A man only ask what you bring to the table when they cannot see your contribution to their life. Otherwise they already know what you bring to the table.

WISDOM! Old Skool love - I got married 30 years ago with coins in my pocket and in one bedroom. My wife and I saw potential and synergy to make the life we desired. There were times she held the baton and times it was passed to me. You are attracted to who you deserve.

Man! I love this conversation. Chuku is a VIBE! Ladies I’m sorry but I agree with the men. Didn’t think I would initially, but I do. Ladies what we bring to the table is not just tangible. It’s the peace of mind, the business partner, covering my man (family) in the place of prayer and MUCH MORE!!!!! So help me God.

When Nedu asked Naomi "What she brings to the table", she actually didn't know what to say. She kept trying to avert the question giving her time to think, even at that, she still didn't come up with something substantial. Naomi as she said brings vibes, but as Nedu said, no be vibes go take care of family.
When a man asks "what you bring to the table", 70% of the time, men don't want your money. They just want to know if you can be their peace after every storm they face on a daily basis. They want to know if you can encourage and have the capacity to suggest and give ideas that can help the family. Men watch how you react to these questions, and your reaction and the way you address the question has already given him the answer he needs

Asking someone what they bring to the table, be it the guy or the girl makes no sense! If someone actually brings something to the table, or can bring something to the table, you will see it from the persons actions or discover it as you relate with the person. Asking someone what they bring to the table is senseless because if the person would actually answer you, they won’t tell you “I bring nothing”. Actions speak louder than words! and empty vessels make the loudest noise!

This is my best episode so far. Naomi said she brings vibes to the table 😆. "Good luck shopping for groceries with vibes.
I must say that question is relative though.
I am married and I know what the men are on about. How do u as a wife call ur husband that is far away in another city and be asking for money for maggi and salt?
Now it all depends on the woman u are marrying or married to. Some women will clearly have d money and still want u to do every damn thing while some will ask u because they don't have it.
My conclusion is, it is not about what a woman tells u she is bringing to d table but what u see she's capable of bringing to the table in d course of ur relationship with her. Dont bank on words of mouth oo...bank on what u can see already.

Your last statement is the pure fact.
If you don't want to get into it and start expecting manifestation of "what they bring to the table", if you don't feel the vibe of what you want now that you are not in deep, my dear, move on.

You expect the courtesy of a man crediting your account on the first date but he cannot get the courtesies of a deep conversation on the first date? The lovely ladies CAPPED AGAIN. Nedu it is all this "having fun" that causes heartbreak. Husband-material, I agree with you. This is what separates someone dating seriously from someone frolicking. What are we talking about on the dates then? Flirting our way to nowhere? C-A-P. LOVE YA'LL.

The question started the moment extreme feminism started..and this question is only when the man and woman don’t treat each other as best friends..cos you won’t allow your best friend to take all the responsibilities in your relationship..you share it..for any type of ship to work you need to share responsibilities..there’s reciprocal communication.

Naomi, when a guy ask you what do you bring to the table just know your strength which includes the following: mindset, orientation, financial independence, values, ideas and Etc. A man likes sex and want sex but it is not their needs. A man needs an active partner in a relationship, not a sleeping or domaint partner.

The question of "What Do You Bring To The Table" is seldom not verbally asked but the muses and vibes will definitely tell you. However, it usually is not always financially inclined but those qualities do aid in the financial capabilities of both parties - What is your spiritual, mental capacity like? What has shaped your person, both parties should and must be intentional! A man will wanna know that you can be a pillar when his side of the bearings are shaky, not necessarily on a financial note, but will you be that place of solace, a body of encouragement when he's low, vice versa! Everybody has an accountability to reach!
For men who aren't "the head" alone as per financial status, stability and contribution, a true king knows his duties are also in emotional intelligence, dual communication to foster a better home than that which he was raised in, to build capacity in himself, his Queen and his offsprings, to better his environment by actually contributing - being the example, to cater to physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs as the need arises, to be the priest of his home!
To love and to care, to listen👂 and be taught, to have a heart of reason! Just to mention a few.

I think the question of what both parties bring to the table has always been there ...perhaps very salient. As a man, I do not have to ask the question directly like we are having a debate. I'd know whether you are adding anything to the relationship or not as time goes by. Let's not forget, we can't put the cart before the horse, you need to date a person to know whether such relationship would evolve to the next level or not.

Anyone can talk or say anything to satisfy what your ears want to hear and heart wants to believe….as an individual you’re meant to study actions over words, over time….Everything you want to know about someone is engrained in their character which would unfold in their daily lives the more you get to know them. So you think you’d meet me today and I’ll tell you “I’ll split our bills and wake up 5 am to begin the affairs of our home and rub your feet after a long day of you hustling? Nope, I’m not applying for a job; I’m trying to get to know you as person and hopefully a future husband or wife if our needs and wants from one another align. How hardworking is this person with their job or something their passionate about? How responsible are they in their personal lives? Are they honest and transparent? What are their life goals? How kind are they to their family friends strangers? What are their political views? How do they react in conflict? What are their religious ideologies? What are their stance on certain social issues? These are the things you take note of when you’re interested in someone and have long term intentions with them, even if it’s just mere friendship…..I can’t tell you what I’m going to do as a wife until I am one, but you sure will know if I’m the type of human being you see yourself spending the rest of your life with the more you get to know Me!!

It's mostly asked in the mind. The guy observes the needs & values the girl brings.

As a guy we have lots of responsibilities to shoulder and I don't think it's too much to ask your significant other for support when needed. We all need support and that's why people get married, to have that one person to lean on at the lowest point.
So the question about what you bring to the table shouldn't be a problem, you want withdraw from esusu wey you no get savings? It's not done.

A wise lady with value will not allow any man to stop her from working or supporting . Becaus a time will come when issue will arise and you might live the mans house empty handed . It’s only a lazy and selfish woman that will listen to a man who wants her not to do anything at all .

So it’s simple and I am speaking on behalf of a good number of men out there. We actually don’t want your money. All we ask is just show that effort or gesture that you want to contribute towards something. Relationship is a team work it shouldn’t be one sided. Men don’t like that mindset most ladies have which is. “A man is responsible for anything payment of bills” once you exhibit that mentality of men should always be the giver then a man would never take you serious, to him you belong to the streets. It’s that simple!

I agree with Naomi... out rightly asking anyone that question is rude... It's better to take time to know someone and judge for yourself. That's the risk that comes with having meaningful relationships. Or at least trying to. And like husband material said, at a point in time, that question will be asked... but it should be, in my opinion, asked to self.. as a way of assessing the progress of your relationship or even your personal development and that of your partner. Because people can add value to themselves with time. 🤷‍♀🤷‍♀

😂 So it's right to ask a man what does he do at first date, but it's not good to ask a woman whether she's a liability or an asset?

That question should not be what you directly ask your partner. You should be able to know by virtue of relationship and conversation. By asking means, she is actually not bringing anything to the table

The table must not be financial but managerial skill is top on most mans list, ability to take care of the home is another. It not always about bills it about goals of both individuals, that would improve them. I think most men really don’t ask what u bring to the table but most observe and know what she got. Even financial strength is not always constant! So if u base u decision on that then it’s not the solid rock u are standing on.

"What do you bring to the table" when asked by a woman is about finance,a man should be able to take care of his wife.but when asked by a man,it is not usually about finance.men dont want to share bills unless he cant afford it.men just want women that can encourage their hustle, pick them up when they are down, praise them and appreciate their effort, understand when its is excessive and scarce,Take care of them, the children and their asset.just give him peace, encourage and appreciate him.if a man get this from his woman he would never ask such question either the lady is working or not unless she is too demanding.

What do you bring to the table is mostly a finical question but you can cover up from other aspect of life, this question comes up mostly when someone is financially draining, and not calculative
