Your videos are helpful thank you John! I cut so seldom these days, working full time, I sometimes forget things! Appreciate you! I refer people to your academy!
I'm an amateur faceter who has a few dozen hours on a few different machines, but has yet to take the plunge and acquire a machine of my own. One of the pieces of equipment i have purchased so far is an ultrasonic cleaner, on recommendation from other professional polishers I have farmed out glass millie polishing to. It occurred to me that having stainless steel food service pans that fit in my ultrasonic cleaner and are dedicated to cleaning each grit size might be a good idea, thus keeping the main bath free of grit to help prevent cross contamination. Dunno if it would help any further, but I am tinkering with and building a 3D printed device that would automatically turn my laps through the ultrasonic bath. Thank you very much for sharing all of your tech tips; I've learned a lot and taken notes ✍️🧐🤓

Hi, Bob, I don't think they're taking any orders. You're going to have to improvise. Maybe find a plastic bowl you can modify. Maybe find someone who can create one for you - possibly 3d printing. If you find someone, please share back here, as more people are going to need them.
@@InsightThoughtSystems I like this idea. I've been having luck using 3D printing to make molds (-) which I use to cast silicone mother molds (+) that can make many refractory plaster molds (-) which are used at high temperatures to cast glass (+).
I'd be willing to try casting new silicone splash pans, but I don't own a facetron for reference. I will go survey my local lapidary club's machine. Are there any markings on the bottom of the pan that might indicate what type of plastic it might be, if it is injection molded? IDK, maybe they're more rubbery?

what about the inner workings of the protractor shaft (threaded rod) and the dial indicator???
I don't teach about the inner workings of the machine. I don't recommend people get into tinkering with the inner workings.
máy mài đá quí của bạn có nhiều tiền không?
Hey bud. Do you know where I can buy a replacement Splash bowl? Seems like the Facetron company’s phones are offline.
