Never cease to amaze me how both Brit’s and Americans, when attempting to have fun with Scandinavians, always bring on people who speak English with a heavy German accent, and in this case also have one of them dressed in an Austrian costume! Whatever it is none of the figures has the slightest resemblance to anything Swedish!
Another great one from the Two Ronnies is a Ronnie Barker solo sketch "Mispronunciation". Ronnie Barker wrote most of the material for the show and he loved language and word play which is why it crops up a lot in the sketches.
This is a memorable sketch , it only works if you think of a Scandinavian person speaking English and very clever - probably an inspiration when text messaging came along . It did end a little abruptly but this was a part of a longer show and it was just right . If it had got a bit more complicated they would have lost the audience . It's another example of how good the two Ronnies were and how well they complimented each other . Loved your reactions to this one .

The woman was carrying Ham on the plate, so when he said 9 (“No” in German. It’s “Nay” in Swedish, but using a bit of comedic license) V.F.N.10.E.M (we haven’t any Ham) the other Ronnie said I.F.C.D.M (I have seen the Ham).

Me too, fell on the floor at the last comment and still do to this day LMFAO!

Ham and eggs.

Fun fact. Ombudsmann is a word used in English, German, Swedish, Norwegian & Danish. Maybe even Icelandic.
WATCHING AMERICANS STRUGGLE WITH BRITISH 🇬🇧 ACCENTS🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😵💫😵💫😵💫🙋♂️🤷♂️
The joke is the Norwegian accent. So We sounds like V, Eggs sounds like X, Ham sounds like M etc
It was fun watching two teachers figuring it out I enjoyed that one.

The M should have been easy because she had the ham on the plate.

MNX- ham and eggs
You also have to remember that in the UK we pronounce Z as Z, rather than Z.
