I've been sim racing for a few years now and I still feel like a beginner, it's such a deep hobby. I've read so many books and studied so many videos on RUclips. I love the depth, but it's got quite a learning curve. Thanks for such a good video Jardier! You always manage to show how FUN sim racing is! :)
@@malvin3421 it takes time to build. I upgraded last year to @Fanatec CSL Elite wheel base with Inverted Pedals & BMW GT Wheel. But only b/c I downloaded bad drivers onto the Logitech wheel & it stopped working.
For what it's worth I just took 13 seconds off my lap times from the default settings by following your recommendations and plan on getting faster. They don't match you settings but I followed your thoughts and here it is... You may not be a teacher, and yes, you jump around a bit but you present the information from a driver's feel basis and not what is theoretical with the settings. Your descriptions of feel is what put me on track to my own settings. All the best!
I am fairly new with ACC, 3 weeks on a wheel and racing merc gt4, vantage gt4 and merc gt3. Subbed now and will start watching the back catalogue to learn more :-). It's an addictive game. I so hope they continue support and context (even content beyond British Gt pack - because this game blows all other gt simulation attempts out of the water I feel). (edit: I played on a controller before, and managed to be pretty ok on 90% AI, but wasn't as consistent. Because I loved the game so much, I just went and bought a rig & wheel. Went for a Formula Carbon V2)

Okay. I played this on console for the first time yesterday. I loved it, but despite being a bit of a sim fan I needed some more help getting used to the intricacies of Assetto Corsa. I started a career and got no guide on how to make a pit stop or what all the displays in the cockpit or HUD were showing. It’s a little thrown straight in the deep end! My hot tip, practice pit entry and making a pit stop work before a real race!
I started to play games like Forza Motorsport, then I moved to Project Cars 1, on the Xbox, playing with controller. Then AC came out and I decided to buy a wheel. I bought the G920 and I have it for 3 years! My next purchase will be a gaming PC and then something comfortable to seat, but I don't know when I'm getting those things. For now, I'm having fun with what the consoles can offer me and with my kitchen chair!
Thanks for the awesome info and video! The word you were working hard to get to is "configurability", this is when you can change part and pieces in and out. :) Your English is great btw!
ACC on Controller takes a bit of practice and some adjustments and fine tuning to the settings, but once you figure it out it really does feel great even on a controller! I have been racing on an Xbox One controller for over a year and love it. Saving for a wheel though :)
Still can't believe that we got like the same Sim Racing gear combination. :D December 2019 I upgraded from my G29 + Wheel Stand to a Fanatec CSW 2.5, CSL Elite P1, Formula V2, CSL Elite Pedals LC and everything attached to a GT Omega ART Cockpit with XL RS Seat. :'D I even remember using your code for my GT Omega stuff. :D (Also bought the floor mat and single monitor stand for my 35" screen). Keep it up, buddy. :)

Greetings from Malaysia! I am a new simracer, like many others, came into this hobby during the lockdown and I think I will definitely stay in it for the long haul. Played Rally and AC on PS4 with a controller, then moved on to G29, got a Rig and now 1.5 months later, I have a TM300RS and a host of Thrustmaster ecosystem. I wanted to go with Fanatec, but they wouldn't ship to my country for whatever reason and their support is horrendous when it comes to replying emails. I have loved your videos very much Jardier and I especially liked the one where you were chasing your friend for 2 hours trying to pass him. You had my attention and I am subscribed.

Yes. Started out trying all the cars and got frustrated. Finally got in the Ferrari and I have it pretty wired now. Aggressive set up is pretty good as long as tire pressure is within range (27.5-28) and will give you good results in a race.
Great video mate and your English is fine. Keep them coming 👍. Recently built my first PC and bought this. I’m playing with an Xbox pad. It’s not easy but it’s very rewarding if you put the effort in. I’m loving it. My favourite car by far is the Porsche, using the aggressive setup. It turns in really nicely and has great punch out of the corners.

Real car seat from the auto Wreckers is best way , I got pt cruiser seat for $50 , and bolted onto my rig (Home made)...also newer players turn off points if you want to jump straight in and race full grid on Bathurst or other hard circuits ,I learnt the hard way if you spin out up the mountain(the ESSES) every bloody Ai car will plough into you causing Massive OBWP spike!.....👍

With the safety rating you get put down with the lowest and then they crash into you
Question from newbie traveler: Is there a sim driver that teaches you how to drive on the left hand side of the road with the different road signs for different countries. I never drive when I travel because driving on the left side is dangerous to everybody if I do it now.
switching from a t300 to a dd1 and cs pedals feels like starting over again so i guess i'll watch this lmao
this way amazingly help full :)
