You should see their live performances where they have a drummer... the performance in Arena Di Verona literally rocks... they come from Croatia 🇭🇷 as well as Maksim Mrvica -pianist-who is considered to have the fastest hands...and definitely one of the best pianists in the world if not the best...he doesn't have as many views as 2CELLOS...but literally all his concerts are full ...It's something special.... listen to his performance at the Mercedes Benz Hall in Shanghai....Performed by Pirates of the Caribbean...
I showed this to my dad (born 1952, who loves classic rock) without telling him what it is. I must have looked like a Cheshire cat, grinning from ear to ear. As expected, he absolutely loved it and was amazed with the incredible talent. I wish I had recorded his reaction, he was blown away.
I was born in 1952 also. Just stumbled across them a few months ago. Your dad might also enjoy a lot of their other covers. Good on you for finding something new to show him.
I love the sound of a cello. These two are masters at the cello. The music is awesome in the video but what really cracks me up is the end where the audience is staring at them like they are bat shit crazy. LOL I giggle every time I see it.
They are brilliant musicians, brilliant performers, and also have wicked senses of humour. Was very fortunate to see them in concert several years ago. Not often you see people dancing in the isles to two guys playing cello.
I was in the Marines around the time this video came out and was doing security for concerts as a side job. I remember they opened for one of the bands and we all had the same reaction of who the heck are these guys. We were all shocked and awed by the end 🤙🏼
If you are into this, in the late 90s started the cello quartet Apocalyptica with Metallica cover songs. There are some great videos on RUclips. Nothing Else Matters is a good starting point from their debut album but it is all very well done.
These 2 gorgeous young men are from Croatia and used to compete against each other until they joined forces and took the world by storm with their covers of rock and pop as well as the classical music the Cello is known for.. I'm in no way shape or form a musician or expert, but I think the distortion might come from the vibration from "hitting" the Cello with the bow so forcefully.. I hate to think how many bows are damaged and restrung because of a session with these guys.... I saw them on RUclips for the first time because of this cover, but my absolute favourite of their metal covers is the Trooper Overture, (Iron Maiden).. Other "metal" videos they've done are Dream on and Walk this way with Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) Highway to Hell with Steve Vai, (Whitesnake), Sounds like Teen Spirit (Nirvana) & Enter Sandman (Metallica). . Welcome to the jungle (Guns n Roses) Livin on a prayer (Bon Jovi) .They have toured with golden oldie Singer Songwriter Elton John... Appeared at practically every well known venue in the world.... They are just phenomenal They have made the world of rock and pop look again at the classical instrument...Since the duo disbanded they have different lifestyles. I know Sjepan has a solo tour called Rebel with a Cello...
To be exact, they come from Croatia and Slovenia. Stjepan Hauser is a true Croatian, Luka Šulić is born and raised in Slovenia to a Croatian father and Slovenian mother, so he comes from Slovenia. One most important thing they really have in common: they are incredible musicians with tons of energy.
Their bows are all frayed and ragged at the end. Like it inspires me to learn the cello now that I know what it’s capable of and not just Yo-Yo Ma classical
I have yet to see a reactor pause and discuss how like the 5 kids in the audience are all smiles and loving it and the adults aren't pleased with their joy as they are stunned. haha
These guys were EPIC to see live, had the opportunity to see them live last year at their 3rd last concert (Perth Arena, Western Australia) and it was worth the effort, imagine this 6 minute video, but 90 minutes non-stop, going through a heap of different styles of music and all.
Finally! 2Cellos There is much to learn about these early childhood protégé’s. They play many ‘covers’ from across the genre spectrum. “With or Without You”, “Cryin’”, too many to list. I find you and Ali my favorites to ‘reaction’ videos. Please keep 2Cellos at the top of your list; you will find yourselves transported by their music! Nothing like 2Cellos!!
Saw them live in London about 6 years ago. What a concert that was. Just an incredible mix of rock and classical and film stuff. They had a terrific drummer too. Amazing.
Such outstanding cellists! World class at both classical and rock. They are also amazing at musical arrangement. They have exposed the world to the potential of cello as a modern instrument. If you liked this, watch their renditions of The Trooper, Smooth Criminal, and Where The Streets Have No Name. I've seen them live. A truly fun concert!
I love that you are so open and appreciative of such a wide range of music styles: Eddie Van Halen, Home Free, and maniacs like these guys. So much fun. Keep it up.
Sir Elton John also noticed this video and soon invited them to participate. I think they were part of his tours for a year or two, and then they wanted to go on their way; and they did. One of them is from my country, Slovenia, the other is from neighboring Croatia.
FWIW..... IMO Classical music was that era's pop /rock music . This was not written by a classical master of course but, some classical is just as wild Personally I have always been into classic rock and classical music. BTW.. How they got the distortion was asked.. I hope you do understand that the cellos were electrically amplified either via a mic or pick up
My wife and and I went and watched them live in Colorado at Redrocks. They are even more energetic live and the sound at Redrocks was amazing! True talent and I would go and watch them anytime they are around my area! You have just got a taste of them but they have so many amazing covers and are every bit as amazing live!
First, enjoyed your reaction as you obviously enjoyed it and had fun with it. It's really hard not to have fun with a 2Cellos song. Second, if you want to see cellos being used in another unusual way check out the band Apocalyptica...a Finnish metal band that got their start covering Metallica songs on cellos. I'll suggest the music video for their song "Path" as a good intro to the band.
Seen them a few times in concerts. They are great live. They would start of with some classical songs then some light covers and start to get more and more into rock covers. They would also bring out a drummer (who was fantastic as well). Their bows would get shredded really quick. Liked that fact that the audience would be a big range of fans, from kids to grandparents. I don't think they are tour together any longer though.
Their cover of Mumford & Sons "i Will Wait" is beautiful. The location is Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia, an absolutely stunning place full of waterfalls.
I was totally stunned and I'm a Rock-a-billy/punk/power pop/ prog/ metal/ oppera/ String Quartet/ Blue Grass fan. Check out "Radrigo and Gabrielle "Live in Japan" to see the greatness of this South American "Guitar Duo".
You are about to go down a really nice and rather interesting rabbit hole with these guys. You really need to check out more of their music and the videos.
I loved this reaction, this guys are amazing, i had the chance to see them live and there s no way back, i m glad you found them! love your reactions keep them coming
Truly brilliant indeed! I watch their performance from time to time. Not to put these two guys in the shadow, but there are more good covers of Thunderstruck out there. AC/DC might have created a Monster! Check out the Finnish band Steve'n'Seagulls cover of it. Pure Finnish sisu. :)
You can find some amazing RUclips videos with Hauser - the guy on the left - playing without his partner. He is just as amazing on his own. Look for "Benedictus". The first time I heard that piece I felt like I had heard what God must sound like.
Years ago, on the Ellen deGeneres show, Elton John raved about them. Try Tina Guo as well, she's done stuff with Han Zimmer ie Batman, Kung Fu Panda, LOTR and of course Wonder Woman
Both are classically trained and solo independently with major world symphonies. They met as teens and developed this wild style. The have had world tours as 2 Cellos providing financial security for themselves. Luka Sulic is married with a 4th child on the way. Stepjan Hauser is single.
There’s a video of Elton John on their website of Elton John talking about when a friend first showed him a video of them. He immediately said he wanted them for a opening act.
2Cellos often tell stories in their music videos: Smooth Criminal, They don't Care about Us; Show must go on; Trooper Overture, Highway to Hell, Whole Lotta Love and many more. Their cover of movie soundtracks in something to watch.
You need to down load some of their concerts. Their anniversary concert in Zagreb is outrageous. You need to see their drummer! Try their Pula Concert.
I got into these guys after going to see David Garret in concert. You need to check out his Vivaldi vs. Vertigo. There is another group called Bond that is great too. Love the twist on classical instruments.
They blew up the world with their version of Smooth Criminal 🔥 gotta check that out
May Naya Rivera rest in peace when they did Smooth Criminal with her in Glee ❤
Yeah. That's the one someone showed to Elton John.
Definitely especially when they guest starred on Glee
You should see their live performances where they have a drummer... the performance in Arena Di Verona literally rocks... they come from Croatia 🇭🇷 as well as Maksim Mrvica -pianist-who is considered to have the fastest hands...and definitely one of the best pianists in the world if not the best...he doesn't have as many views as 2CELLOS...but literally all his concerts are full ...It's something special.... listen to his performance at the Mercedes Benz Hall in Shanghai....Performed by Pirates of the Caribbean...

Probably the same reaction I had when I came across them.
LOL
I giggle every time I see it.
Yeah, sorta like inn "Back to the Future".
"Yeah, trust me, your great-grandkids will love it."
I want to be able to play like them… but it’s hard when everybody looks at you like your a fucking lunatic.
They are brilliant musicians, brilliant performers, and also have wicked senses of humour. Was very fortunate to see them in concert several years ago. Not often you see people dancing in the isles to two guys playing cello.
The talent of these guys is insane! You can't go wrong watching any of their videos
They are talented on a whole other level!!! Saw them live, 3rd row from the stage. One of the most amazing performances ever.
I was in the Marines around the time this video came out and was doing security for concerts as a side job. I remember they opened for one of the bands and we all had the same reaction of who the heck are these guys. We were all shocked and awed by the end 🤙🏼

God I love Apocalyptica!
The video of Apocalyptica doing One live with James Hetfield of Metallica is excellent.
Loved that cd
Love the early tracks!
Still listen to their first CD in my car! 😂

@@fifi23o5 I'm happy to be corrected. 😊
@@allisoncameron-dicker2737 No problem! The only thing that matters is that we all enjoy their music.
Oh no! I didn't realise they had disbanded. I was so looking forward to seeing them if they made their way down under again. 🙁😔
Their bows are all frayed and ragged at the end. Like it inspires me to learn the cello now that I know what it’s capable of and not just Yo-Yo Ma classical
I have yet to see a reactor pause and discuss how like the 5 kids in the audience are all smiles and loving it and the adults aren't pleased with their joy as they are stunned. haha
These guys are great. Dive down the rabbit hole.
Seen them live in Dallas and I have one word WOW
I would love love to see them live. I absolutely love them.
The way they seamlessly transition into the song is iconic.
THAT was a “boat load” of cello-fun! Thanks
These guys were EPIC to see live, had the opportunity to see them live last year at their 3rd last concert (Perth Arena, Western Australia) and it was worth the effort, imagine this 6 minute video, but 90 minutes non-stop, going through a heap of different styles of music and all.
I got the chance to see these guys play live in Calgary about a decade ago. It was one of the greatest concerts I've ever seen!
I have one of their cds and I like having it on in the background during the day.
saw them in concert at a winery in WA. BLEW US AWAY! Believe it or not, their concerts have more energy than what you see in the video
These guys are KILLER, Sebs! Welcome to their music!
These guys were originally rivals. Then they came together to blow our minds.
Their concert at Nîmes in France was so crazy. They are so talented
2CELLOS thanks you for passing them on to other viewers, as do I!
2Cellos is awesome! Them doing Thunderstruck is seriously awesome!!!
This is going down in history as best cello for non-cello audience eva!
I tripped over this one about 6 years ago! Peace, Love!!
Saw them live in London about 6 years ago. What a concert that was. Just an incredible mix of rock and classical and film stuff. They had a terrific drummer too. Amazing.
They blew my mind.
The one that is next level is the trooper. Thats just amazin.
You should see the video when they walk into a music store that is featuring Steve Vai and they just walk in and start playing.. It;s awesome
I saw them in person they are phenomenal. These guys are excellent at what they do.
Total DOPE! Cello is my favorite classical instrument and Rock is the soundtrack of my coming of age... Win-Win!
I’ve been listening to them for years. Always a pleasure with these two string magicians
There are whole show videos and its jaw dropping good.
The bows are shredded lol. This is awesome!!
Omg enjoy they’re incredible

Incredible, aren't they!!!!! The first time, you can't quite believe what you're hearing and then it's pure joy!
While listening to these guys my blood pressure went thru the roof.😵💫 Loved it.
I *adore* this version of this song, I also love how shredded their bow's are.

If you’re a fan of Cello, you should check out Apocalyptica. They’re Cellists and a drummer from Finland
They sure blew my mind when I first heard them

Omg I absolutely loooooove 2 Cello!! They are so so beautiful.
I was hoping you'd enjoy it. They have several great ones out there. 💯🔥
Their version of The Trooper is epic as well! Love these guys; they’re SO GOOD!
These guys are AWESOME!
48 seconds in. I am here for this. I just giggled. Seb: don’t know what I’m in for… cello is my favorite classical…. Me: hehehe
Ha ha ha they are not always nuts. Please listen to this you will love it. HAUSER - Benedictus (by Karl Jenkins) ❤
Seen them a few times in concerts. They are great live. They would start of with some classical songs then some light covers and start to get more and more into rock covers. I love these guys. They are awesome. They have done so many amazing covers.
check out the version(highway to hell) at guitar center where Steve Vai joins in on electric...awesome brother!
What a wild take on AC/DC classic! Love it!
I play bass but always loved the sound of the cello...I was definitely not expecting what these guys put out or what they can do with that thing 🔥
Absolutely love them.
These guys are AWESOME! You should check out Hauser as well.
Their cover of Mumford & Sons "i Will Wait" is beautiful. The location is Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia, an absolutely stunning place full of waterfalls.

They had a whole passel of songs, mostly rock, they do.
I saw these guys a couple of months ago, I think AC/DC would be proud !!
“I guess you guys aren’t ready for that yet. But your kids are gonna love it.”
check out their cover of Highway to Hell, another ACDC cover also features Steve Vai.
I loved this reaction, this guys are amazing, i had the chance to see them live and there s no way back, i m glad you found them! love your reactions keep them coming

I remember these guys from AGT. They were still kids. They did Purple Haze. It was awesome
First saw them on Facebook a few years ago. They amazing
These guys are crazy talented !
You can find some amazing RUclips videos with Hauser - the guy on the left - playing without his partner. He is just as amazing on his own. Look for "Benedictus". The first time I heard that piece I felt like I had heard what God must sound like.
2cellos live concert. They are amazing ❤
Years ago, on the Ellen deGeneres show, Elton John raved about them. Try Tina Guo as well, she's done stuff with Han Zimmer ie Batman, Kung Fu Panda, LOTR and of course Wonder Woman
The AC/DC original is electrifying...love this take of this classic as well..woo hoo!
the shocked expressions on the audience was priceless!
YES. Need to do more!
Both are classically trained and solo independently with major world symphonies. They met as teens and developed this wild style. The have had world tours as 2 Cellos providing financial security for themselves. Luka Sulic is married with a 4th child on the way. Stepjan Hauser is single.
"I can see you guys aren't ready for this yet. But trust us, your great, great, great grandkids are gonna love it."
Saw them at O2 in London. Absolutely incredible.
WOW, machines tuned on, Truly next level!!
I was at their last concert in Belgrade, they do this live :)
Another group to look at would be the piano guys, they were the gateway to these two for me 😊
There’s a video of Elton John on their website of Elton John talking about when a friend first showed him a video of them. He immediately said he wanted them for a opening act.
These guys are amazing and never get old.
I loved wa5ch8ng them play Back in Black with electrical cellos. I recommend that one too! ❤😊
Their music video reminds me of when Marty McFly rocks out at the dance, looks out, and everyone just staring at him.
Elton John saw their Smooth Criminal video and had them open for him for many shows. They then exploded and are a unique act that is a must-see...
They first appeared on America s got talent at about age 14 or so
They have never been on AGT!
Loce 2 cellos!!! If you want to hear another impressive performance you should check Kevin Show/Kevin's Fifth from Kevin Olusola of Pentatonix 🥰
I got into these guys after going to see David Garret in concert. You need to check out his Vivaldi vs. Vertigo. There is another group called Bond that is great too. Love the twist on classical instruments.
You should check out more of their stuff. " Smooth criminal" is wonderful. (and they're so pretty)
