Saw them live at Radio City Music Hall. They were fantastic! They put on a great show. Fantastic light show, and when they brought the drummer out for the second half of the show, they really rocked! My wife, who is more familiar with classical music than I am and used to play the violin was like “Why are we going to see two cellists? I mean I’m sure I’ll enjoy it but this isn’t your style.” She was blown away and said thank you for getting these tickets. If you ever told a younger me I would buy tickets to see a cello show and enjoy it I would have said you were nuts!
I first heard of these guys when they opened for Elton John back maybe 2012 or 2013. They played several covers like this and then started the opening riff of “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting” before Elton’s band joined in. Everyone in the audience loved them. Regarding hearing more than two cello tracks at a time, they do use loop pedals during their live concerts.
I really do appreciate you trying to be as objective as possible, but I can't help but recommend you checking them live since you mentioned that several times. I do love your score, don't get me wrong, but I think you might appreciate them even more after seeing them live.
Watching them shred those bows does make me wonder how many they go through during a concert. I'm sure that they don't destroy them this quickly in real life, but it's still likely faster than the average classical cellist.
They have tons of concerts and live performances, they go through a few bows heh. Here's one specific to this review ruclips.net/video/ZM6Y5Mi4fNE/видео.html
@@THEDavidHeretic I see your point, but, you rarely react to the same song twice and there are gazillions of songs out there waiting to be reacted to, so, I think it is worth it to improve your reaction this way. Also, I can not really say that any other reactor does it, so it would definitely bring something new to the table. Greetings from Iceland :-)
Hey David, if you want more band cover's different songs make them completely original. Check out Type O take on Paranoid by Black Sabbath, you'll love how Peter made this classic song, into his own.
anybody else gets "I guess you guys aren't ready for that, yet. But your kids are gonna love it." vibes? 😆

I recommend "Highway to Hell Live at Sydney Opera" the whole hall goes absolutly crazy 🤩
(ever seen someone do a duckwalk with a friggin cello? 😂)
Great score! 2Cellos are pretty amazing. They are entertaining to watch. I believe there are live performances of them on YT, but I'm not 100% sure
They perform it live multiple times with exactly this intensity.
Live is even better 👍
they do play like this live tho
Dude. Enough with the preaching of it not being live! We get it already. Can't you just enjoy it?

For God's sake listen to them live if music videos not being live upsets you so much.

They sound great live. Please react to their live cover of Nirvana's Smells like teen spirit.
Give them a look for a live version when they use their electric cielo's. You will not be disappointed.

This!!! You must watch this live
Seen them in concert a few times. They are fantastic and their drummer is awesome as well. You should check out one of their live videos.
I have seen them perform live on a RUclips video at one of them huge outdoor festival they had a drummer with them It was pretty good actually
The first thing I've heard of them and I totally enjoyed it!
A very good score taking on board your perspectives. 😎
Why not go online before the review and check how well they do it live ?
That might ruin potential future reactions.

@@haukurarnason9904 not completely rare though
There are some songs that he reacted to up to 4 or even 5 times!
If anything, the variety of acts you're getting to review is quite a selection.
Good
