Definitely please re-do this with the thermaformed paddle and possibly w/ comparison w/ the Hyperion please! Would love to see if it's actually a viable cheap alternative or just a knockoff/scam.
Yeah, Juciao makes a bunch of Gen 1 paddles. I own 3 of them. They are great values and play well. I own 1 Gen2 paddle from them too. It's very poppy and difficult to control like most Gen2 paddles. It costed about $55 which is still a great value. However, my daily driver is a Vatic Prism Flash 16mm. It's much better than the Jucioa paddles and was still a very reasonable $90. It's also USAPA approved. Very interesting video and I'm interested in seeing the Gen2 dissected. I also am interested in seeing the guts of the Luxx. A couple of my friends love their Luxx paddles.
The original Hyperion has a similar shape and grip, but the handle is actually a molded handle on the Joola (one of the first RCF paddles to use a molded Octagonal handle). Take the grip off of a Hyperion CFS and you'll see it. This paddle uses the OG sandwich paddle construction technique.
It would be nice to redo it with the new Juciao Spin 1.0 paddle. It is supposed to be a Gen2 paddle and USAPA approved (It is showing on USAPA approved list)
I have this paddle and it is pretty good - I was pretty happy with it but itching to try a thermoformed one. The model that you are thinking about that is a Joola clone is the Amasport Kronos. It is more pricey but from everything I have hear an EXACT copy of the Joola, and that one is approved for tournament use. It is my main one now and I'm really enjoying it. I keep the Juciao as a backup/loaner.
Juqiao is now making this thermoformed one, and there is also a USAPA Approved Thermoforming Unibody Foam Build Edging Raw Carbon Fiber Rough Surface Pickleball Paddle,Only $39.9
Any paddle that is labeled "unibody construction" will not have the wood in the handle. The thermoforming process will extend through the handle on gen 2, making them much stronger.
Do you know what Thermoforming is? Do you know the difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2 Thermoforming? I actually love these videos you are doing but do some research on paddle construction and manufacturing. I own this paddle but have left it behind for Gen 2 Thermoformed Paddle. Pulled it out and hit it the other day and was surprised how well it actually hit. But I won't be going back to it.
Hey Ed,We Have USAPA Approved Thermoforming Unibody Foam Build Edging Raw Carbon Fiber Rough Surface Pickleball Paddle,I can send it to you for testing if you need it.

FYI: the wood that's seen on the handle is balsa wood it's used because it is very light weight and easy to form. This is commonly used on handles.

I’d love to see more cheap knock off paddles.
For 40 bucks, it's an amazing paddle! I love both of mine.
would love to see a re-do with the thermoformed paddles like the accurate paddle or accurate-x!
Said it on your insta, but you cutting the 006 continues to hurts me deeply 😂 Glad Steve got one! I'm still saving lol
It is a good paddle. I preferred it over the Vatic Prism that I tried briefly.
And remember, the Vatic is also a sandwich construction gen 1. Excellent paddle too but usually about 90 bucks.

hey Ed, the Juciao paddle you cut up here is not the thermoform one,you got the wrong one

@@JUCIAOPickleballPaddle the handle is too short for me at 5.1 inches as I have a two handed backhand.
@@klatch29 We have pickleball paddles with handles from 5.7" to 5.9" that may be more suitable for you
@@JUCIAOPickleballPaddle thermoformed?
@@klatch29 Currently, the longest handle of thermoformed products is 5.5 inches. We will add thermoformed long handle products in the future.
Been using the exact paddle for 6 months. My game has upgraded a lot. A good paddle for the price.
Don't they use that type of handle pretty much on all paddles especially that type of wood?

The thermoformed Juciao is the one worth cutting into. I’ll watch that video
Can you cut up a Volair Mach2 Forza, or link me to it if you already did that one. Thanks 🙏
Can you review Winpick Paddles
HI. Ever considered Zane's ProXR? Lots of questions if thermoformed and the core. I think it would be interesting.

Please do the thermoformed
Ummm can I play with it before you cut-the Luxx? Just thought I would ask
I didn't buy it to resell, I bought it kislux to own and wear. And to be honest, they look so similar, I'd rather buy a fake kislux .
Cut a Joola and the thermoformed Juciao - they might be the same!
6 months.. Lol did you ever do an update to fancier paddle?
The word u are looking for is unibody.. Not thermoformed when u can easily break the handle from the face

Yes, please do this! We’re all curious about your new thermoformed Juciao paddle!
lol it’s more dangerous to wear gloves with saws. Don’t wear them. The fabric can get caught in the blade and pull your entire hand in it
i really want to see joola honestly
