I actually like Eedris more now after listening to his own side of the story. Most Africans are so star struck once they see American artists, yet devalue their own worth in the process. I'm happy Eedris stood for himself, and showed confidence in his own musical gift and talent without needing to bow down to 50 cent
The Nigerian artistes in the plane who were too afraid to talk or intervene in the altercation are; Tony One Week, Gbenga Adeyinka, Daddy Showkey, Obesere and their band members. Eedris Abdulkareem fought a good fight and sacrificed his career because after the incident no corporate organization engages him in musical shows again.
Super proud of you Eedris. You were not even fighting for yourself. You kept saying it's not about the money. Much love and respect baba. We never appreciate people like you here
@Afri Media people who knows Fela Kuti def knows Eedris Abdulkareem....not all dem fake artist who talk about Fela but cant act like him not even 4 1 second....
So glad you took a firm stand and forced 50 Cent and his crew that they needed to respect African artists too and not feel like they were above them. Well done, Eedris - you remain a shining example for other self-respecting artists to follow 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😇
Eedris is 100 percent right to defend himself. It's good to hear from both sides.Alot of people said that Eedris attacked 50 cent because 50 cent pushed him out from his seat. But now everyone has heard the real story. So Eedris is right in all that he did.
Great interview 👍🏼👏🏽👏🏽👏🏾 i met you in Zurich city, Switzerland years back & i must say u're one in a million. Down to earth & towing your own lane. A truly talented Rapper with some crazy flow ✌🏽👍🏽 I personally enjoy you most on mainstream Hip Hop, you jump back & forth on beats like you don't care. Jaga Jaga was the very first Nigerian song that drove us crazy in the Nite Clubs in Europe. it was fire. Your song with Femi still blows my mind👐🏼 Looking forward to some better good old days bro. Keep keeping it real & never stop being who you are @eedris ✌🏽 Keep the faith. Keep fit & God bless.✌🏽👊
You may think you fought for yourself, that is your opinion anyway, but his timely appearance saved the day and added to the overall respect you have till today You may not agree but that is the truth
Thumbs up eedris for standing up for ur inalienable rights in ur own country.Frankly, people like me never knew the true situation of the drama, before now.Shame on those Nigerian acts who couldn't rescue a brother, but had to bad-mouth him in their stupidity and cowardice.Ur too much boss, keep ur esteem soaring like the eagle.
evrything is not money! as companies refused to hire you after that. but respect is bigger than money! i love what you did and gained a name for yourself and africans!
I came here to connect all the dots. And I just finished watching Young's Buck's account of what happened on that plane, Eddy Remedy and Tony Tetuila interviews with Daddy Freeze, and Eedris's account on that podcast. Aside that Eedris has his flaws (from The remedies saga to acting like a bully), him apologizing to 50cent on stage, was a good thing. He may not have 'fought for the industry' in every sense of the word, but he played a part in how the nigerian industry treated our local artistes around international artistes. Thats all!
This is tear-jerking for any coming-of-age Nigerian adult. I would have been 12 or so at the time this happened, but now coming to terms with the realization that the reality in this Naija is several degrees more serious than the sheltered circumstances and shenanigans of childhood and adolescence. Self deprecation of our nationality and selfishness at the highest levels. Eedris Abdulkareem more blessings to you. Your kind will live forever.
That’s why it’s good not to judge without hearing the full story from both sides. Now I understand why 50 cents never admitted to any issues when asked during a television interview in regards to this visit, because he knew the issue started from his own camp. 50 was smart enough to stay away from the topic.
Son - This is NYC talking, 50 cent is just one artist that represents himself and you are one artist that represent yourself... stop making this about black Americans vs Nigerians. EVERYONE KNOWS FIDDY LACKS MANNERS BUT THAT'S HIM, JUST ONE PERSON - SO IF YOU HAVE BEEF DON'T MAKE AN INTERNATIONAL THING.. ITS BETWEEN YOU AND HIM STANDING UP TO 50 IS NOT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT, STANDING AND GETTING WHAT YOU DESERVE IS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT.
Now I understand why Eedris was pullled down .. because He said the truth. You are a true man 👨,the attitude (Being afraid to speak)of other Nigerians musicians is common among we blacks.
GOD ALMIGHTY is all we have , please we all should take care of our health , enjoy our money and above all we should all surrender our lives to JESUS CHRIST of NAZARETH. GOD ALMIGHTY bless us all amen

The same Charly Boy that made the situation respectable for you. Imagine if no one came to your rescue that day. This Eedris dey like very ungrateful person.
Extremely ungrateful. Neither Asari Dokubor nor Festus Keyamo came to his aid so quickly. Yet he is here insulting the only person that responded quickly. Who was to bear the cost of mobilising all the people who came with Charlie boy to the airport? Would Eedris have paid for their transportation and efforts? Such an ungrateful, envious and entitled man. No wonder he never went global.
Idris his a great man, he really fought for Nigerians but the people whom he fought for where hypocritical there fore idris became arrogant and he never applied wisdom. That is the wisdom that 2face did, he played along and did it in an intellogent manner, I won't criticize idris, he is an hero. That my opinion
Idris is no longer popular because Nigerians dont know what good music is. Listen to his lyrics and compare to other's like Davido and the rest. That is why I don't listen to African tracks anymore
U are saying rubbish. There is difference BTW a good music and conscious message in a song. Because he talks about bad governance doesn't make it good music.Alaye,Go back to primary school
@@olajideoluwakayode5686 I agree. Eedris isn't really talented musically; in reality, he's a hustler and managed to make it in music when more talented people were not around. His songs are very poor.
And Burnaboy will open his mouth to say nobody in Nigeria paved a way for him. I guess he was still a toddler with Soboma when Edris was fighting for freedom and respect for African artistes
Nigeria is one place you stand for your right, even the people that will benefit from it will sell you out. Respect Eedris!!!!!!
But here he was suspecting the same Charly Boy that stood up for him. You don’t stand for people like him, you’d become the enemy.
Before they even sell you out, they would have first tried to discourage you. Dia slave mentality na follow come.
@@c.i.257How did Charly Boy stand up for him?
Eeedris abdulkareem you are a freedom fighter ,a social crusader Africa is blessed to have you ,kudos brother

You're not alone. I am impressed. I moves.
Edris is one of the only Nigeria Artist that speaks his mind and do his own thing without fear or favor! Baba na baba.
Only an intelligent person can decode this interview. Others will be commenting nonsense...I stand with you Man!

There are very few that i believe have the real heart to fight for the good of Nigeria regardless of its consequences and Eedris is one of them.
