Traveling to Spain For a Rare BMW E30 M3 and Touring an Insane Collection of Euro BMWs

- In todays action packed adventure, we travel to Pamplona Spain to visit our friend Diego at NorClasics to not only tour his impressive warehouse of some extremely rare Euro spec BMWs such as an M535i E12, an E36 M3 GT, E9 CSL, 2002 turbo, and much more. BUT also to hopefully close a deal on a very very special BMW E30 M3. Come along as we inspect and drive this M3, as well as check out some insane classic BMWs. I call this the Spain Special!

Euro M5 and M635csi came with the M88/3 286 hp motor. The U.S. M5 and M6 had the S38 256 hp motor.

S14 is greatest 4 banger ever. Also, E31 is Barbados Green Metallic (247). Have also seen this on an E38 on forums. unreal colour.

I had a black Sport Evo 20 years ago - AC79192. It was a stunning example, bought for £12,000. 😂 I did a deal for a 1973 3.0 CSL, now worth more than my house....
I had a 1980 E12 M535i in Sapphire blue about the same time. A friend has a green M3 GT and a proper LHD one with the special engine - the RHD UK ones used a stock Euro 3.0 M3 engine. He has/had lots of nice stuff like an Alpina B6S (M3 based), E30 325i Sport etc. I'm glad I could buy cars like that when they were still relatively inexpensive.

Have really enjoyed these Euro videos, you should drive an E30 up the Stelvio Pass next. Thanks to Diego too for allowing you to give us the tour and even start the E12 535i, which sounded super creamy when you revved it, far smoother than I expected, I felt sure it was going to be tappety but there was none of it. That 850Csi is crazy rare, just as it is... but when you add that Barbados green, it's probably 1/1 or 1/2 .... must be worth $200k++++

The 850CSi has a version of the M70/M73 called the S70b56, it is still 2 valves per cylinder, same overall design. But the displacement is increased to 5.6L, and it makes 375hp.

@@m3nameisjosh464 Fun fact: the VIN starts with WBS, (the VIN that M cars have) not WBA (normal BMW VINs.) It was made in the M factory, and was essentially the M8 they never made.

The E36 M3 GT is actually an S50B30, so it is the early european 3.0l engine. In europe early M3s had a 3.0l engine making ~280hp, and later got the 3.2l S50B32 with over 300hp. USA got the S50B30US, the 3.0l engine with ~240hp and later on the S52B32 3.2l with the same 240hp

My brother in the late 80s had an 85 B reg M5 the M535i was bellow the M5 in the range. What no mention of the Cossie , obviously Americans don't know how special Sierra Cosworths are and now very valuable in Europe particularly the UK.
Not a clue about the value of the car. I knew it was special but I only like BMWs😅🤣

Thanks man!! But we were on a family bike riding trip in the Italian country side. I was on a traditional bicycle, my sister was on an electric bicycle. My lazy ass was holding onto her for a free boost and i got too close clipped my bike on hers and went down, arm and hand got some bad roadrash. What i get for being stupid :(

That’s a wicked car and it’s genuine. They usually had the red plugs plus rubber running on either side of the edge of the bonnets(something few people know). Only the Sport Evos had this. 600 were produced in Plain Red (not missano red or brilliant red) and Jet black(not diamond black etc). Reason was for weight. Also front wings are slightly larger than normal e30 m3’s. Ran this for 25 years in total including an Evolution and a Ceccoto along with an e34 m5 Nurburgring spec. You are luck bro. Make sure to be mindful of e36 chain tensioner. This will need to be done, 💯% sometime in the future. Get all the parts you can as things thin out, heater matrix will be something you also need to bare in mind for the future, they do fail eventually. guaranteed. @@m3nameisjosh464 it’s never too late to learn about em haha. They aren’t the most common for sure, same as the Merkur Xr4ti (cheaper American version) basically German ford and German foxbody. I’ve got 2 of them here in illinois. One for parts and one for rally/drift car. Haven’t fully decided yet

How can you not know about the rival cars.
You need to get more knowledge on others cars as you could of gone into a bit of History of the 2 cars as rivals

I am a muscle car man through and through but still know about other cars.
M cars in that era sold in USA had less power than M cars sold in Europe and here in UK.
I would take 3 litre CSL out of the BMWs in that collection

@@m3nameisjosh464 Yes Sierra Cosworth was Homologated for racing so was the M3 , they raced on same track for titles in Britain and Europe.
Motorsport is important that is why M3s are collectable there racing pedigree it is History.
A RS500sold for half a million Pounds few months ago.
The 3 lites CSL was rival to Ford Capri's in Europe.
That is why it was strange walking past the cosworth as cosworths are most collectable Fords in Europe.
