when wehn character is moving forward? everyone showing animations with running in place. when they move forward and you switch to second animation, they skip back to start position
2:22 - imports walk 3:22 - how to blend animations so its not instantaneous 3:50 - imports the run 4:40 - make sure to move the keyframes of the action 5:30 - how to extend the run clip
Mixamo works great like this, if you can combine the movements this quickly in Blender, the combination of Blender and Mixamo really has a lot of utility for 3d artists.
Thank you for the lesson! Just 2 questions. First - How to fix when the legs move from one pose to another and fall into plain? The second question is, when there is a transition from one animation to another, the character returns to the center, how to make it transition in one place. Thank you!
Very helpful, and clearly explained. Thanks!!! Now I just need to learn how to do this with animations that are not "in place," so that the character doesn't return to the starting point on each transition. Is there any simple way to do this?
Hey, awesome tutorial! I have a question tho: my second animation blends in, but is rotated 180 degrees on the x axis, although the rig isnt. Do you know what might cause this problem?
thank you so much for the tutorial, i am totally grateful, so thus i subscribed♥ however, question!! if i may... when i extend the "repeat" on my animation either "walking" or any other move, it moves my character back to the center spot from where it was moving to. is there a way to fix that and make my character continue their path..????
bro great but i am having problem when i dont select the in place option and want the ch to move and add another animation on that it returns to the same place and then start the another animation
Hello Balu, I'm having issues with two mixamo animations that I'm trying to blend. I'm using the same mannequin as in the video. The issue is the character won't stay in the same position after finishing the "Swing to Land" move. ...and I think it's related to the Mesh's Origin. - Swing to Land - Crouch to Stand. If you or anyone else could shine a light on my problem, that would be great. Thank you guys, Cheers.
Thank you very much for this video. I managed to combine 4 animations and export them to Element 3D. I previously tried this directly in the element, but the transitions between animations were not smooth.
Hi..."in place" option appears only if the character is changing locations like running or walking etc...for dancing, fighting etc that option will not appear...
super. Thanks for this tutorial. will this work only with mixamo characters or also with custom characters? could you please make a tutorial with custom character and blend an animation from mixamo and Rokoko and merge it.
Thanks bro! Subscribed But on the 5:00 there is no need to move the keyframes of RUN animation, you can easily move the RUN strips to desired location on NLA editor, that is were NLA editor shines
I'm working on Blender version 4.1, and I think it doesn't work the same way. You must not move the animation which arrives at frame 1. Otherwise, it won't create a new track in the NLA!!...maybe it's an improvement in Blender..... ….. Thank you very much for your training !!!
it is possible to increase an animation when it is not activated in place in mixamo, The character walks to a certain place and has about 10 more steps left, how can I increase this? Can you help?
I can't seem to figure this out. I am trying to make it look like 2 characters are talking to each other, but the other animation keeps snapping back to its original location. I need help.
/remind me. I had that problem and someone said just G move the armature (the full anim). But it doesnt work. Im not sure if we have to select the Root bone and G move that, then update the keyframe so it sticks. But then Idk how to use that offset move for all keyframes of the Root bone.
How to export this all animation in single fbx...i faced one problem, only 1st animation only exported because that armature is visible in scene layer other armature animation we hide..?
