It’s just American or Latin Christianity it’s very toxic like I’m a British Roman Catholic and we have no problem with gay people like there’s many gay or bi people at my school the only thing we don’t allow is gay marriage but that’s cause you have to be able to give birth to get married but they’ll just tell you to get married outside the church
@@studentofthesaviors.o.s well no what can they do about it the church can’t control it if a persons gay the church has relatively minor powers especially in the uk where they like to hide the fact they oppress catholics
I believe a true christian should love everybody wether you have the same views or not. God created all of us for a reason. God loves all of us no matter who we are, and i hate that churches cant love everybody just like god does. God doesn;t want us to hate. Because hating is sinful.
This is the problem with people... Y'all talk about God according to how YOU FEEL, not biblically. Let's see if God loves everyone Romans 9:13 [13]As it is written, Jacob have I loved, *but Esau have I hated.* News flash, God hates. Guess what else? God did command us to hate let's get it Amos 5:15 [15] *Hate the evil, and love the good,* and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph. Good is the commandments (Romans 7:12) so the opposite of the good commandments is breaking them. So we are command to hate. Stop talking out your heart and start reading the book it's that simple
I grew up in Opus Dei, a cult (or "personal prelature") within Catholicism. I ran away a few years back. When introducing myself to a priest at a new parish I accidentally outed myself. When I got to the end of my sentence and realized what I had done, I was horrified. I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me. Then I looked at the priest's expression. It hadn't changed. It was like I hadn't just said what I said. He *accepted me* for who I was. At a later date when he took my confession, he *apologized* for misgendering me (on accident) during absolution. I was floored.
I have my own beliefs as a Christian, but to treat people differently for how they choose to be is downright the opposite of what my God teaches us to do. I've got friends and loved ones who are part of the LGBTQ+ but that doesn't mean I love them any less or are hateful towards them in any way. That is not right at all.
@@ivymonique3525 No I'm here to correct those who are lying on scripture. You said we are not to rebuke them if they are in that sin, okay let's see Leviticus 19:17-18 [17]Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: *thou shalt in any wise REBUKE thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.* [18]Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

People keep spouting verses from the bible confirming that God condemns sexuality but keep in mind that the Bible has been translated from its original language. The different versions of the bible in english can't even collectively agree on what the translation is for Leviticus 20:13. For all we know the bible might have been condemning pedophilia as it was extremely common for pedophilia between adult men and male children. At this point, only God really knows what the Bible actually means. But do know that God does love and that Jesus loved humankind so much that he died for us. (Btw, you can find a bunch of articles detailing how the Bible might have been mistranslated. It really is quite interesting)
The Bible was made in hebrew and the translation of that was “man should not lie with man” or something along those lines. also, God would not give us the Bible if none of us understood it and he was the only one who understands what it means. btw i’m g too

Im not lgbt but please do not ever feel that God does not love you or does not know who you are, he created you. You deserve to be happy, loved, and appreciated. But the thing that bothers me is how almost all of the replies that say something something along the lines of you are loved and deserve to be loved have that extra line of that everybody subs and God forgives all sin. @@noorjennahkuddah7620 I did assume you were Christian because of the phrasing, typically I have heard the word "God" used for Christianity and other names for different religions, but I am sorry for wrongly assuming. Jab may not be the right word either, more of a nagging feeling or a slightly bad aftertaste
@@arcaneshrimp5566 I can completely understand but in my mind people accusing others of sin is actually worse than the so called sin. I call it sin and use that phrase because yes it is not meant as a means of hurting you or anyone else except those that use it as a weapon to harm others. Religion for me is all inclusive and not about people holding themselves as better than someone else because of "sin" when not a darn one of us is perfection ( except me of course 🤣🤣🤣🤣 sorry my halo fell 🤣🤣🤣😂😂) . The beauty of humanity is that we are different....we were made to learn to love and exist peacefully together. I am not perfect but what does it hurt to be loving and kind to others...we all have our battle scars in life....religion should not be a weapon and love with kindness should be the standard. So, now I will tell you there are many people that have inspired me that were secretly gay for years.....and I learned that we all have purpose because who we sleep with and fall in love with are nobody's business but our own and if they make you happy and feel who is anyone else to judge....this is what I suppose may have been a bit better said? 😍

I grew up raised in church, homeschooled and extremely sheltered, and had never even knowingly met anyone from the LGBTQ community until my 20s. I didn't come out til I was 22. I'm now in my 30's and no amount of prayer, worship or scripture reading has ever made me straight. I may not have many Christian friends these days, but I feel closer to God now than I ever have by simply accepting that I was born that way. I hope this helps someone. You are loved so much just the way you were made. =)
As a gender non-conforming person it honestly brings me to tears seeing older people in the community embrace that they're non-binary. Years of being told it's a young person's fad, and that I'd grow out of it. Just seeing how clearly that NEVER was the truth makes me so happy.
I'm not a Catholic and my family neither, but I attended church when I was a child in order to get confirmation and communion, because I'm an Italian and it was like a tradition. When we became teenagers one time they give us like a sex education lesson. I'm not in the LGBTQ community, but I have friends in it and I was always very supportive. They told us that being homosexual was a mental disorder that could be cured and they let us know where to go if we wanted to. I was so angry! I wish nowadays nobody will believe that, but it should be forbidden to say such things to little eleven-twelve years old guys. It's something you can really believe growing up and this is so dangerous.
The only people I have come out to is my mother and BFF, and they is so unexpected supportive. But I know if I come out to anyone else they will stop loving me like they do rn. Edit: Thank you for all your kind comments :) I came out to a few more people, and most of them told me it’s a phase so that’s nice.
I understand that. I’m a Christian but I’m also openly gay so there have been moments where I felt like an outsider to my community. But I was very thankful that were people from my family and some my friends who became very supportive of me.
I’m a Christian and I think we should love one another! I don’t agree with the gay community but that dosen’t define a person. I belive that God made man and women but you go girl! :) people should love you no matter what I know God does.
If anyone watching this is looking for an LGBTQ+ affirming spiritual community, and I mean actually LGBTQ+ affirming (will marry queer couples, allows queer ministers, fully welcoming) I would recommend seeing if you have a Unitarian Universalist congregation in your area or a United Church of Christ congregation. She’s a lesbian and was dating women meeting women online hooking up with them my daughters friend that is and keeping a secret. Then she puts post on her Facebook that being gay is a sin is disgusting etc. etc.. And it’s not my place to Tell her who she is. I told her a few things about herself. And the funny thing is her parents don’t feel this way it’s her own self hate that feels that way. And I told her she will never truly be happy until she’s ready to admit who she is and who she loves.

Some days ago the Vatican tried to change that law because they’re literally surrounded by us and they said “it infringes the freedom of speech” (even if the law explicitly says you can have your opinion and express it politely)
The problem with religions is that most have a holy book which includes rules and regs and a code of conduct. I am Catholic and straight so I can't completely relate to the Catholics on this video but I also grew up hearing that if you're LGBTQ+ that you're going to Hell in the church and my parents. Both sides of my family are Catholic and incredibly homophobic. I have two cousins who are gay but it's like the elephant in the room; we don't acknowledge it so it doesn't exist. I wouldn't ask them about it to make them uncomfortable but it makes no difference to me. I personally don't care about anyone being gay; just do you 🤷🏼♀️ Everyone deserves love and with Pope Francis' message of accepting all member of the LGBTQ+ community because scorning others is not a Catholic/Christian thing to do; I'm glad that we finally have a leader of our Faith who encourages acceptance and loving everyone without adding a clause.
If people really love Jesus they would share the gospel to those who are in sin. There have been people who have gone to hell and purgatory and have seen the agony that people are going through. Since we are all brothers and sisters we have to care for each other and help out each other and pray for one another. Jesus wants us to Love but not accept the sin, because with pure love sin is destroyed. Because with love we follow his laws and the commandments.
I read my king James Bible everyday and I know for certain that nobody goes to hell for being gay. Romans 3:23 [23]For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. It can be hard to face the challenge of the church mentality but when you overcome that, you're capable to overcome many other challenges in life and you'll be stronger. Their mentality is very hard to change in many other subjects. Being different in general isn't well accepted. So what doesn't kill you will definitely make you stronger. So as a Christian, I believe that we are ALL sinners and there are no sins that are worse than another one. I believe that a man sleeping with another man is a sin, the Bible makes that clear. Nowhere in the Bible does God or Jesus explicitly condemn homosexuality and verses that are used to do so by churches are often taken out of context in order to be used as weapons. In fact, the word “homosexuality” did not appear in the Bible until 1946 in the RSV translation when it was used in place of the Greek word “arsenokoitai”. However, in previous translations, even in the Germanic texts of Martin Luther from the 1500s, that word was used to condemn men who molested young boys. Hello I am Christian and gay, and there are many more like me! What you are saying is that a certain group of people should not be Christian. Which is kind of funny because it is God's desire for everyone to come to him despite any other factors concerning their lives. Also since you believe that being gay is a sin and should not be Christian, that kind of implies no one should be Christian because guess what, we all sin in many different ways, although I do not believe being gay is a sin.

Most of the members accept me for who I am, but the leaders do not and I risk excommunication when I medically transition.
I have honestly involved God so much in figuring out my sexuality and gender, too. To anybody who tells me what I'm doing is wrong and I am sinning I tell them that it is not and God knows that too.
Hi Piper, I’m a member of the LDS Church as well. I am so sorry about your experience. Conversion therapy is wrong and I don’t agree with the policy of getting excommunicated for transitioning. When you leave the church, I hope that you find the peace and acceptance that you deserve. If you still believe in God, that relationship will always be precious to Him even if it looks different from others.

That's what I think as well, pederastry was a common practice during that time (adult man with younger boy), especially in Greece and Rome.
The Bible was made in hebrew and the translation of that was “man should not lie with man” or something along those lines. also, God would not give us the Bible if none of us understood it and he was the only one who understands what it means. btw i’m g too

The only thing that was beautiful about this was seeing our people leave that white supremacy called Christianity. Other than that it's disappointing to see them in this filth. Lord willing they come back to their heritage being a Hebrew Israelite and repent keeping God's laws and faith in Christ the black Messiah.
So as a Christian, I believe that we are ALL sinners and there are no sins that are worse than another one. I believe that a man sleeping with another man is a sin, the Bible makes that clear. I also believe that people will always be fallible by nature, we ALL deserve to be shown love and hating someone based on their sins is the opposite of the message Jesus has given us that read and understand the Bible. Some Christians give us all a very bad image and doing it in the name of Jesus disgusts me. If you’re gay you should know that you are loved through and through by every Christian that actually does have God in our hearts.
Some sins are worse, in the old and new testament.
I don't understand why people feel the need to be negative. Gosh I hope people get a life and leave us alone. Happy pride month everybody 🏳️🌈
Boy do I understand were THEY are coming from. Growing up gay in the south 30 years ago was INTENSE 😅 I'm kind of shocked I didn't turn out as a serial killer or something 😅
If anything I think people would’ve pressured you into $uicide. That sounds dark but that’s often the truth for people who are alienated and bullied for who they are. Glad you’re still here and kickin though.
Don’t let a church speak for God. He loves you and made you as you are ❤️ He is your greatest ally 🏳️🌈 Jesus is Love and chose you to be exactly where you are!
Happy Pride ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 God bless babies
@@basedchump it’s not about whether or not I believe it is a sin or not as man does not have the authority to decide what sin is. That’s God job. However, I will note that the Bible and Jesus in the scriptures are very explicit when it comes to what is sin Exodus 20 lists of the Ten Commandments which are very clear and direct as are Jesus’ teachings. So, now in the English Leviticus 20:13 reads “Man shall not lie with man, for it is an abomination” when for hundreds of years beforehand it read “Man shall not lie with young boys as he does with women, for it an abomination”
For more clarity, the German word used in the 16th century in place of homosexuality/arsenokoitai was Knabenschander which means “boy molester”

I truly feel so bad for every person that is going through that bad experience of being neglected and unloved for being LGBTQ+, and that has gone through it. I am ashamed that so many Christians and believers of God shame so many of you, but I want you to know that not all of us are like that. I hope as you wish the community was open minded with you, you are open minded with us ( not to jump the rope and think that we are not accepting of you and judge you for who you are ). I am Christian and I uspport you and love you and wish you the best on your journey, God called us to love our neighbors and that is what we should do.

Romans 4:2-8
[2]For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
[3]For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
[4]Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
[5]But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
[6]Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
[7]Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
[8]Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
How utterly heart breaking.
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Being trans and growing up Mennonite in Alabama it was rough......I’m sorry anyone else here went through it. You aren’t alone I love you guys I’m sorry ❤️
Hey. I know I’m not going to convert anyone in a RUclips comment section 😂 but I wanted to share a verse. Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me (Matthew 16:24). I’m sorry to hear about those in this video and others who have been abused and insulted because of their sexual orientation. That’s just wrong. In the Christian worldview, our identifies are found in Christ, not in our sexual orientation, wealth, or popularity. Jesus loves us enough to accept us as we are, but He loves us too much to leave us where we are. Being a Christian is truly a transformative experience for anyone into a new creation with new desires, that’s what it’s all about! I believe we can respectfully disagree without having to label Christians as being homophobic and transphobic. We can have productive conversations about biblical and personal values without resorting to name calling and sweeping categorical labels.

I grew up in the church and by 14 i knew the shi wasnt for me and it never would be !

I do have some agreements and disagreements: The Bible says that "If a man marries a man, they shall be stoned", so I don't think you should be a Christian and Gay. But I dont think that Homosexual people should be treated as inferiors, and I wouldn't treat one like that. Just like Jesus said, Love your Neighbor and Love your enemy.
Where in the bible does it say that. Just asking
@@arcaneshrimp5566 If you don't believe that being gay is a sin that means that you are prideful. The enemy has perverted everything that God has made and he has made it dirty and unholy. God made holy matrimony to be holy and pure between one man and one woman. The enemy has also perverted sex which is what God made for us to reproduce and to share between husbands and wife's and what did he do? He made Pornography. The LGBTQ community are confused and need Jesus because only with him you can be saved. Just because we sin it doesn't make it right, we are born with original sin but we have to be perfect in order to get to heaven because scripture says that nothing unclean will enter. Being gay is a sin when people act on it, it's worse when you know that it's in the Bible and that God condemns it. Sin even if Legalized by men is still a sin in the eyes of God.
The Bible doesn’t say gays should be stoned specifically, but it does say that for disobedient children (Deut. 21:18-21)
I am a Christian, melanite at my church we have a lot of LGBTQ+ members and we don’t think of them any different because we believe god loves everyone no matter what.
We need leafy back
imagine mixing anti christ with the christ himself.
@SevnLi no one is judging he’s calling them out for their sins !
That is true, such things only exist in your imagination.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, as well as pansexual and transgender. This is my experience: I came out when I Was 15 to my bishop and he immediately sent me to church- run conversion therapy. Ever since then I have been living a double life so the church still thinks I am straight and cis. I am planning on leaving the church as soon as I am 100% living on my own. It sucks because I do love a lot of things that they teach, but if they do not accept me, who needs them?
We should love everyone love isn't sex.
