- When we made a visit to Fostoria, OH to sit down with Callies President Heath Norton, Sales Manager Brook Piper and engine builder Billy Briggs of Billy Briggs Racing Engines, of course we talked about crankshafts.
(See that video here: • A Deep Dive on Cranksh... )
But, we also had to talk about the ins, the outs and the latest on connecting rods, and what Callies has been doing to push that engine component forward.

Modern Alloys have put more time between catastrophic engine failures. Replaced a set of ARP 2000's five years ago & they were $242.00 from S*mm*t, not cheap but just pulled the BBC down with everything intact. Wish these guys would have gotten into Torque Angle vs. Torque Wrench methods of torquing the bolts for perfect stretch. I suspect manufactures are using torque angle gauges when torquing for final bore sizing. I use a rod stretch gauge when my rods are un-torqued for the first time, stretch is always ultra consistent.
I enjoyed the heck out of this.
Awesome to hear! Thanks for watching.
Have Callies rotatating assembly in my 427 Twin Turbo Dart Block!
Callies is The Best Company . USA 🇺🇸 TRUMP
Boost bends rods too I see that more then hydraulicing
🔥
I wouldn’t buy products from these pompous fools talking down on the paying customer
What did they say that you do not agree with?
These guys are absolutely correct. I'd buy from guys like this
I do not know what hurt the OP's feelings.
He obviously never built engines for racing.
Must've not listened to their advice and limitations of the their products.
