  • This Hammond AO-35 was a fun project to convert for guitar, so jump on eBay and get one. Check out the Guitoligist channel where he goes through this amp for the complete details for the amp build. Cheers

Ron, I have a AO35 that I did the same thing with following Brad's video with a few changes. I'd like to add a MV so could you tell me what circuit you used?? Post phase inverter or pre?? Any help appreciated

Sure so the easiest one to do and it works pretty well it's the same one that I have on my amplifier which is a post phase inverter master volume type 3. Take a 1 meg audio taper pot. Connect a wire from center lug of the pot and the other end to pin 2 of the power tube. Take another wire to one of the other outside lugs of the pot and then to pin 2 on the other output tube. There will already be a connection on pins 2 but thats ok just connect the pot to those pins as well. This is for using el84 power tubes.

@@roncarter2188 Thanks, I drew up a schematic and I get it. I think there will be a difference in 'feel/sensitiviy' depending on which outside lug you connect to because of the audio taper. I'll mess around with it...maybe try a linear taper pot.
      Thanks again!!!

@@wallpapermusique So when you mount the pot that's when you'll need to decide on which outside lugs to use because that will determine when you turn it up or down if the volume goes up or down. That won't effect the tone or feel just the way the volume goes up or down. So if you turn it up and the volume goes down then just switch the one wire to the opposite lug. I recommend using temporary jumper wires with clips on them then you will know how to wire it with the correct lugs on the pot.

@@roncarter2188 Got it. I might still try a linear pot.
