- Time for the fifth episode of MY MONTH WITH... and in May I spent the month reading some more work by Eric LaRocca.
Having been really impressed by 'Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke', I wanted to dive into some more darkness from LaRocca. And these didn't disappoint!

I’ve not read any Larocca yet but he certainly has great titles!
He really does! They're often a line from the story, and they do invite intrigue. All his stories are an interesting experience, whether I end up liking them or not!
Listening to this while driving, I was suddenly convinced a stray cat had jumped into my back seat! 😸Not sure I'm convinced either way on Larocca quite yet.
Lol, I'm assuming you were incorrect, and you're not the proud new owner of a stray moggy! To be honest, I wasn't sure that LaRocca would be your sort of thing. Not entirely sure why, something about the 'contemporary' voice that I think you might find irritating! But you're an unpredictable puzzle, so I could be completely wrong 😉

I read I Have No Mouth… during Horror MAYhem and I think I’m going to have to reserve judgment. I think he did what he set out to do and the writing was good. Just not sure whether I enjoyed it. Perhaps, like you, I should read more. He really does have a warped little mind 😂
He definitely has a warped mind 😂But I do like the fact he puts all these dark ideas out there! Even if I don't like the execution of a particular story, I can't help but be intrigued by his imagination. He never scares me, but can always get under my skin with his stuff, and that's quite a feat. Will definitely keep reading more, but with the knowledge that not everything will land for me - sometimes he misses big time!
