Dang I love this co-op playthrough. The combination of somewhat stoic and grumpy and sweet and trusting is match made in Heaven (or Straud's pocket dimension). Seeing someone who usually dms experience this game is so cool. It sometimes shines through in the way Merlin plans beforehand and had a look. at things before deciding. I personally jumped into most things headfirst, consequences to be dealt with afterwards.
minor illusion works much better out of combat for whatever reason. then it really distracts a crowd so you can (turn based) sneak by, pickpocket and such :)
Making me miss my paladin. I just finished the game with him. He was an absolute menace. Just erased enemies off the map, especially with a little Haste from Gale. I also played The Dark Urge background with him, which was really fun to play with as a Paladin. Damn, I wish the game had a NG+ mode so I could keep playing him. Here's hoping for some DLC content!
So many things going so differently in this campaign from every other BG3 run I've ever seen. No one else ever found the book, lit the braziers with fire bolt, went in the crypt from the BACK, or Mage Handed the button like that. WOW.
i don't think i've ever lit a high chandelier or lamp using fire bolt. That makes so much sense i'll have to remember. it may be helpful where i am in the game.
Loving the co-op play though. I would love to see if you could activate the oath breaker storyline though paladin through no fault of her own. She is too sweet to do it. But it would be amazing to see the redemption arc play out with both of you.

Ritual spells are baller in this game. If cast out of combat, they don’t take spell slots, and last until long rest
They do take spell slots now.
they do not@@ravenwda007

My first D&D character was a halfling paladin. Super fun to play.
This is so fun! I love how much love you both have for the game, your characters, and each other, it makes the playthrough very heart-warming to watch

2d6+3 slashing +1d4 fire +2d8 radiant(smite) damage on a hit. Yep, probably strongest lvl 2 in the game.
Is the solo walkthrough cancelled?
Nope. Continuing after her vacation is done.
