Lindee, your videos are always so informative. I own Bernina V8 and have been taking a serious look at Hatch because of the similarities. So during the next 20 days of my trial, your videos are my first choice to watch.

Hi Linda, this is very interesting, im new to Hatch, I have a Bernina 790+ and when I save in Hatch Bernina exp I dont get the same colours when I stitch it out. I changed the file to Melco exp but still it will not show the save colours. I use Robinson thread , I put this in Hatch get simular colors but still not joy. I was wondering if you new a way I could get the colours

Hello - I am struggling with the tiling issue. I have saved the swatch I am creating in various sizes. It appears the tiling is visible depending on where on the screen your object is. So, if I have a circle and fill with a fabric and it looks fine, if I move the circle, the fabric seems to not move with it and thus there is tiling. I've saved swatches bigger than my hoop size but it is not solving the problem.
Could you tell me why the program does this?? Thank you, your videos have taught me so much.

Yes, that's how it works if your tile is not created as a seamless pattern. Why it does that, I can only guess. My guess is that the program tiles from some specific fixed location and doesn't move and the applique function is essentially performing a crop of the background at that point. I imagine it like wallpaper and I'm just moving the design over the wallpaper. Sometimes I will move the design just to get a better export image (Capture Bitmap) but then center the design again for saving and exporting.

@@LindeeGVideos That's helpful information. I will stop driving myself crazy resizing and resizing again in Photoshop. So I should look up how to save my image as a seamless pattern? Thank you again.

@@marleemargulies4295 For a pattern to be seamless, it must be a continuous repeat of some sort like chevrons or polka dots. (Look up seamless patterns in Adobe Illustrator.) Batik fabrics would be really hard to make seamless.
