Thanks for showing how well it worked in a real world lawn. I have a big lawn, my ride on mower uses about 15L of gas and over half a day to cut so something like this is starting to make sense.
It will slow down to a crawl, even if it did go over his tail. the wheels with first run over the tail before the blades cut it. and the dog has time to jump up out of the way. worst case scenario, it could cut the tail, but it couldnt cut it off. wouldnt have the power. Plus the blades are inside a metal frame that would also push the tail down and way from the blades.
Honestly the range of this mower is huge, the end of the park was over 100mtr away from the rtk antena, which i had mounted behind a metal roof shed and under a tree, and this wasn't even pushing it. In a clear area with no obstructions the range can be up to 5km. But my location wouldn't get the 5km range id say up to 1km for myself.
@deandohertygreaser that's very impressive alright. Iv ordered the 3000 for my own place. Planning to put the rtk and base round the back of the house. Iv about 1000sqm to cut but was worried the rtk might be weak being at the back of the property.
Damn, I always thought that my back garden is outside of the capabilities of autonomous mowers (at places it looks exactly like your access road), but I was apparently wrong. I would seriously consider this if I didn't have two additional problems - pine cones and mole hills.
@@deandohertygreaser Yeah, no way. And only some of the fresh ones have steep slopes. This thing could easily climb on top of 80% of them with this 4-wheel drive.
Interesting. Must admit I like the way the perimeters can be set from a phone rather than installing boundary sensors. I work for screwfix and have got all my colleagues hooked on your channel Dean. We thought the tools we sent off for repair were completed by elves like the shoemaker. It’s far more magical watching you fix them if you don’t mind me saying 👍
@@deandohertygreaser I own and use a clapped out flymow. It has an integral basket to collect the grass cuttings. It is loud, vibrates and is a bit of a bugger to handle. Yet despite this I use it. It cuts the grass. When the bucket is full, I take it out and empty it. It is a drag, but cutting the rough expanse of green that I hesitate to call a lawn, it works. I really don't need wireless connectivity to tell me were to aim the bloody thing. Gosh its hard work, especially if the grass is wet, but, y'know we manage. Afterwards I always need to use the cheepo Titan Strimmer to tidy up the edges. I don't need an app to do this either. When using the Luba, how much grass did the device collect? Or did you have to rake it up after? Did the robotic mower cut close to the edge of the lawn to alleviate the need for strimming? Did you really need an app controlled "intelligent" mower to cut what looks like a very symetrical and already close cut lawn? I thought in Ireland it rains a lot and the grass grows super quick. Here in the Pennines my so called lawn needs battering into submission. This devices looks like a toy, and will probably last as long as one. Sorry, I love your content, love to watch you repair real tools. This was not a real tool and why you were extolling its virtues prompted my comment.
I have one of these, albeit the 1000 model with a smaller battery. It's great - exactly what I need for my 400m2 lawn which is split into 4 sections on different levels. I set a schedule for Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and my lawn stays mowed. The mower goes in straight lines then +45 decrees and -45 degrees on subsequent days so I get lines in different directions and evenly cut grass. The mower saves my back and allows me to do the rest of the gardening or just enjoy myself. Sure it's not cheap but I'm over the fancy cars and getting leathered on a night out at vast cost. I would recommend.
@@charleswheatcroft What happens to the cut grass? Does it take it over to the compost bin and empty it in. If it stores the cuttings, where and what is the capacity? @@stefanbadass5357the clippings stay on the lawn like with all other robot mowers. My lawn is bumpy enough that a rotary mower can cope but not a cylinder mower. I don't recall seeing robot lawnmowers in archive footage of the Somme so i suggest you avoid robot mowers or invest in some levelling sand and a lawn lute.

Looks like a sturdy machine , please do a update at the end of summer . Thanks for the videos
Will do!
The dog poo comment made me laugh so much 😂 love the honesty Dean
We're all thinking it.
😂😂 Your Dog almost jumped as high as a cat.
Looks a beast, if it went over that rough terrain once a week it will soon sort the area out . if it had a roller id be tempted. Great review Dean
That looks brilliant. Reckon if that bigger bit of grass was raked off just once, it would do a really good job next cut. Good bit of kit.👍🏻
Amazing how we have public access to freaking machines of the future
That's what I keep thinking
Nice..I need one....comes in handy
Wow what a machine cuts really good 👍
i was amazed at how well this can cut.
I'm curious how the collision avoidance will manage a sleeping dog's tail. That's my one concern as our animals get older.

@@deandohertygreaserI think you should set the avoidance mode as less touch mode or no touch mode
Best review I have seen thanks!
Wow, thanks!
I wanna see people doing time trail runs with these bad boys
Nice one, and no fear of addressing the shite 😂
very cool. love the videos
Cool review, would have been nice to see the actual motor.
There is a lot of motors in this thing. Each wheel is a whole brushless motor.
Did you have all that range out to the park in front from the tower stand rtk at the charging dock?! How many meters you think that was?

cannot see the blades staying sharp for to long if its eating dirt from mole hills,

Nice machine compaired to my Worx.
What about security if some punk runs off with it?
Can you track it?
Yes. If you insert a 4G sim card into it
Still have to rake the grass though ?
no, if cut every 2 or 3 days, there is nothing to rake up.

dog is just waiting for a hair cut
Dog poo mincer 😁 That would be messy if it did mow up some dog plop. (edit) should have known you would cover it in the video and you did lol.
You should set it in no touch mode to protect your dog
I tried, but the dumb shite keep getting in the way causing the mower to keep changing
@@deandohertygreaser hahaha
Mind the Metropolis movie. These robots are soon going to take charge and supress humanity.
Until someone turns the Wi-Fi off
Chinese government will be watching everyone's lawns 😂 Looks a nice machine to be fair
Poor doggie 🥹
Sams fine.
Naw. I'll wait until you get back in the shop.
I think these things are still very much a gimmick in my opinion
That's what I thought a few years ago. But they are really coming on now. They do a fantastic job now
How much 3 grand 😂
same as a small ride on, but you never have to cut or empty the grass again. 😉
What a shame they are still using polystyrene to pack the mower. Cardboard is much more recyclable.
Total BS, the shill is strong in this one
can you explain how its BS exactly. or do you just like to drop BS comments with nothing to back it up.
