Great video - can we have a summary of the other meds as well please - such as Lisdexamfetamine (apparently second line stimulant, and the two non-stimulants of choice in the UK - are they Atomoxetine and Dexamfetamine? - thanks so much - my son not responding to Methylphenidate so would be good to understand the four main ones - pros and cons - thanks so much

These are brilliant, thank you, I work for a Youth Offending Team and these will be very useful for our families. I have heard about anti depressants being useful if stimulants aren't appropriate, could you cover this? Also differences in the presentation in girls and women?

Elvanse 60mg is great 80% of the time, my problem is the moodiness from it in the afternoon

Another great & informative video :) Thanks :)
I feel like i've done a full round of guinea pigging with all of them and back to the start again still unclear! Tried elvanse, methylphenidate, strattera, guanfacine, then back to elvanse which i've been taking about 2 years and now I'm trying methylphenidate again! As I'm not sure really if elvanse has made my impulsivity so far the other way that I now over-analyse everything, zero spontaneity/ decisiveness, increased anxiety hugely, killed sense of humour, killed fun, killed personality almost. Albeit it does have it's positives of course. But i'm thinking it perhaps makes my T-rex brain even more t-rex, but I just stuck with it, as it seemed better than nothing! But lately I have had an increase in tics to the point it makes me very uncomfortable, so I thought I should try methylphenidate again. Will give it a go again anyway! Actually this is the 3rd time i've tried it! Hells Bells! (But i do almost feel like you need a bit of experience of taking them all to understand what's what & to be able to better assess yourself. As at first you haven't got a clue anyway really or dont have anything to compare to!) :)

Hi Joanne. It's certainly not easy... sometimes it's worth sticking with things for longer than you might expect!
