I bought the same paddle from Alibaba. I have the one with the green edge guard which was marketed as a Magnus clone and the pictire showed a paddle with partial Joola graphics. Re eived the same blank black and was slightly disappointed. However, after playing with it for about 3 weeks now, 6 days a week for about 60 hours total, I LOVE this paddle. My paddle progression over the last 4 montjs has been from a Joola Perseus Gen 2 to a Gearbox Pro Power Elongated to this. Believe it or not, this is my favorite. I felt the Perseus didnt have the power i wanted, the Gearbox had too much (great groundstrokes and NVZ play, but after a month, i stipl couldnt keep my serves in), and this one is a great compromise between those 2. Definitely more power than the Perseus, but not as much as the Gearbox, and more control than both. I find i have tremendous, controllable power on groundstrokes, great pop at the NVZ, and exceptional spin which allows me to consistently hit the best serves ive ever hit. I get great topspin on my serves and can consistently keep them within the deepest part of the box 1 - 3 feet from the baseline. Im thrilled with the purchase and very glad their minimum purchase was 2 units so now i have an extra one. Btw, im about a 3.9 player. Sorry tjis was so long, but i thought it would be helpful for anyone considering buying one. I highly recommend! Still would live to see one cut open though.

you shouldn't get used to the Gen3, it's basically cheating. Most pros don't even like it and you have an immediate advantage over everyone else on the court. If you're 3.9 with the paddle, you're probably more like 3.5 without it

Why didn’t you cut open one of the clones to see if the design corresponds to the Joolas? I’m so doing, you would’ve bolstered your credibility by quite a bit; after all, you’re giving us subjective impressions versus objective dimensions.

I ordered a Jikego Kevlar carbon fiber mix paddle off Aliexpress a few months ago and improved my game significantly over the Joola Gen 1 I was using. I love it; Decided to order a Gen 3 clone off of Alibaba (not the same company hoping to get a design on the paddle as these look terrible in the video. ). Good luck

I also ordered the same paddles from the same vendor and my experience is similar. I also own a real Gen 3 and they feel like regular previous Gen paddles. The vendor however contends that it is a Gen 3 core -- to the point where they said if you cut it open and it isn't, they would refund 100%.

theyre the same paddles from the same factory right? if not im guessing theyre made using the same process? there is no chance that a plastic honey comb + layer of carbon fiber is worth over $5 let alone $300

@@ShrimpCracka I'm not sure about that to be honest. like I said the paddles don't feel the same at all.

Good to know! I tried the clone for about an hour and it seemed to be roughly the same power levels whereas the real gen 3 was powerful immediately. I’ll keep trying to “break in” the clones.

The Kevlar doesn’t make that much of a difference. It’s basically just a Gen 2 paddle that the Kevlar gives a plusher feel too. Power and pop are the same.
