I don’t think this was developed for “professional” use, but for use smartphone vlogging and what not. There is always going to be something better and every product has its use. For a someone who wants to get started using external wireless audio, this is a great product if you don’t have a high budget. And as you grow you will appreciate the bells and whistles of a more advanced wireless mic system.
I have this for my vlog, and it's fine for what I need. I agree that the noise reduction sucks. It is too aggressive even on the weak setting. I just do it in post anyway.
Good points. Im_really_ liked the internal recording and external mics, but am super-bummed about the lack of stereo separation. I guess using the two cards would be an OK workaround for times I need it, just laying in the two separate audio tracks in post. Kind of a PITA though. (Also a bit disappointed that there isn’t more low-end on the audio :-) I need a cheap wireless mic system with small transmitters, hard decision :-/
Hello, congratulations on the excellent video! I'm thinking about buying it! I was wondering if the receiver can receive audio in stereo when using both mics simultaneously. I couldn't find this information in the Hohem specifications. However, an alternative manual states that if you press the Ch1 (Receiver) button for 3 seconds, the receiver's LEDs will change color and the audio will be received in stereo (individual tracks for each mic). Is it possible to do this test and tell us the result?
I don't recommend the hohem MIC-01, I've returned mine. There are much better mics on the market from Hollyland, DJI, Rode, Comica, and Sennheiser. But if you insist on getting the hohem, they do not transmit stereo, only mono, but if you use 2 mono mics at the same time, I suppose you can get a stereo effect if both mics are placed in a specific orientation.

@@VideoGizmology Thanks for the help
Yeah I bought these and they are not good at all. Noise cancellation doesn’t work and it doesn’t sound better than my iPhone mic at all
Guess if I plug in a lav it won’t change the fact the mic isn’t good 😅
