You do a really great job of editing in an entertaining and comical way; I laughed so hard at you running through the rain to Savers just to find a bunch of Christmas and one sad Halloween item, lol. I’m working on putting together a Halloween Hunting/Thrifting video and so far the thrift stores have been really hit or miss - some have a ton out and others have almost nothing but there does seem to usually be a Christmas isle year-round 😑
thank you so much! It's hard when you AREN'T finding anything good, so I find going the humorous route helps keep people interested 😆 And I feel you! I honestly would much rather thrift than buy new halloween but sometimes the thrift stores are DRY 🥲
I feel you on the wanting everything but not wanting to actually buy all the things because you're a mindful and conscious consumer who knows that the overconsumption has gotten out of hand. Still glad you got the blanket, tho 👻. And yay Im so excited for crafts!!
Correct me if I’m wrong… every holiday we see all these coffee mugs….and I’d say like half of them there’s no way you can drink out of it it’s so thick at the rim.
Oh wow! I don’t know where in the country you are but in So. Cal the green Frankenstein ghost is nowhere to be found. It breaks my heart every time I walk into a TJ Maxx/HomeGoods/Marshalls and see zero franken-ghosts. It’s the 2nd year in a row that I’m desperately looking for it. And I go every single day to at least 2-3 different stores all over random locations. Sometimes I show up at opening time, sometimes around noon, sometimes in the afternoon. I’m so sad, and pissed off at the upsellers who keep scooping them up for resale because they have store manager friends and get the first dibs on goodies. I’m seeing it all the time, they go in long before the store opens and walk out before it opens with cart-fulls of stuff that you won’t find if you search the entire store for it. Resellers can all die, a slow and painful death before they get my money tho. Most of them sell items that break during mail delivery anyway. They suck at packing and they suck in general. Screw those a-holes, ripping off folks the way they are. They’ve no shame.
Picked up 2 spooky blankets a few weeks ago at TJMaxx! Was so excited because they're actually cotton and not microfiber. No static shock ❤
Whew….I was literally going to comment to run back for that blanket but then you did! WAHOOO! You used restraint for the stuff that was just ok but went for it with what you LOVE. That’s the such good balance. 👍🏻
I could tell you needed that blanket, was happy that you went back for it! And I agree about the mugs being too big, I've noticed that about Home Goods/TjMaxx, adorable mugs, but they're HUGE. Coffee gets cold before you can finish it. I have a big cauldron shaped one that I ended up using as a planter.

I love the mummy kitty standing with her paws up in the air…got to go get that…Oh and the Halloween plush that had orange/black/ green square pattern that little bit of Green, would tie in with the overall color of my house…But I don’t need another blanket also I already have a fall blanket with owls perched on branches down and fall colors but I don’t have a Halloween plush oh dear!,,,
Thank you for taking us along. I have several sizes of mugs. I like the big ones for soup and putting desserts in them. I know people traditionally eat say...pumpkin pie on a plate but I put a piece in the mug with dream whip...it's fun to find new ways to have things and I find with using syrups etc on say, ice cream in the mugs, it's less messy.
I use coffee cups as soup bowls, I no longer drink coffee out of mugs without a lid because it gets cold too quick lol
Your comedic timing makes the editing so great, and you have a wonderful sense of humor! Happy for you that you found that smaller MS ghostie-hoping that I am as fortunate as you to get one this year!

I have a HomeGoods and TJ maxx next to each other! The Home Goofs always has tons of Halloween while the TJ maxx hardly has anything Halloween! So glad you were able to get your ghost! Love it! 🤍👻🕷️🕸️🖤
I tried not to, but I also got a Halloween blanket this year, its a pale pink with ghosts and candy .

I went to my TJ Maxx today and the selection was tragic. That Frankenstein planter is amazing. If I find it, it's never getting packed away, that's year-round decor for me.

The most surprising thing you showed about homegoods is the reusable paper bag 😮 lol. The MS ghost is a great find, I personally don’t buy any plastic/resin items but I would have bought the large one. It is definitely a statement piece and it would look amazing next to a book shelf with one of the wicker witch hats on!

Sarah, I know EXACTLY what you mean by not finding things that everyone else is finding. I’m in South Dakota and I swear every store here resists putting anything other than summer out until the last possible moment! It’s SO frustrating when you see everything that is so cool, and your stores just don’t put things out as quickly as you want!

My Home Goods had 2 of the really large wicker spiders and they are really cool! I showed them in my recent video.
I would have gotten them but they are huge! I have such a small cottage I don’t have a spot for them.

I agree with you, mugs are too damn large these days. I use the big mugs for soup or pasta or mac and cheese.

If you ever want to enjoy a mug because it is cute but feel it is too large, buy a ceramic tile bit for a screw gun and turn it into a planter! You can still support small businesses, for the mug of your dreams.

Totally get the bat! Hang it on a wall in like the bathroom/kitchen or something and put miniature tombstones on it so it would function as a little shelf! And for mugs and other great Halloween stuff at a great price…TEMU!!! I got ALL of my camper, Halloween and fall decor in there.

The ghost you got is cute. The taller version looks a bit off with the height to width ratio. I don't have fomo for any of this stuff. 9 times outta 10, you will eventually find it. I wanted that Burlington ghost and I got it from joanns this year.
