    Justin, thanks for the video and the machine shown. I have already seen it previously made by another company and used in a serious company. Excellent for fast cutting of standard shapes and designs. It seems well made and the price is ok. I love all machines that work with a handpiece.

    If you wanted to work out your table alignment get the gemmaster table dop or get one similat made with thread on the end and adapt it to the dop thread on the other type dop that comes with the machine

    • @boblakey1359
      @boblakey1359 11 месяцев назад

      You don't need a table dop, you just need to know how to use the table attachment correctly.

    I love the paradox that the simplest machine is the hardest to master. Not knowing what angle you’re cutting is downright perverse, but perhaps being freed from the tyranny of faceting diagrams is compensation enough. I’d like to know what an electrician thinks of the wiring. Thanks for an excellent review.

    I am here in Namibia with a similar but a seven seater machine I would love to ask. If possibly you can provide facet designs for different basic shapes for a jambpeg faceting machine please.

    If your using heat all the time the plastic on the dop being close to the tip would degrade fairly quck id imagine .the crown setup looks like a good idea nice and quick . The transfer doesnt have any real locking in place arrangement , i dont use wax i use 2 part epoxy so im guessing youd need the cheater a fair bit ,i dont think ill be trading my gemmaster in for one any time soon but.great review cheers

    Just wondering if you can buy a high quality mast separately anywhere? It seems like some budget laps would work with a variety of masts. It would be a good way to get started cutting.

      KMT sells a mast that goes on this base called KAVI. I hope to review it this summer. The price is right but not sure how well it works.

      The more reviews the merrier! I think the world can stand an expert opinion as well as a newbie perspective since most hobbyists won’t have been trained on this machine. If you can leave a link to Bobs review here I’m sure viewers would appreciate that.

    I’m not a gem cutter but I am a machinist. Wouldn’t it be more repeatable if there was an adjustable stop that the dob rests on. This would prevent removing to much material from any one facet.
