Hugs from Brazil Justin. I'm a stonecutter on the weekends. My late father extracted marine waters weighing more than twelve kilos and I feel a great emotion to see photos of tourmalines as large as those I saw in my childhood. I still have many pieces saved as a souvenir.

Magnificent!!!! Didn't know that that these machines existed. Goes to show, that no matter how long you are a gem cutter, you realize, you know nothing!
    Thanks ounce again.

I think almost nobody knows that these machines exist which is why it’s so fun to discover them

Fantastic! Always awesome to see some more simple/early machines that are proven effective. Not at all impossible to recreate if you don't have the budget for a modern faceting rig.

It has a good name ... There were merrill rifles made in lake placid newyork too ,from the early 1800s.
And my last name is Merrill...and I am certified as a gunsmith and while failing miserably at it ,I am trying to get my s*?$ together to get the money saved that I need to take my personal next step ,sending off my stones . Eventually I want to cut stones myself . Being uprooted from my home and all stability multiple times over the last 4 years has been devastating to every aspect of my life. My one saving grace is being driven to continue no matter what ...not even sure death itself will stop my endeavors .

@@JustinKPrim that , I will never do...I can't give up. The one thing left I have to overcome to make real progress is that everytime I have resources building up ,something happens that requires them. Every single time.
Once that is sorted out ... I wonder if it's life itself or if I am missing something I do to cause it or if it's external.
