I've had the Luba 1 for 2 years. Been an amazing experience. I would buy another one tomorrow if it was stolen.... I have a big garden with trees and tall hedges. Amazing bit of kit.
I bought the Luba 2H 5,000 in the fall of 2024. I live in Kentucky, USA. My lawn has very steep areas that the Luba 2 mows without any issues. I no longer having to pay to have my lawn mowed. That savings will pay for the cost of the mower.
thank you for using the robo mowers for what its designed for. iv seen many reviews where they start using it on long untidy grass / lawn. the robo mowers are to maintain the lawn as prepared with a neat lawn cut with normal mower and robo mower take over to keep it neat
@@slaglejms It's not officially through them. However, you can remove the top cover rather easily. The battery looks like it is just several 18650 cells. Either you can solder them yourself or send them to a battery rebuilder (batteries plus)
Hi James + Josh, Great review on the Luba amazing bit of kit, let it cut the grass while you have a nice cold drink, the joys of cutting grass. Great video Take care
Yes, but keep in mind that the LUBA 2 models have a limitation. If your lawn is larger than 1,000 m², you can only map up to that limit, meaning you'll need a model with a higher capacity to cover the entire area if the lawn is bigger.
Very interested in getting a robotic mower for my orchard. Seteraia grass, look it up, needs to be kept under control. Maybe one day I’ll get a robotic mower, perhaps a Luba 8.
Unless I’ve missed it, I’ve seen no mention of the fact that the clippings remain on the lawn. Requires frequent cutting to avoid long grass clippings choking out airflow to the soil. Like every week, if not more. What are users experiencing this way?
@@davewulff9236 they can cut every day or every other so you don’t see any of the clippings and the ground can handle and absorb this. Same with all robot mowers 👍🏼
I almost bought one this Summer. After watching the Facebook groups and seeing all the problems and the absolute horrible customer service, I’m soooo glad I didn’t get one, Luba to be specific.
Same here. I am overjoyed that I waited and held off until the Navimow X3 now comes this spring. Already pre-ordered one. I would not want to ever risk buying a Mammotion product.
@ What's so strange about it? I have been researching robot mower brands for nearly 1.5 years now, and I've come to the conclusion that I don't want to buy any products from Mammotion. Also, I've never owned a Renault car before, and I never wish to buy one either.
I did find if there are water spots on the camera and it is mowing into the sun it will go around objects that aren’t there. Clean the camera and it’s all good.
It would be nice to be able to edit the map on your phone by moving lines rather than have to remap the entire area. Editing the map on the phone would enable fine tuning to get things just right over time.
You don’t have to reprogram the whole zone. You can drive it to the spot in question and edit just part of the perimeter. It works great. Plus remember even with a conventional mower you still need to trim.
Not a comparison video at all. It’s obviously a paid review. When your had a Luba for a while you will understand why it’s far less money than the competitors. Also Lube have a distribution NOT a Luba owned franchise in the UK. Why? Because they are out of their depth. The quality is not on par with any others mentioned in this video. Luba is Domesticated and the others are for Commercial users as well as domestic.
The robotic mower industry is exploding with a new entry every few months. It looks like they have a way to go. I'd like to see an annual review like this as they refine and debug these units.
The Kress has a detachable mapping capability that is good, but not worth an extra 800eu. I have a Goat G1 that is awful. The G1 mapping software is pre-beta (a critical failure). The G1 gets lost all the time. Rain appears to dramatically effect navigation. Buy the Luba.
They all go back and charge themselves when they need charging, then start mowing automatically once they are charged. so run and charge times are not important.
This is what puts me off robot mowers more than anything. I try to clear up after my dog but I can’t guarantee fox, deer or dog poo is removed every day
I used to think these little buggers would take my job! In my experience, they most definitely do not! I have a client with one of these, and I still mowe the lawn 90% of the time! It can't cope with leafs, beach nuts, or apples at all! No replacement for a decent and flexible gardener!!
Disapoited. i thought it would be a real comparison insted i got 16min luba preais and hale sponsored vidio. anyway, this machin isn't robust enough and u gentelmen should see it.
While traditional mowers like Masport can last a long time, they require manual operation and regular maintenance. LUBA, on the other hand, offers a fully autonomous mowing experience, saving you time and effort.

What height grass will it cut?

Luba 2 is just fantastic. Never had a problem and cuts perfectly everytime.
I love how the luba actually cuts grass especially fairly long grass and doesn’t require a standard mower to cut the grass before installation
U had me sold until warranty. Looks like a great product but u would think the company would stand behind it better. Great video.
Plus u can’t change out the battery. So it’s a throw away once the battery is done.
@@brianbrink1421 You can definitely change the battery. I'm 2 years in and I have zero noticeable degradation.

It’s worth noting that the 1000 is a fair bit cheaper if you have a smaller lawn. Looks interesting - and I’m getting old so I may consider one 😁

@ Yes :) when you are mapping the area,
@ damn! Well, they’ve lost me then.
@ Sad to hear. I work at a company in Sweden and we have sold alot of them in january at low season so they are very popular.

How would the these do on a raised lawn with a kerb that drops off around the perimeter

This will be very different now that Mower Magic are distributing them in the U.K.

Very nice made a great job, did it cut the hole section in one charge 🤔👍
Does the Luba return to its charging station when its battery runs low? Anode will it resume the job where it left off after charging?

Seems more like a paid infomercial for Luba than a unbiased evaluation of all 5 models.
Yes as disclosed. Which bit was unbiased though please?
If I was forced to chose a robotic mower, it would be this. 100%.

Would have been interesting to give the charge and run times

Does it avoid dog poo? 😅

Thanks but that something I knew, I would like to know something I didnt.
The new models for 2025 now have 3 year warrenty and with more mower blades and other stuff
I STILL THINK THE AEROSPACE STR-7000 IS THE BEST ROBO MOWER OUT THERE.

Luber $3350
Masport mower on Market place $60
Guaranty that Luber will be in the bin in less than ten years and my masport will still be going strong.

I like mowing my lawn so ill never get one
It is a shame mammotion has these ugly designs
Priced for the fancy boys, ill stick to my petrol mower, £20 a year on fuel, that would give me 127 years worth of cutting for the price of a Luba
