This badass heroic song gives you the wrong idea about the main character. Despite the intro exposition, the song makes you think he's going to help someone, overcome something or is out for justice. But, nope, to quote the chick in the second edition "He IS a death demon!"
Its like in fistof the north star, where the song is about "takin back our love" but all ken does the whole time is blowing opps up from the inside out with kung fu, probably has a kill count in the tens of thousands by the end. Since its the apocalypse and the population is low, hes literally commiting genocide, like md geist
The song pretty much warns you, "Can't stop. He's just a soldier." He can't stop killing people and waging war and that's all he is. He's introduced as being like Rambo, but he's really more like Jason Vorhees!
M.D.Geist: One of the COOLEST characters to go absolutely NOWHERE. If i were rich and looking to create my own action anime show, i'd buy the rights to this (can't cost much at this point, lol), and get to work. So MUCH unrealized GREATNESS in the character and concept.
The love that I have for this absolute maniac and the destruction that's brought onto everyone is indescribable. Not to mention that the track is an absolute banger as well.
This anime.. Well mostly this song, was one of the inspirations for a little comic I did in high school, I had called it "Sentient Armament". Battle Angel Alita manga, and Bastard were also huge inspirations, as well as Blade Runner, Universal Soldier, and Fear Factory songs. Main character, which actually was an imaginary friend I created when I was a little kid, named "K" (very funny story), was made the main character. I remember drawing him for the first time, when I was about 15, I modeled him after Ivan Drago, of Rocky IV, and Galford of Samurai Showdown lol... It was funny to see him in Final Fantasy XV, when I had made him in multiplayer. I gave him the name Kaiden, when I had finally drawn him- which fit him as it means "warrior", (it was also a way to make a name out of "K" lol) but his creators in the story (he's artificial being), call him "Kaidan", which means "rare", or "strange", as he is viewed in the story often. He is supposed to be a super soldier, which in the story are called "Zayin", meaning "weapon" in Hebrew, as his type are just viewed as living weapons, infused with genes of a fallen angel. some of his moves in the game (being worked on), have "soldier" in it. One of them even being called "Most Dangerous Soldier" lol. Game is being done like Castlevania Symphony of the Night, and we're pushing for it to look more like Guilty Gear, it goes well with the comic, being redone as well. ^_^
@Jotaro97 Well it was something I started doing by myself. I had stopped for awhile, because a close friend of mine who had been working with me, died. Over this past summer, I was encouraged to get back into it and finish it. But others are now joining in, including my cousin who is also an artist, and 3 other friends. This summer we'll basically be moved in together working, so I guess so lol.
This is an amazing concept, I hope one day you publish and illustrate this to the world 🙏🏾🤧 Ima show my friends this, I think they’d love this picture in their heads too 😅🔥💯
@@jye116 Wow thanks! Everything is in early stage still, but very very happy with things so far. My brother even decided to help when I am ready to start showing the back story through comic form, which I will do on here with videos. On his home world, the character is named Kaidan, but on Earth he is named Einar, by the man who adopts him. He was only supposed to be sent to Earth briefly, as the bounty hunter group known as the "Stardust Crusaders", Were fighting off a cult, and various criminal organizations on the space station Zot.. I had called them the Stardust Crusaders, because my brother and I were obsessed with the track on Sonic CD as kids, "Stardust Speedway Present", US version (music on there was so amazing!). The Stardust Crusaders were also a little comic I drew as a kid, which took place in the same world/era as Sentient Armament. The bounty hunters lose the baby Einar though, and since his pod is damaged, they have no clue where he is on Earth which scares them since he was born with a mutation of his genes which eventually turn weapons like him, into instruments of indiscriminate destruction, capable of destroying galaxies even. Later when he learns about this, as well as learns to control it, he has to wear a special mask which helps him retain his sanity, and himself. Because he is raised in Neo Viking culture on Earth, he calls the mask "Ulfhednar Grimr". The form he takes becomes his third weapon which is called "Weapon of Sovereign Ruination, True Arsenal Form, Righteous Violence" lol.
People dunk on Geist a lot but I love both OVAs so much (can't find Ground Zero, much to my chagrin, if anyone has any pointers, let me know). They're basically my teenage power fantasies come to life and it's so nice to see a main character who is not trying to be relatable and instead is just himself, personified violence. Also the soundtrack is amazing and so are many of the designs in the anime itself.

Geist kinda did, by killing off nearly everyone on the planet. Not like he wanted to escape though, after killing that dude who froze him the only thing he wanted to do was to keep fighting.
In fairness.... Geist was just a d*ck. 'Save the world or cause it to burn, Imma burn it.' Twice. Guy didn't want war he wanted hell. And he made it happen.
Here's a coincidence, "The Death Force" from MD Geist and "PeaceKeepers" from Horizon Zero Dawn have indentical programing and self replicating. When I uncovered the story I immediately thought of Geist and wondered if it influeneced the story.
You know, when I watched Geist again--yes--it made me think of the machines in Horizon Zero Dawn. Not just any. I remember reading or hearing the news report about a seafarering machine eating a school of dolphin in HZD. That little snippet stuck with and disturbed me.
But that would defeat the whole purpose. Geist is the MOST DANGEROUS. The whole point of Geist is that he is basically a super soldier gone rogue. Geist is more of a force of nature than he is a character. If you ever read MD Geist: Ground Zero which was a comic that acted as a prequel (and should totally be animated) he is sorta kept in check. But of course eventually Geist had to be put in suspended animation. If MD Geist is ever remade what they should do is to write Vaiya better. The story might be called MD Geist but it is really Vaiya's perspective that we witness the horrors of the Jerran/Nexrum war unfold. At least that's how I saw it and think it should be.
@@mrsticky005 It's him going rogue is what got both the MDS program canceled and him inprisoned aboard a satilite,if there someone to reign in Giest, than he would be seen as a valueible asset rather than a failed experiment that needed to be disposed of
