have previously thought they'd suit me!
New to your channel and so enjoyed this video. Your garments are amazing and inspiring. I’m so happy I found your channel! About to binge watch your channel😊
Never would have considered the Teddy Top if I hadn't seen your version. That neckline is so beautiful! Style Arc's own photos don't come close to your top.
Yes indeed! This is a vintage pattern made up in a silk jersey from Tosca Italian Fabrics (search for Kilim prints). I go into more detail in my makes video from June 2023 ☺️❤
I am a product of the 70's and you are bringing back a lot of memories in clothing. And CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement!
The linen fabric with the blue iris is just beautiful. I think the Teddy top was a perfect choice.
The bias slip skirt is beautiful and looks stunning on you. The teddy designer top, my goodness, beautiful. It just suits you so well.

I love your makes. They’re fabulous. I really love that Style Arc top, gorgeous fabric and style. Perfection!
Love the patterns but something I absolutely love is your taste on fabric selection! Thanks
I'm so glad! Fabric choice is just as exciting to me as the actual sewing 😭
Beautiful work. The vintage wrap top is a stunner.

This was so fun to watch! The pink skirt, linen top & peasant top were my faves.
Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching 💕
Did you make the teddy top in your size? I'm looking at that too at the moment and try to decide for arm length/shoulder fit. thanks
You are so inspiring ❤ thank you for another fabulous video xx
You are so welcome!
The tops are cute!
Love that you love my 70’s 😂❤❤❤

Those sound like great projects to get back into sewing! Definitely projects you would get loads of wear out of ☺️
