For reals it’s not right at all I am one of the few persons that take my men as brothers and i sometimes when I travel I tell my girl to go hang out with my friends and tomorrow if I break up with her and she goes to date one of my guys don’t you think I would have the thoughts that they might have been doing something shady behind me common now.
There is nothing wrong with dating your ex's best friend.
But in some cases, it's not recommended to do it.
Let's discuss two most common situations.
1. At some point, you may want to date your ex-boyfriend just to make your ex feel bad/guilty/jealous. In this scenario, I do not recommend to start a relationship, because you can ruin the friendship and very likely you won't enjoy this relationship as well. This is kinda a wicked cycle where everyone is worse off.
2. On the other hand, you may have some deep feelings to your ex's best friend. If you both feel the same, you should take the risk and get together. If you really feel that this is the right person whom you want to date, both of you should discuss how you're gonna inform your ex about the new change with lowest cost or pain.
3. In the best case scenario, you may stay friends with your ex and transform old feelings of love into great friendship. However, I do recommend to keep the distance and do not mislead anyone.
Clarity in the relationship is crucial, you can date the one you want, as long as the feelings are mutual, and you both enjoy yourselves💯.
