Thank you so much for these videos!! I've just discovered your channel and I've binged all of them 😅 I've been on a sewing slump for ages but thanks to you I've seen new pattern brands that have inspired me to sew for myself again (I work as a pattern maker, so I was starting to lose the excitement of making things for me because it felt like work... but seeing all those new patterns and creators has filled me with joy and new ideas!) Keep doing what you're doing, because it's amazing 🌟
Mau patterns and Sewingman patterns spoke to me. I need to make some well fitting denim pants so I’m looking at patterns. Did I miss your video on using your machine to embellish fabrics? I used your tease as inspiration to use some decorative stitches to hold a few neck facings in place on my V neck sleeveless summer tops. 👍🏾
Thank you for this video. I love the way I learned about new designers from you. I am very intrigued by the sewing man patterns. You are correct when you say that some of your viewers really like this kind of stuff because it is right up my alley.
I discovered your channel today and did a bit of a binge watch. I love it. Such interesting topics and original content. You’ve given me the confidence to sew some active wear and now to try some different new to me pattern designers. Keep doing what you’re doing.
You just popped up on my RUclips feed this morning. I really enjoyed seeing some new pattern companies and will be checking them out. Of course I will also have to take a look at your previous vlogs. I am very intrigued to see your content.
Same here! I’ve never seen this vlog before (so I just subbed). I really enjoyed watching the comprehensively curated content. Can’t wait to check these new indie designers out & get sewing…while I binge watch all of Steph’s previous videos of course!
Hello Steph! Love your international pattern videos and looking forward to try some of the mau patterns. I'm a huge CJ fan, I think her patterns are just so classy and original. Thank you for this nice video
I would love to see Mau focus on extended sizes in the more complicated/difficult patterns. Often only the simplest patterns get sized up. I think that a sixty inch hip is the minimum that should be expected to call a pattern size inclusive. I would also encourage them to work with a fat fashion designer/consultant on larger sizes, to do the sizing up right. I'd be interested in sewing the Bellamy but I have about a 70" hip so I'd be surprised if a high fashion pattern designer went that inclusive.
Thank you for sharing this! I completely agree- it is frustrating to see designers hype about extending their size range, but then they release boxy tunics or elastic waist trousers only. What is your favourite inclusive brand? I've heard great things about Muna and Broad (though they don't offer a similar style to Mau), and I also am excited for the launch of Starling Plus Petite.
@@StephSewn I'm a huge fan of Muna and Broad, they do boxy but it is a specific aesthetic version of it based on the designer's tastes. I haven't looked into Starling Plus Petite, but I will now :)
The sewing man pattern with the top I love. I am tall so I have a long trunk. And here in Oklahoma it is 100 degrees so something light and airy is perfect! Love your videos! So interesting out of the ordinary items.
Yes I'm so glad you spotted something you liked! And woof- that is hot! We've had a few days in the 80s in London, which doesn't sound bad, but very few homes have AC and homes are kind of built to keep heat in. I don't know what would happen here if it got to 100 😂
Thank you for these new sewing pattern companies! 💖💖💖 Lovely patterns. 🧵🪡 Question? Have you come across a sewing pattern company that has petite patterns for women? Thank you. 💕
I love seeing new to me pattern companies! I've had a few items from Sewingman favorited on Etsy for a while now and I may need to go ahead and make something. I'm a little bit in love with the Hobo Bag, which looks like a fairly simple pattern to try my hand at bag sewing.
Really interesting video as always. I so enjoyed this. I love Indian block print fabrics and often sew with them so the Karmme patterns really appealed. By the way, there was absolutely nothing wrong with your pronounciation of Charlotte's name! I am really looking forward to your next video as I have a lot of decorative stitches on my machine that I don't use much, so it would be good to explore more of what my machine can do.
Thank you!! It turns out I was actually pronouncing Karmme wrong- it is supposed to be like "Calm". The perils of international roundups 😂 Can't wait to finish filming the decorative stitch video- I really hope you like it!
@@StephSewn omg you replied to my comment!❤❤ You made my day! Thank you!! I love her Alix dress and the josten top. Her designs are unique and think outside the box kinda stuff. I hope you try some of her pattern ❤.

Super cool selections! Thanks
I love your indie pattern reviews. You've introduced me to so many new pattern companies.
Great video Steph! Love these off the beaten path pattern makers series. There’s something for everyone. Thanks!

Having lived in Korea, those designs are perfect for their heat with high humidity. East coast USA would also benefit.
I love the videos in this series and that top is giving life!
I think I need the Mau Elle top and Callie trousers in my life! Thanks for the introduction.
I love your series !!! Thank you for sharing :D
Thanks Steph, I enjoy being introduced to Indy patterns, a refreshing change from the usual brands.
Thank you for sharing! I look forward to your videos coming out :)

Glad you enjoyed it! And totally agree- I can't think of any pattern designer similar to CJ.

Thanks Steph, I’ve just ordered the top you’re wearing - great price and even better with your discount.
