A lot of shark action out there!😯
Hi Patty,
Spinners are always at that break.... they give a nice backdrop to the surf.
Today there were a LOT of 5' sharks running around the break with their fins up.
Probably Black tips which are always there as well, but today it was fins everywhere, maybe mating or a migration... super fun to watch them wander around.
Yikes! Lol heading to Portugal Tuesday!!
@@PLsupsurf Have a blast Patty.
Note... there has never been a shark attack in Portugal, so your all good there!!
Please say hi to my friends at the "Wall"!
Love your leisurely SUP videos. What camera equipment do you use to capture your surfing
Thanks Andy, I use SoloShot3 Optic65 tracking camera.
Smooth as always Rick 👌 😎
Winds been hammering us lately but maybe I'll take the hint and try my luck on a sunrise session, hopefully the bull sharks have a sleep in🤫
Hi Kingley... I have come to appreciate the recommendations about when it is "Shark Safe"
It keeps surfers out of the water until well after sunrise... so back home in Great White territory, I have a nice 2 hour session without crowds 🤗
Hey Rick I was just wondering what type of paddle you use?
Hi Matthew
I use a GenRation S81 Carbon paddle.
6.5" wide, 81 square inches
It has the best handle I have ever used. My favorite paddle by far.
The narrow blade has improved my stroke, quickened my cadence and makes it easier to catch waves.
If you want talk further about it or order one, please email me at:
supthecreek@gmail.com
Sweet rides Rick! Nice to have some shark company out there too
Thanks Dave!
There are several different shark behaviors to observe from the spinners to the Black Tips.... and one BIG shark that I saw cruise by inside me yesterday as I looked out to sea
Hi deb here queensland australia. Great session. We have waves at the moment. Getting much bigger by wednesday due to a cyclone again headed our way. Glad I have surfed nice waves last few days. Will be huge by wednesday.
Hi Deb
Well, you have some nice points to manage a big swell, so have fun!
Looks great...can't wait to get mine! Any word on the shipment due in April? And as always, inquiring minds want to know which spot this was. Cheers!
Hi Jeff, it was fun!!!
Call me and I'll share the location 🤗
Getting closer to knowing... but the ETA is not quite dialed in yet
Always a great pleasure to see your video Rick. Happy moment.
From Bordeaux 🍷🌊

thanks for the vibes! Warmup sharks for you to get you ready for the summer.
Hi Sean
ha ha... yeah, it was watching these sharks up close all the time, that put me at ease with all our Great Whites at home!
Looking good Creek!!
My quiver of The One is in need of a buddy soon☺️
I think that is worth a look. Come on down and try it.
Maybe we can meet back up where we surfed last time!
A happy man doing a happy thing!
True dat AP!!
I hope you are getting some waves as well!
Spinner dolphins Rick
Hi Chris,
They are spinner sharks..... I watch them in slo-mo on my videos all the time.
They are always at this break, and fun to watch.
from Oceana:
Spinner Shark
Carcharhinus brevipinna
"the spinner shark feeds unlike any other shark species by spinning out of the water in quick bursts of speed to catch a meal"
