• 2CELLOS - Thunderstruc...
For the first time on the channel, we are checking out 2CELLOS performing "Thunderstruck" and it is a wild ride! I have never seen cellos utilized in this way but I'm here for it! To take an instrument that is considered "classical" and to add some distortion and rock it up is genius! I cannot wait to hear more from this group and I hope you enjoy! #reaction #2cellos #thunderstruck #acdc #musicreactions

These dudes blew my mind!! I have never heard a cello played like this!! 🔥🔥
“ I guess you guys aren’t ready for it yet, but your kids are going to love it” -Marty McFly 😅
snap... I was just about to write this lol. :)
❤❤❤😂
These guys have a few really great videos I think you'll enjoy look forward to watching more. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the great work
Yes, it's really them playing (with a littl help from sampling) - there's a live concert version online, too. Their cover of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" is hot. And just to shine a light on their classical background, listen to "Mombasa", performed live at Suntory Hall in Tokyo. And any of their live concerts - these guys are rock stars 🔥I'm so glad you've added them to your list! Please continue down this rabbit hole ❤
Their cover of Highway to Hell with Steve Vai is one of the best followed by Iron Maiden the Trooper. They have a great rabbit hole to go down for sure.
I love these two guys. I live in the middle of Wyoming so I doubt it would ever happen, but I would love to go see these guys. They are a good group to dive into more of their covers.
2Cellos are fricking awesome. I saw them live and they are just as if not more energetic. You should check out the Smooth Criminal video and The Trooper Overture video. Great reaction. ❤️🤘✝️🌹
Thanks for the recommendations and I can’t wait to hear more from them! 😁
17 forks lol that made me properly laugh! Great reaction, love this performance :) They've done Iron Maiden's The Trooper too, that's worth a viewing
I love classical Cello music! AND I LOVE THIS TOO!! Discovered them years ago. Peace, Love!!
These guys are incredible I've seen this a few times and they make playing CELLOS cool
Been watching these guys for a while! They're awesome!
You need to react to everything these guys do. Two of my favorites are Smooth Criminal and The Trooper Overture.
Some of their live concert stuff is amazing too.
The British have an expression for the look on your face….Gobsmacked.
More 2Cellos. The Trooper, Highway To Hell, and some awesome classical tracks
I love that you checked these guys out. My wife and I saw them live a couple of years ago. It was definitely worth seeing.
For context, one of Angus Young's signature moves is to spin on the floor while playing guitar.
Gotcha!!! Super cool! 🤘🏻
They no longer tour together, but at least Hauser still performs. Love these guys! Anything and everything they play!
I've seen this many times but it's the first time noticing the guy banging on the back of the Cello, great reaction.
Really appreciate it! 😁
Their version of "Trooper" is awesome. You should definitely check it out.
Check out their cover of Iron Maiden's "The Trooper." They also have a great cover of "Highway to Hell" on electric cellos with Steve Vai. Thanks for the great reactions.
They are great at combining classical and rock in way you do not expect. They have a large catalog of music you need to look at
Hi Steveo 🙂 Hope you are well. Hugs from Oz
Doing good! Thanks for asking and I hope you are doing well too!! 😁
For another great version of this song, please react to "Thunderstruck by Steve'n'Seagulls (LIVE)"
You should see their version of Queen- show must go on. It's equally mind blowing.
You need to check out more 2 Cellos
Your reaction was the same as mine first time hearing that!!❤😂
MAN 😮 WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN??
These two MASTER CELLO PLAYERS have been touring together for at least ten years!!
SOLD OUT CONCERTS AROUND THE WORLD!
You name it and they play it!! Classical to Rock to Metal and everything in between!
Go on to RUclips and listen to their huge music repertoire!
They used to be rivals in competition, then they joined forces and became THE TWO CELLOS…. They are very funny and do comical bits as they play. I believe they were both child protégées… But at least they are master players now. You have to check out all their music that’s on RUclips. Just beautiful astonishing music.
Been slipping but glad I found them now! Straight 🔥🔥
They are an amazing rabbit hole to go down. I'll bet you didn't know they used to tour with Elton John? Check out Trouper and Smooth Criminal to start. Then maybe a concert or two. They've guested with some very talented people.
They also covered Hendrix 'Purple Haze'
It would be a dream come true to see these two guys doing a command performance with Kevin Olusola.
Check out their 'Live at Sydney Opera House! DRUMS!!!!! Also, their 'Trooper Overture' video!!!
Okay, if you want to hear cellos playing heavy metal, you should definitely look into the Finnish band Apocalyptica as well. Their covers of Metallica songs like Nothing Else Matters and Welcome Home (Sanitarium) spring to mind as favorites of mine.
If you like this sort of stuff then you might like The Midnight String Quartet. They do a really cool renditions of Volbeat for one. Lola Montez is pretty cool. Of course the actual Volbeat song kicks ass and there are some really epic live performances with giant crowds and I know you dig that. Take that cello and turn it on its side- chello. If you know then you know.
Oni su iz Hrvatske!
I was hoping you'd react to this soon. The first time I saw this, my mind was blown. So blown that I forgot English and could only utter prehistoric guttural sounds. They should show videos like these in grade school to inspire kids to learn to play an instrument.
Haha 😂 No doubt! So killer! 🔥🔥
🤘👍👍🤘ed
Saw these guys about 10 years ago, they opened for Elton John in Bethel NY. So cool, they played like four songs and then it was Elton time. Pretty neat.
Another thunderstruck cover you should checkout Thunderstruck by Steve'n'Seagulls - they have many covers
Check out the 2Cellos with Steve Vai doing an AC DC song
Yep, this is insanely good! Loved it from the first time I heard/saw it! Some other good covers of Thunderstruck are from Steve´n Seagulls and another one from The bad piper. For another incredible cover, check out Porkka Playboys with "Bohemian raphsody". Then there is Hayseed Dixie, with many rock covers in bluegrass.
Loved it! That bow would cost a fortune to redo
From what I remember, they're Croatian cellists who are classically trained, and musical rivals in their youths. They teamed up for some really cool covers and live performances. I don't think they tour anymore, but that's just recently. They also paired with a very talented drummer in their most recent years (don't rembeber the name), who added another leevel of rock vibe to their performances. They have tons on videos on RUclips, and are all worth a watch! I suggest their cover off MJ's Smooth Criminal next.
Luka is from Slovenia and Stjepan is from Croatia ❤ my home country
@@JBjopa8 Luka's father is Croatian.
@RossWrock yes Luka is born in Slovenia but his father is from Dubrovnik right? And his mom is from Slovenia
They are amazing!
They do one in Guitar World with Steve Via that really good
Music is just freakin awesome!
Let’s Goooo!!! 💯
:D When somebody sits you down at a dining table with several different spoons forks & knives on each side of the plate, you take a deep breath, smile and glance around the table while watching what everybody else is doing as you begin using those spoons & forks & knives of different sizes, shapes and sharpness on each side of *your* plate. Dining can be an adventure at times. :)
They are 2 friends/Brothers. They also do the trooper by Maiden and Mike j smooth criminal, Elton John saw them and they are in his band.
👍
Who’d a thunk it?!
These guys are great, and they have a lot more besides Thunderstruck they also do Highway to Hell with Steve Vai. They are playing electric cellos in the Highway to Hell video.
This blew my mind when I hereditary about 5 years ago!
Check out Kevin Olusola from Pentatonix. He is a musical magician!
@@MommaBird52 I covered one of his tunes here on the channel months ago! So good!! 🔥
He's no so bad at being a beat boxer either!
Second time seeing it. It's awesome! Love, the mix of old instruments and modern music. Check out the HU doing Metallica "Through the Never. They use traditional Mongolian instruments. They rock! Great reaction.
you gotta check out "back in baroque"? sp. it was a classical cover/rendition of the entire back in black album. I owned and loved it on CD decades ago. as a matter of fact I'ma 'bout to search it just as soon as I finish watching this reaction! keep doin' what your doin'!
They did used to perform with a drummer when they were playing live. You probably need to check out "Smells Like Teen Spirit" live at the Sydney Opera House. They've both amicably decided to split to concentrate on solo projects, (they are both classical cellists), but there's always a possibility that they might get back together again one day.
🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
As we gwt closer to Christmas you have to check out- Mr. GRINCH by Small Town Titans.
@@Alacarte0421 also the Piano Guys doing Angels We Have Heard On High.
Check out "Smooth Criminal" by them
if you liked that, check out the group 40 Fingers. Amazing!
Yes, they go through a LOT of bows!
Haha 😂
Let's Gooo. ! I'm watching this for the first time with you. I've heard a lot about this. For those about to rock from AC/DC should be next. Peace out Steven ☮️ ✌️ 🙏Edit I would definitely go and see them live. I never knew the Cello could be so cool 😎 😅
I know right!! 😁
Stjepan Hauser is an amazing cellist. He is the guy on the left of your video, in the lighter colored costume. His performance of Shostakovich us Waltz No. 2 is just one example. Besides the fact that he is playing his heart out and giving that cello a workout, he's flirting and winking at the ladies sitting up front. What a pergormance.

Enjoy!
Steven Tyler performed "Dream On" and "Walk This Way" with 2 Cellos at the Roman Colosseum. Vid available on YT.
Please do more 2CELLOS!
Definitely more to come for sure! Really enjoyed this one! 🔥🔥
Apocalyptica is very similar , cello based rock and covers ..
Now do the live version of this, you'll get your drums. And the live version of Teen Spirit at the Sydney Opera House.
You should see them Iron Maidens The Trooper.
A must listen of classical gone great update is ELO's version of Roll Over Beethoven. Even if you don't review, just listen to the amazing music and all the various instruments.

ruclips.net/video/yGR3DV4mqBA/видео.htmlsi=5NupHBxMaKWeXhS-
The first video is an audio version and is much better than the second. The second video is a live concert. Jeff Lynne and his band are all on spot, but Jeff really goes nuts on his guitar.
There are a lot of covers of the original of this song, but even the Beatles couldn't hold a candle to ELO.
Enjoy!
🔥🔥
These dudes were throwing down! 🔥
Check out Steve seagulls thunder struck
I’ve never seen or heard chellos
Kevin Olusola, The beatboxer for Pentatonix, Is a world class cello player. He has performed at Carnegie hall. There's a video called Kevin's 5th that is the backstory of how Kevin came to be with Pentatonix and the progression of his cello boxing. He beatboxes while playing the cello. If you're not sure what this was Kevin's pretty much the same. You will really enjoy it And really appreciate appreciate the cello Even more than you do. He will Play it in videos Sometimes
I covered one of his songs here on the channel quite a ways back! 🤯
If you like this, listen to Hayseed Dixie - Strawberry Fields Forever!
Different!
Check out a duo called Black Violin. "A Flat" is the name of the piece and it's 🔥!
If you want to put drums to it, do live version of Smells Like Teen Spirit. You won't be disappointed.
These 2 guys have done a few videos where they played rock music on their cellos. As a fellow cello player I can tell you that what they did is extremely difficult to do and you have to be a professional to play that way.
I don't know what I just watched but it was crazy good!
😁
You might like their Highway to Hell with Steve Vai.
FYI. WHEN YOU'RE AT A FORMAL MEAL USE YOUR UTENSILS FROM THE OUTSIDE AND WORK YOUR WAY IN.
Appreciate it! A life hack indeed! 😁
If you liked this. You need to react to the original band that played this style of music with 4 cellos. Apocalyptica - "One" (metallica cover played with 4 cellos)
Tell yall wutz goin awn 😂 eeeeeeennnnnnn
😂🤣
If you like acdc covers you should check out steve n seagulls
Great reaction!! If you have a chance check out The Tenors- Who Wants to Live Forever ft. Lindsay Sterling. Something a little different for ya:)
Really appreciate it! 😁
I like Steve N Seagull's version with the banjo & anvil.
Me too! But both are amazing! Peace from Northern Michigan!
what is a steavin sea gull?
@Steve-gx9ot
A band from Europe that plays thunderstruck with different instruments, starts with a guy on a riding lawnmower with an animal hat with an accordion. They are worth checking out! Peace from Northern!
They are from Finland.

Did you say, "I know, it's only Rock and Roll, but I like it" ??? Sounds like a good title for a song ...
🤣😂
If you like this you'll love Armstrong and Miller's cover of Gay Bar (ruclips.net/video/G2kD1YUtA5o/видео.html)
Search thunderstruck BAG PIPES😂
These guys werent the first. There is a band called Apocalyptica with 4 cellos and a drummer that have been around since 1993 - started doing metallica covers. But one performance i think you would like, if you like 2 cellos and thunderstruck... is this one. Sepultura's Inquisition Symphony. ruclips.net/video/_tgLdWCDWSw/видео.html They actually did a video with Metallica (james and robert) of One last year. ruclips.net/video/Rg80u-TMNeE/видео.html
Based on your channel, do you review Epic the Musical? This popped up on recommended but I love to watch and support those who analyze Jorges stuff
Never heard of them! 🤷🏻♂️
@setonhillstudios oh my.... Epic the musical by Jorge Rivera-Merrands. Search it. You won't be disappointed. He's a musical genius for writing the odyssey into a musical. There are musical motifs, and he does so much musically (its been a 5y project of 40 songs) you might have heard "get in the water" as a trend... that was him, he just released the final version of that last month. I promise A. You wont be disappointed and B. The epic community is huge and will find you, even if you want to analyze the music alone and not find everyone animating all the songs.
You can see how much playing like this abuses the bows from all the broken strings.
man if you like musician nut jobs you should check a rocker who uses the classical flute as a rock instrument of choice the name of the nut job is Ian Anderson the name of the band is Jethro Tull check any live performance i know you’re going to love it
I have quite a few Jethro Tull reactions here on the channel! Wild!! 🔥🔥
Too many pauses.
No worries. I ain’t for everyone. Have a great one! 😁
