FYI: When Ronnie Barker say's "look at that, just like a Teddy Boy's haircut..." (pointing at the back of the duck's feathers!). Teddy Boy's were around in the 1950's Britain, with their own fashion, gang culture and Rockabilly music. But their haircut was known as a 'DA' - Which stood for 'Ducks Arse'... 😂😂😂
Wondered if it had been written by Clement and La Frenais at first, as the dialog started off very much like Fletcher in Porridge. But now you say it, can definitely imaging this being a conversation with Trigger.
forget the reaction, jodie was a legend on this video, her confidence over the years as gone right up there, from the shy girl in front of the camera, to now being the boss, what hat you got, you looking ok, hurry up, im sorted ready to go, pure legend jodie
The two ronnies ended way before Barker passed away, who died in 2005, the last series was 25th Dec 1985 to 1st Feb 1986, they did made a 1987 Christmas special.
I think Jodi is starting to warm to the Two Ronnies, I think these were the ones she wasn't too keen on at first. Always nice to see someone be a not sure of an comedian but start to get them as they get used to their humour.
Allllllllllllllll right lol yep that was a crackler! Both of you losing your voices a little there! I bet there are a few funny starter outtakes by now with these intros! Not sure if it's a thing in the states, but in many cities here in the day we have fundraiser events where you buy a plastic yellow duck like a lottery ticket (or buy a few) and they get raced along a river. A bit of fun especially in big cities where there are thousands floating along lol Always fun, thanks guys!
Thank you beautiful people for my daily fix.🙏 on a short vacation with friends in Peru, who wondered what was making me laugh having morning coffee. You guys transition any culture with your warmth and openness. Thank you.💜 have a wonderful day until next fix 😎
I always wonder about the quack in this sketch , it seems natural and actually interrupts them a bit .I do think the dog spoils the end a bit but it does prove it was live .I'd love to see you react to Ronnie B's Cockney sermon , or any of his monologues which featured his incredible wordplay .
If you like British comedy. I recommend That Mitchell and Webb Look It started the careers of David Mitchell ,Robert Webb and of course the lovely Olivia Coleman
Great comedians legends you might want to check out Joe lycetts e mails very clever and funny he was on 8 out of 10 cats does countdown he was in dictionary corner which you reacted to a couple of weeks ago
I've always loved this sketch it's almost perfect.... But he's definitely dragging that dog. 4 out of 5 stars because of the dog dragging.. Would recommend. After all, it was the 70s. Things were different. You could drag dogs, and nobody raised an eyelid. At least, that's what my mother always said. Sorry, I've been drinking again.
@@geofftottenperthcoys9944Yes it was actually.. I keep ducks including this species and many other species of ornamental waterfowl.. It is a female which has a loud and distinctive quack.. The male quack sounds different.. The quack was from a female.. The duck in the cage was a drake (male).. It was a sound effect time to fit in with the joke..

I never knew that the hair cut was called "Ducks Arse". An important detail I never understood. Thank you!
@GaelicMagyar
You're welcome... 👍
A sketch written by the great John Sullivan, the same man who went on to write Britain’s greatest sitcom, ‘Only Fools and Horses’.
Wondered if it had been written by Clement and La Frenais at first, as the dialog started off very much like Fletcher in Porridge. But now you say it, can definitely imaging this being a conversation with Trigger.

That Quack was legit comedy
Ahhh, the Two Ronnies … ALWAYS worth watching 🤗 Thanks for sharing, I haven’t seen this one in a long time 👍✨
"It'll be like water of an Argentinian racing pigeon's back to him".... a genius line
I always forget that line when ever I want to use it.
Love this sketch 😊 thanks guys!
John Sullivan also wrote 'Citizen Smith' and 'Dear John' which were brilliant. 'Dear John' had an American version with the same title.
I'm pretty sure the duck is not an actor with the ability to know its cues🤣
And they say that comedy of the past isn't funny anymore. I'm sitting here with the biggest smile ever :)
Some of the very good jokes flying over your head - black moon rock from the Coal man FFS
The two ronnies ended way before Barker passed away, who died in 2005, the last series was 25th Dec 1985 to 1st Feb 1986, they did made a 1987 Christmas special.
Over 900 years…proper grafters
The title screwed the punch line of the first reveal.
still not as bad as that 'dellboy falls at the bar' video.
Enjoyed that, you should watch the Only Fools and Horses chandelier sketch it's a classic ❤
or the bar scene , shant elaborate as it would spoil it for others.
Black moon rock……yes the coal man!
I think Jodi is starting to warm to the Two Ronnies, I think these were the ones she wasn't too keen on at first. Always nice to see someone be a not sure of an comedian but start to get them as they get used to their humour.
I had an Argentinian racing pigeon just like that so I don't see what's so funny
if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck
it's a Argentinian racing Pidgeon
Allllllllllllllll right lol yep that was a crackler! Both of you losing your voices a little there! I bet there are a few funny starter outtakes by now with these intros!

Drake's male ducks can't quack so the sound was added
'you're illogical to feathers'.
The title REALLY should be Racing Pigeon or Argentinian racing pigeon. It would make the reveal so much funnier.
I would imagine that the duck quacking was a sound effect, but it was timed so well that it appeared to be impromptu.

You might try Swedish Made Simple by the Two Ronnies.
love the wookie t-shirt
The funny thing is that English are really like that. 🇦🇺

Clacton jokes are all the rage, decades later. Ahead of their time, these guys.
They can't make comedy like this anymore.
If you like British comedy. I recommend That Mitchell and Webb Look

in case you wondering what a teddy boys haircut is, it was referred to as a DA ( ducks arse )
Of course Jodie hadn’t seen the cap before, it’s camouflaged…
There's an annual duck race in Hebden Bridge
And in Bourton on the Water. Plastic ones.

As you like Michael McIntyre please checked his Send to all clips especially Sharon Osborne episode ❤
How do you think they'd get on with Bottom maybe to slap stick
I've always loved this sketch it's almost perfect....
But he's definitely dragging that dog.
4 out of 5 stars
because of the dog dragging..
Would recommend.

I think you will find the quack was a sound effect..
No it was not actually

its a cap not a hat
You might want to look up the word "DUCK" in a dictionary if your not sure what it is.
