Where does Jesus say it will be easy to follow Him? Jesus said to pick up your cross daily and follow Him. Luke 9:23-26 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. 25What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? 26Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. Luke 14:27-35,62 And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. 28 Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you30saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’ 31“Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? 32If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. 33In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples 34“Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? 35It is fit neither for the soil nor for for the manure pile; it is thrown out. 62Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

@@hampusbengtsson4580 How does scripture say we get the gift. Repent and believe. Acts 20:21 I (Paul) have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they MUST TURN TO GOD IN REPENTANCE and HAVE FAITH (believe) in our Lord Jesus. Repent and believe. Contrary to what some teachers are now teaching repentance isn't a work any more than believing is. Romans 4:4-5,16 Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. 5And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness.:16 THAT IS WHY IT DEPENDS ON FAITH, IN ORDER THAT THE PROMISE MAY REST ON GRACE AND BE GUARANTEED TO ALL HIS OFFSPRING -NOT ONLY TO THE ADHERENT OF THE LAW 👉BUT ALSO TO THE ONE WHO SHARES THE FAITH of Abraham, who is the father of us all" Abraham was justified by his 👉works, (but not works alone) but because he believed with faith he did the works that God required.👈 James 2:21-24 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? 22You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works; 23and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”-and he was called a friend of God. 24You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. Without works Abraham's faith would have been meaningless. Repentance and faith are two sides of the same coin. You cannot have faith without repentance and you won't repent without faith. Without both the coin would have no value. To say you believe without repentance is like saying you only need your right leg to walk rather than both. In Romans 4:5 his repentance/ Faith are counted for righteousness. We are saved by grace through repentance which is the consequence of faith. Paul does not contradict what he says in Acts about repenting of sin in Romans 4:4-5 Scripture must be kept in context.
I'd argue that about charasmatics/ evangelist.. If anything I think Calvinism is the closest you can get to following biblical truth and not emotionalism.

P a u l washer said, along with a guy named voddie, that a simple prayer of faith will not save you! When actual reality the Bible says whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!! I prayed a simple prayer of faith years ago and that prayer held me together all these years! And I'm still living for Christ! 🙏😊
@@gsman123You have to believe on Jesus alone for salvation. You should not go on sinning but the flesh can still sin. We should resist sin with God's help.
@@gsman123 If your intention is to continue to sin you are not honest with your prayer. But the problem is that you cannot stop sinning, independent of how much you would like to stop. Doing your best is good but it's not what saves you. You need to dress in the imputed righteousness of Jesus, and rest in His grace.
No he causes you to examine yourself. There's a difference. 2 Corinthians 13:5 Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you-unless indeed you fail the test?
Paul Washer is preaching James 1:18-25...which points out to 'be ye doers of the word ('of truth'), and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves'. Notice first verse 21. True faith will 'lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive in meekness the engrafted Word, which is able to save your souls'. Notice again: 'be ye doers of the word'...'not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work' (Ja.1:25, Jn.6:29). Believing on Christ 'is the work of God' in one's heart. Salvation consists of 'belief of the truth AND sanctification of the Spirit' (2Thes.2:13). This video deserves a "thumbs down" for dividing what God 'hath joined together' in Truth. James is using Numbers 9:6-14 as an example. In these verses 'dead body' is the Hebrew word for 'soul'. James 2:26 points this out: 'For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also'. Think about that...and then read Ja.3:13.
Good presentation in pointing out the inconsistencies of Calvinism Bob. In another video I watched earlier today, Washer was giving a message where he tells a young lady who is struggling and tormented that she thinks she lost her salvation, and after continuously repenting, doesn't get a response from Jesus. He tells her she has two choices, she can give up and go to hell, or she can go home and keep crying out to God,,, this ,,after she had been doing it I think for months??!!
Work out your salvation with fear and trembling... Paul was rite to tell her to keep praying. I think it would be horrible if he tried to convince her she’s saved when she might not be. Then she might truly be lost forever... like a lot of proclaimed “Christians” these days. They already think their saved when they know nothing about Christ or his work on the cross for sinners..
@@tommyanderson4992 no, I have to disagree,,, Paul Washer was not saying that at all. He was discounting the fact that she had made a true profession of faith in Jesus, and that she did truly believe in Him,, but she was being beat up by the enemy, with condemnation and lack of assurance, which I know from personal experience is a horrible thing to go through!.. instead of telling her to keep crying out ,,repenting,, he Paul should have told her and reassured her of her salvation and who she was in Christ Jesus a new creation in Christ Jesus sealed until the day of redemption.. she is what the Apostle Paul would call a weeker brother and or sister and needed reassurance.. not something that could drive her into a psychiatric ward..
@@jayheinz4624 how could you, or Paul Washer possibly know if that woman is truly saved ? this is a perfect example of how 2 people can watch the same exact video and see things completely different. Paul Washer is without a doubt a brother in Christ. I agree with his approach. You can go to any false church and there’s 100 people there that’ll tell you your saved if you recite a prayer once. We need more preachers that are willing to preach the word even when it’s offensive. The truth offends. The Gospel offends. It’s supposed to.
@jayheinz4624 A true believer only has doubts about salvation when they continue in the same sin(s) over and over. Washer is correct she needs to repent and continue to confess the sin asking for forgiveness and pray for deliverance. A true Christian will always repent, will always eventually return to God, and will always resume the struggle against sin. (1 John 1:9 ) Following Andrew Farley's and Ralph Yankee Arnold false teaching will lead you to the lake of fire.
One of the main reasons I quit Calvinism is because I'm too lazy. Their doctrines are exhausting to keep up with. Once I read this verse, "Be still and know that I am God", I understood. God did ALL THE WORK so I can find rest in Him.
Amen brother. I felt the same way when I started attending reformed Church...Man, this is too complicated for a simpleton like me. I'll just trust the words of the Lord and believe He did it all for me so I can rest in the assurance that the Lord Jesus finished the work of salvation andI didn't need to throw in my two cents!
You missed what he was saying. He’s saying a true conversion bears the fruit of good works and continuous repentance, not that that is a requirement beforehand for salvation. Even the demons believe that Christ is Lord, but we all know they don’t have the Holy Spirit indwelling them.

If you fall short of the test repent and believe. Cry out to God for mercy until a work is done To test yourself to see if you're a real Christian read 1John. 1John 3:3-10 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure. 4Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother. 1 John 1:5-7 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all 6If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. What does it mean to walk in darkness? A style of life.If we say we are a Christian and our lifestyle contradicts everything God has told us about Himself and His will we are a liar. If our lifestyle contradicts God's character then claiming to be a Christian is a lie. Not talking about unscriptual sinless perfection. Even a very mature Christian is susceptible to sin. Someone that has truly been born again will be sensitive to sin and they will be led to repentance and confession to that sin. 1 John 1:8-10 IF we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 IF we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 IF we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. When was the last time you were broken over a sin? If you are sensitive to sin it will lead you to confession.
Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Either grace teaches or it doesn't. If you receive a gift so amazing as eternal life, it will change your life. If you become indwelt with the Holy Spirit, you won't be the same person.
Lot, King Saul, King Solomon, Demas, and the Corinthians were all born again, yet they gave no evidence of it in their lives. 1 Kings 11:4 even states, " For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father." There is no record in Scripture of Solomon repenting of his idolatry before he died. The same is true of many in the Corinthian Church. Believers who persist in sin will certainly be disciplined by God (Heb. 12:8). They may even be chastened to the point of physical death. Moreover, they will also forfeit eternal rewards when they stand to give an account of their lives at the Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Cor. 5:10). However, since the believer in Jesus Christ has already passed from death unto life and currently possesses eternal life (John 5:24), there is no possible way for them to end up in hell It is only those who believe in Jesus Christ that receive everlasting life, not those who "behave" in Him. Besides, if keeping commandments or serving Christ had anything to do with where we spend eternity, we would all be doomed. James 2:10 says, "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."
"There are people in this room who will be monsters in hell" That doesn't even make sense. Some people are transformed into monsters when they go to hell? Try finding THAT in the Bible...
One of the scariest gospels is the repent and believe gospel that is so popular. People like Ray comfort preach this and they backload the gospel. Romans 11:6 says it’s either grace or works but it is not both

@Christ.did.it.all712 Obviously Paul assumes the person has repented of sin as he too preached. Acts 20:21 21I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus. Very clear Paul says they must Repent of sin and have faith in Jesus. Here Paul recounts his conversion with Jesus Acts 26:18-20 to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, SO THAT THEY MAY RECEIVE FORGIVENESS OF SINS and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’ 19“So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven. 20First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they should REPENT AND TURN TO GOD [Repent and believe) and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds. Jesus and Peter said the same Repent of sin and believe. Throughout scripture Repentance always precedes Faith.

@Kman. Calvinism is a doctrine straight out of hell, period. But if you think that someone lives the same after being born again then you call God a liar. 1 John 3:6-10. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Paul Washer has always confuses me. Thank God has put me straight. I rest in Jesus arms I love the assurance I have in Christ. Thank you for your video
I refuse to listen to Paul Washer. He seems to enjoy terrifying Christians with his false gospel. How much fear and trauma has his messages bought upon true but vulnerable believers.
Interesting that Washer has an invitation at the end of his message at all. Is it for the regenerate only? How does Washer know one is regenerate? Is there an in-between state between regeneration and salvation? If salvation immediately follows regeneration, then an invitation is not needed at all. Thank God for John 3:16... whosoever _believes_ on Him shall have everlasting life. No pretzel logic needed.
I'm not a Calvinist, but I think Washer would say - he doesn't know who the elect are in the room. If God deals with their heart and they repent, they are the elect.
It sounds like you're just really confused about what Paul is saying. Only God can change a person so only the person that responds to Paul's pleading is someone who responds to God. Paul doesn't speak from his own wisdom but from God's word. The only one who asks for repentance is someone who has already been affected by God's Spirit. Paul is the instrument that God uses to reach His sheep. Also he doesn't put any qualifications on going to heaven except for grace through faith. It's just that God is so powerful that through the life of a believer they will do work. There has never been any true believer has has never done good works, not that it saves them, but it is the outcome of saving faith. I hope that clarifies. He's not being (or trying) to be contradictory but he is pleading that they repent (but first that God grants them repentance).
Paul Washer didn't say that we have to work and work and work he said that God works and works and works in and through us. That's why God gets all the glory in the end for all the works that He does in and through us.
Nope. MANY times he has said if you dont have works you arent saved. On one hand he says salvation is by grace through faith alone, then he says you have to work, cry out to God, and do everything but believe the Word. I have lots of regrets but not as many as Washer will have in the Day of Christ at the Bema seat.

Paul Washer is right. The easy believism is a false teaching. Jesus said we must remain grafted in and not separate from him. WORK out your salvation with FEAR AND TREMBLING. THE ROAD IS NARROW AND FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT. IT IS ONLY BY THE GRACE AND MERCY OF GOD THAT ANYONE WILL BE SAVED.
@@tommyanderson4992 Romans is written to the already born again brethren in a sanctification Discipleship setting . Not an Evangelistic context unlike the book of John explicitly framed as Evangelistic (20:31) . The purpose statement is undeniable . John 1:12-13,3:1-18,4:10-14,5:24,6:28-47,11:23-27,20:31 clearly articulate the object and content of one's faith whereby one is born again with irrevocable Everlasting Life . "Calling on the Lord" is a prerogative of the born again believer , to be delivered from temporal wrath . Further , confession with the physical mouth is works , not faith . "Saved" simply means delivered . Saved from what (?) is determined by context . 10:9-14 makes it clear that belief is first : "How then can they call on the one they have not believed in?" Cart and Horse need proper alignment . Many will say "in that day , Lord , Lord..." So , simply saying "Jesus is Lord" clearly isn't an Evangelistic mandate whereby one is born again . Nor is belief in His resurrection similiarly the object and content of one's faith whereby one is born again with irrevocable Everlasting Life. The disciples were born again (John 1 & 2) well before understanding His Redemptive work & His intrinsic attributes (John 20) .
At 3:01, you said: *"you must experience holiness in this life in order to get into the coming kingdom."* Sir, this isn't a contradiction, nor is it even a Calvinistic understanding, but a Biblical one. Even Adrian Rogers, who was no friend of Calvinism, said "If your faith hasn't changed you, then it hasn't saved you." This is, after all, was the point that James was making when he said that "faith without works is dead." You are saved by faith alone, but not by a faith that IS alone. Works always accompany faith as an attestation to its genuineness.
When you’ve truly come under grace, the new birth.. not only do you have complete forgiveness of every sin.. but when you come in to Grace, sin will not rule over you anymore.. because your not under the old covenant law.. but your under the new covenant.. One way you can find out is.. I’ll present this one verse to you, and you give me the answer.. pay attention to this, Romans 6:14 (KJV) 14 For sin shall not have dominion [rule] over you: for [because] ye are not under the law, but under grace. So, two questions… 1. what is the evidence, proof that you’re under Grace? - Sin does not rule over me… Correct! 2. Next question, what is the evidence or proof that you’re still under the law? - Sin rules over me! Absolutely right.. law is old covenant… what is the proof that a lot of people reading this or hearing this are under the old covenant? Sin rules over you… Sin rules over you. We’re not talking about sinless perfection… (1 John 1:8) nobody is sinless perfect… Christ alone is… there’s a difference, between falling hundred times a day, walking in sin… and making a mistake.. messing up… and being grieved in chastised as it says in Hebrews, being brought back to the narrow path… Beloved, Being redeemed makes you zealous of good works… in other words, you have a burning passion of fire that says, I wanna serve you, I want to obey you, I want to do good works, Oh Lord, I want to serve you… That’s the mark of the New Birth, not only absolute complete forgiveness of every sin no matter how dark. But, Redemption from a disobedient lifestyle.. Redemption from your old cultural lifestyle… sin does not rule you… So, when sin rules over you beloved, you are under the old covenant, you are under law… you have not understood grace at all…
You don’t understand the 2 natures of the believer. Sin has no dominion over the new birth (the new nature) for it is sinless born of God the moment you trust Christ alone as your saviour. The old nature that is our flesh is wretched and has no good thing in it! If true Christian’s we’re to have good works as proof than who would be saved. Look at the churches like Corinth with many carnal Christian’s doing sins that the Bible called worse than the gentiles yet they were believers and saved! Works may justify men but not before God Romans 4:1-5 KJV
It does not say ' you will not see the Lord.' It says in Hebrews 12 ' Pursue peace with all men (not God) and holiness, without which NO ONE will see the Lord.' Collossians 3 goes into how we put off wrong attitudes ' wrath, slander , evil speaking ' etc and to put on right attitudes ' love kindness and humility ' and that links to Hebrews 12 ' pursue peace with all men and holiness ' If we are growing in holiness by showing the character of Jesus by the way we live that's how people see him. But our holy living does not get us into heaven, rather it's Christ's holiness and righteousness imputed to us that guarantees we will be in heaven and see Jesus Hebrews 10v10 ' And by that will WE HAVE been sanctified through the offering of the BODY OF JESUS CHRIST ONCE FOR ALL.' 2Corinthians 5v21 ' He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in him. '
yes but the only holiness we can attain is imputed holiness as a free gift from Jesus to us when we believe. Nobody is capable of attaining holiness by their works.
@thomasmarsden2276 Hebrews 12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and TO BE HOLY Without HOLINESS, NO ONE WILL SEE THE LORD. This verse alone destroys the false message that hoe a believer lives is irrelevant to being saved.
@@2Chronicles714_ never said how we live is irrelevant. How we live does matter, not for salvation (unless you believe salvation depends on lifestyle and not by grace through faith) rather how we live certainly does matter for being a witness for Jesus which is what it says and means - Hebrews 12v14' pursue peace with all men (not God) and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.' It does not say ' ... without holiness you will not see the Lord.' Our salvation/peace with God does not depend on lifestyle but by faith - Romans5v1 ' Therefore having been justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.' Hebrews 12v14 is talking about pursuing peace with all 'men'. We are saved/justified through faith alone in Jesus - Romans 3v20-28, John 6v28-47, Ephesians 2v8-9 plus many more that destroy the lie that we are saved by works/our performance. You cannot therefore twist Hebrews 12v14 to mean salvation depends on how we live as many scriptures clearly tell us its through faith alone. Scripture has to be backed by scripture amd scripture can NEVER contradict scripture
You have misunderstood the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints. A saint once saved by grace is sanctified and perseveres to the end by that very grace. He does not persevere *in order to be saved* but rather he perseveres *because* he is truly a child of God. So you see perseverance is a manifestation of true saving grace through faith, not a means of attaining salvation. There is no contradiction in anything Washer said here…only a misunderstanding by the presenter.
there is no guarantee that a believer will persevere to the end of their life in fatih or works. The Bible specifically says that if we believe not, he abideth faithful. He cannot deny himself. POTS means that nobody can be sure they are saved , you have to "hope for the best" that you get in. The Bible says we can know for sure right now. And that's because perseverance is not required. only a one time moment of belief in the gospel.
Mr. Washer presents teachings that are contradictions, false, confusing, unbiblical and lead people to doubt and fear. Thank you GES for bringing to people the message of Life, precisely and clearly.
Yep...I was one of them. That's how calvinism gets you. It tells you warm fuzzy things to get you hooked and then it tells you the opposite of those things to confuse you and make you think you need calvinism to be saved. It causes extreme grief and anxiety and fear (not biblical fear of god). Like he's some terrible tyrant who is constantly glaring down at us.
@bugsocsollie1694 The major theme of the entire Bible is God calling on a fallen sinfulled man to humble himself and acknowledge he is a hopeless sinner in need of a Savior. Repentance means that you realize that you are a guilty vile sinner in the presence of God,that you deserve the wrath and punishment of God. That you are hell bound. It means that you begin to realize that this thing called sin is in you and that you long to get rid of it,and that you turn your back on it in every shape and form you renounce the world, whatever the cost, the world in its mind and outlook as well as its practices and you deny yourself and take up your cross and go after Christ. Your nearest and dearest and the whole world may call you a fool or say you have religious mania. You may have to suffer financially, but it makes no difference. That is repentance. It becomes an ongoing way of life. The repentance that starts at salvation starts a progressive lifelong process of confessing sin. 1 John 1:9 we go on confessing our sin. The active continuous attitude of repentance produces the poverty of the spirit, the mourning, the meekness that characterizes true believers in the Beatitudes of Matthew 5. Repentance produces a new way of life, not just a different opinion of Christ,a new way of life. Those who heard Jesus preach knew what He was calling for. He wasn't asking them just to change their opinion about Him. They knew what Isaiah said when Isaiah preached. This is what Isaiah 1:16 says:wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight, stop doing wrong.17 Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.18 "Come now, let us settle the matter", says the Lord."Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you wash yourselves,if you make yourselves clean the progression begins internally and then manifests itself in attitudes and actions. Isaiah 55:6-7 Seek the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon him while He is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way,and the unrighteous man his thought:and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy on him;and to our God,for He will abundantly pardon. He'll pardon when the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man forsakes his thoughts and turns to the Lord. 2 Chronicles 7:14 IF my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS then I will hear from heaven and FORGIVE THEIR SINS and heal their land. We absolutely must repent and believe. A claim of belief alone will not save.
2 Chronicles, i am familiar with mr. Washer's teachings. May i ask you, which gospel are you referring to ? There are references to many in the new testament. Which gospel ?
Salvation is available to all. God does not arbitrarily pick and choose who goes to Heaven and who goes to hell. This is where Washer and Calvinism, reformed theology, is biblically inorrect. WHO are the elect? Whosoever will!
When I started to become curious about the Bible a couple years ago at 43yo, I found a reformed church because I heard all these great things about John MacArthur and assumed if I found a church endorsed by his ministry then I would be in the right place. Eventually, a few people sent me Paul Washer’s “assurance of salvation” speech as I struggled to understand how to be saved, and because I lacked discernment and was new to the Bible, it greatly discouraged me and hindered my growth. In the two reformed churches I was attending, repentance from sin before coming to Christ was taught. I was told I had to give up certain sins and clean up my life to be forgiven. Needless to say it left me feeling utterly hopeless and I continued like this for a couple of years living in a state of impending terror. Less than two weeks ago I discovered Andy Woods and I now believe Jesus paid it all, past, present and future. I am not worthy, yet our gracious and loving Jesus still gave me a reason to believe and be accepted because he is faithful and cannot lie. After all the reformed brainwashing of faith+works, this free grace doctrine is still sinking in. I assumed God hated me and wanted me to earn my salvation, but it’s the exact opposite. What a wonderful and ever so patient and kind Lord is all I can say!!!
I dont know how I got here or what you believe but what that man said was 100 percent contradiction wow He said you can not seek after God you can not cry out to God unless God takes that stone heart out of you then turns around and says if anybody dont know God cry out to God save me wow and he says at the end will you believe in Christ will you repent everything this man said is a contradiction wow
This channel just demonstrates how little you understand sanctification, and how little you listen to others. Nor do I understand orthodox Christianity.
sanctification is a one time event, not a lifelong process. We are sanctified at the moment of belief. We do not need to perfect the flesh, that is impossible and pointless.
Some people are very good at public speaking. This skill to speak publicly can give a false impression of knowledge and mastery of a topic. The two concepts of public speaking and knowledge can both exist in someone, but they don't necessarily come hand in hand.
And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who BECAME to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, - 1 Corinthians 1:30 Notice “became”- past tense, already done… And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ… for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. - Philippians 1:6, 2:13… It appears to me that it is God who’s doing all the work & my job is to simply follow His lead… Men always want to make it hard work so they and others can ‘humbly’ boast on themselves… Jesus condemned the Pharisees for laying burdens on the people, reminding us His yoke is and His burden light…
There is also this verse. *THE WORD OF GOD WORKS EFFECTIVELY WITHIN THOSE WHO BELIEVE* *1 Thessalonians 2:13 (nkjv)* _13 For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe._ To those who believe, more will be given, but to those who do not believe, what little they have, will be taken.
Romans 10:17 Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God what he said was backwards he says you can not hear God I think the man is confused
It gets worse than that. Washer has taught that if you persist in a particular sin, God walks away from you. How do you like that little gem of ignorance? I believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not the gospel of Paul Washer.
The gospel is simple repent and have faith. Acts 20:21 I (Paul) have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.
@@davidchupp4460 If believers have automatically repented the why did Jesus,John the Baptist Peter and Paul say repent and believe? Why even say repent at all if all that is required is to claim to believe?
@@2Chronicles714_ because multiple places it says believe only including the entire book of John. Other places it’s repentance mentioned without the word belief. We don't live under the law we live under grace! We're guilty of all if we break one law! Grace is unending forgiveness we didn't earn, and as long as we pray forgiveness we are saved! But we got to repent as well! I wouldn't want anything keeping me from God daily! Knowing Christ daily is like knowing a good wife daily! 🙏🎆⚖️😊
It’s part of his act to make him seem more pious and righteous. He’s all works/works/works. If righteousness was the key most Mormons live more pious that Christians but they’re not saved. The Gospel is to believe, not work
@@Trey_Alexander he backloads works. The Bible says you must “believe” for salvation and that’s it. Washer says you must have works to prove you’re saved which is totally false. Works prove nothing. Mormons, JW’s etc have works but they’re not saved. You’re saved if you believe the Gospel, nothing else is required. Christ paid it all.
Paul Washer made his Christian wife doubt she was saved, and then he got her saved again his way. He has a lot of issues and has literally caused multitudes of believers to have mental health issues from his teachings. Very confusing ministry because he is always making people look to their works to know if they're saved, but he will never tell you how much is enough to know if you are saved. Thus, you remain easily manipulated.
Could someone explain to me biblically the place of good works in the Christian life ? I already know I am not saved truth my works but by faith alone, but I would like some clarification concerning that. Thank you for your time.
Terrible and unbiblical analysis of Paul Washer! Taken out of context completely! Please read John 3 and Ezekiel and you can understand the Gospel Paul is preaching if our Lord opens your eyes! Regeneration always proceeds faith! Faith and repentance are gifts!
The Bible is full of mysteries that, from the stand point of human rationalism, appear like contradictions-- 3 Persons who are 1 God, the God-man possessing 2 natures though He is one person, and man's total inability to obey God from the heart yet his complete responsibility to do so. Washer is not a hyper-Calvinist but a biblical Calvinist who holds to a series of biblical paradoxes some regard as contradictions. He believes in God's sovereignty in salvation, man's innate deadness in sin and inability to believe without the work of the Spirit, but he also believe that all are responsible to believe, should be commanded to believe and be encouraged to believe through the announcement of God's promise that whosoever believes will be saved. Some who do not understand his theology paint him as if he were a hyper-Calvinist, and he is not. In fact, hyper-calvinists hate his preaching as they hated the preaching of Spurgeon, because of the full and free invitation he gave to sinners to look to Christ for salvation.

John 6 28 “What can we do to perform the works of God?” they asked. 29 Jesus replied, “This is the work of God-that you believe in the One He has sent.”
Personally, I disagree on the first point and would say that you misunderstand what faith is truly along with most of the church. To explain hopefully briefly, we automatically live out what we truly believe. If you say that a lifeboat will save you if your ship is sinking, but then refuse out of fear to get in one when your ship is sinking, I'm going to say that you don't really believe that lifeboats save. This is the difference between saving faith and dead faith that can't save anyone as James refers to it. Hebrews 11 clearly lays out faith (trusting God's words) as something that causes action. By trusting, people suffered, endured, overthrew armies, offered sacrifices, and even died. By trusting, Peter walked on water having trusted first without feeling "firm" water first, no proof. His miraculous sign would never have happened if he didn't believe without doubting. In fact, the second he focused on the waves, his miracle went away because his faith went away. This is what true faith is. We as a church better start believing the God who cannot lie and is trustworthy. On the second, I do not agree in the total depravity of man, but that no one is righteous on their own and all have fallen short of the goal.
If works and sanctification were automation, then Paul wouldn't have written about 50% of his letters. He constantly admonished believers to "walk worthy" to "put off the old man" to "cease from sin." Why would he have needed to write those exhortations if sanctification was so automatic? It's not automatic. There is "conversion" and then there is "discipleship." Washer confuses these two things and in essence starts adding works as a condition for conversion.
@@stickmanbarr I didn't say that sanctification is instant. I was explaining faith which is something we grow in. As we learn to trust more, how we react to the world changes naturally. The point of action is the "test" of faith's quality. Words are cheap. We find out what we truly believe when we act and sometimes it requires a sacrifice. Peter walking on the water is a really good example. He believed that if Jesus said it, it would happen. His faith was in Jesus' character and power and the reliability of his word. That's why he said, "If it is you, tell me to come to you on the water." He had to have faith like a child; simple, not laboriously mental in human understanding (because walking on water does not make sense). If Jesus says it, then it's 100% firm. Then his faith caused him to act. He stepped out on the water and THEN his miracle appeared. He was fine until he started looking at the waves and wavered OUT of faith back into human understanding and that's when his miracle went away. If he didn't really trust Jesus' words, he never would have stepped onto the water, would he? This is what we need to do with ALL of Jesus' words: read them and ask ourselves, "do I REALLY believe him and does my life show it"? This is what it means when the Bible says salvation is for those who have put their faith in Jesus. Not that we just mentally agree that Jesus died for us and that his blood covers our sin. That is not faith. This way of understanding faith explains how when Jesus says, "those who believe my words AND OBEY THEM have eternal life". It's not saying works save us, it's saying genuine faith acts and that kind of faith will save us, the same way Abraham's faith acted and every faithful person in Hebrews 11 acted as well as throughout the Bible acted on their trust in God. Real, genuine faith is proven to be genuine saving faith when it acts. If it doesn't act, it's not saving faith. So you see, salvation is by faith (nowhere does the Bible say faith alone in this context), but only saving faith, not dead faith that doesn't act. Is that more clear?
The unregenerate can respond to the gospel, but until God has regenerated him, he cannot respond to God himself. Paul in delivering the gospel, is pleading for the audience to respond to the gospel, the message, the good news.
Amen Paul Washer. Amen! Evidence of a changed heart is a changed person! The Lord loves me and corrects me and prompts me to change my ways every single day! You’d have to ignore much of scripture to deny this… to think that God allows you to believe in His Son, checks you off His list and forgets about you. He is the true Shepherd, the sheep know His voice and they follow Him closely for safety and instruction. He is perfecting us over time. Preparing us for whatever job He intends for each of us to do during eternity. I encourage anyone here to go to the Bible itself. Ask the Lord’s Spirit to guide you and He will show you the truth. I pray this for you in Jesus’ holy and mighty name. Amen.
The word is full of people who didn't change. How much change, by the way? Where's the mercy, the forgiveness, and the understanding that people aren't robots and everyone's at different places in growth and understanding. This makes you a judge of people's works from a half law that you don't even meet. People can have 0 "change" and still be saved. Because what is change? Who gets to define..you?
@kirkdennis830 Your comment - "Man has no free will before God." My comment - if man had no free will, then the following exhortations would not be in Scripture: Joshua 24:15 - And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, CHOOSE you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:22 - Then Joshua said, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have CHOSEN to serve the Lord.” “Yes, we are witnesses,” they replied. The word "chosen" in Joshua 24:22 indicates that man has free will and indicates the action taken by the people as a result of the exhortation given in Joshua 24:15. Deuteronomy 30:19 - 19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore CHOOSE life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Again, the word "choose" indicates that God has given us FREE WILL. Judges 10:14 - 14 Go and cry unto the gods WHICH YE HAVE CHOSEN; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation. Ezra 8:28 - And I said unto them, Ye are holy unto the Lord; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a FREEWILL offering unto the Lord God of your fathers. Psalm 119:108 - Accept, I beseech thee, the FREEWILL offerings of my mouth, O Lord, and teach me thy judgments. Isaiah 66:3- 3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have CHOSEN THEIR OWN WAYS, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
Bob, you are right. But I still think there's nothing wrong with the 5 points of CALVINISM. I find no wrong because that's the Gospel. That's because I was saved before I knew what CALVINISM is about. Till our last breath, our flesh cannot serve God. That's why we are under that GRACE. If our flesh would leave us, our soul which is already SANCTIFIED with JESUS' blood (Hebrews 10:10), won't need GRACE anymore. To me, Grace is grace because there is an opposition our sinful flesh. Despite wearing flesh, since Grace is given to us, we can say with all BOLDESS, that we are REDEEMED, we are MADE RIGHTEOUS; not for one day, two days..but for ETERNITY...having obtained ETERNAL REDEMPTION...TO BE ABLE TO SAY WE ARE ETERNALLY RIGHTEOUS is powered by FAITH that came to us from God's Holy Spirit.Yes, to be able to take rest in the FINISHED work of Christ is Grace.. to be able to have the FAITH & to have the courage to confess that we have been made HOLY AND RIGHTEOUS is sure GRACE. ~~a brother from North East India 🇮🇳.

@@MrJeffreyDR This is the answer to your question you asked me about on this ruclips.net/user/shortsBmFy3DCSO1E?si=KkTq9w5-WlV3OeAy It wouldn't let me post this there. Bob says turning from sin is works. Acts 26:20 First to those in Damascus, and in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they SHOULD REPENT AND TURN TO GOD AND DEMONSTRATE THEIR REPENTANCE BY THEIR DEEDS. Paul is clear we are to repent of our sins and turn to God ( this can only happen by Faith ) and just like John the Baptist said before him show evidence (fruit) of your repentance by your works. (Conduct/lifestyle). So first we obtain grace by repentance which is the consequence of faith and then God will start the process of purifying us away from sin and we will go on to do good works for the glory of God. We won't become sinless and will still stumble at times but as our walk with Christ grows we will become more sensitive to sin. Titus 2:11-14 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. i have asked this elsewhere before about something that has been bugging me. what if 'saved by grace' means no matter what we do, we cannot work our way to heaven. meaning, we live by faith in Jesus and walk in faith.. but then whether we are allowed into heaven or not is yet to be decided on whether God will be gracious to us? catholics seem to believe this, they do all they can, hoping to make it to heaven i think. so my question is basically what if at the end of the day, it is the grace of God whether we can receive that? if God chooses to be gracious or not even if we have faith? but without faith we are doomed, with faith, there is a chance? i have heard others answer this but i wanna hear you guys view. thank you
Grace =!Divine Influence on the heart Faith = Heart yielded to God’s influence Salvation = Total inward transformation of the heart, ie. “new creation” of 2Cor 5:17 works = rules, regulations, rites, rituals (ie. Agree. It’s based on works, not grace. I don't follow washer at ALL. However, there is tension in the gospel message. God wants us to come to HIM, BUT if you do come,---- HE absolutely chose you
Regeneration is not intellectual acceptance that there is a God, you are a sinner and you would like to not go to hell. It is god creating a new man who is no longer a slave to sin and actually seeks to please God out of love not fear. Brother Paul is not preaching works, he is describing the Christian life that actually produces fruit, as Matt 5 says, you will know them by their fruit. I honestly wonder why this type of message is so popular (decisional regeneration and that the Christian life is as easy as merely believing there is a God) is it that you guys think you can actually be a Christian and continue to enjoy your sin? Perhaps many of you have never actually battled with the flesh and don't truly know how depraved you truly are?
No, we never said that salvation is by acknowledging God's existence. That's a strawman and if it were true then universalists would be right, because according to Romans 1 everyone knows God exists. One is saved by believing on Jesus, by trusting in him alone. Acts 16:31, John: 5:24 Paul Washer was preaching a works based salvation. Everything he was saying was in the context of salvation, and what one must do to be saved. And one is not saved by works. Romans 3:28:Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith APART from works of the law. I assume you meant to say Mathew 7, not 5. Verses 15-20, you used verse 20 to say you will know them by their fruits. Verse 15 gives the answer as to who "them" is. False prophets. The fruit is what they say, and you can judge whether one is a true or false prophet based off of what they say. No, this teaching is not common. Washers teaching, and more hardcore works based salvations, especially Roman Catholicism, Lordship-salvation, and calvinism are way more common. Also, like I said before, you are using a strawman to say we preach " one is saved if they think God exists". Learn what you are debating against before you actually debate it. You accuse us of "loving our sin". One, that sounds an awful lot like the accusations Paul got for preaching faith alone. Romans 3: 7-8: For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner? And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just. Two, I for one don't believe one should continue in sin. Romans 6 speaks on this. However, it is not a salvific issue. Rather, whether or not the saved man continues in sin or not is for discipleship, progressive sanctification, and service, and NOT for salvation. Washer wasn't preaching it in that context. It was in a salvific context. And again, it is a false accusation to say none of us have fought the flesh. I for one used to be under the false gospel "repent of your sin", and would fight against the flesh, until I got to the point where I saw that I was just a sinner who needed Jesus to save me. It is still important for the saved person to live a "good" life and walk after the sporit instead od the flesh, but it's a SHOULD, not a must . I still confess and repent of my sin now that I'm saved, so don't accuse me there. It is not salvific though. I'm saved still whether or not I keep repenting of my sin. One is saved by having faith in Jesus ALONE. John 5:24: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. And once one is saved they are permanently saved, if not Jesus lied. John 11:25-26: Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
Only way into His Kingdom is a 100% level of righteousness that "exceeds the Scribes and Pharisees" , who Washer clearly has as his ideological mentors . That "righteousness" is imputed only to those who have believed in Him for His doubtless Guarantee of Everlasting Life , apart from perseverance till death in an unknowable level (%) of hopefully good enough obedience/fruit/behavioral performance (works) , as Washer so clearly teaches . Gotta be like a child instead , who's not looking to one's performance , but rather to the One who finished all the work of Redemption that His endless Gift can be totally apart from any form of self agrandizement , or boasting of any sort (Ephesians 2:8-9 ; Romans 3:20-5:11,11:6 ; Titus 3:5 ; Phillipians 3:9 ; book of Galatians) . Jesus "rejoiced greatly in the Spirit" , thanking the Father that He hides from the "wise and intelligent" , what He reveals to the little "babes" ; totally open to His merit free Gift from the Loving Giver of Life who forever quenches the thirst for eternity with one sip of His Water , without cost .
Thank God for faithful teachers such as Paul Washer! What he teaches is consistent with Scripture! The easy way to explain these apparent contradictions and inconsistencies is your piecemeal presentation of Washer, Calvin, and the true Gospel. Your heart would not be moved to call out for God’s grace unless he had first called you. We work out our salvation, because Christ completed the work of justification and the Holy Spirit is completing the work of sanctification. We do good works, because God has prepared them beforehand that we would walk in them. ALL by Grace (God doing) THROUGH faith (us doing, as faith without works is dead). Not inconsistent, it’s truth; though it seems to be foolishness to the worldly man.
@thomasmarsden2276 Not only must we confess sin,(1 John 1:9) but we must forsake it. Run away from it. One old definition of repentance is to leave the sin I've done before and show I've earnestly grieved by doing it no more. If a man is genuinely born again, all old things are passed away, all things have become new( 2 Corinthians 5:17) Too many today are preaching a perverted gospel to make it as palatable as possible. They give them a shot of love and grace without any warning of a looming judgment of hell for any who think because of grace they can continue living no different than before. Those who believe that a change of conduct [Repenting of sin] is works are making our Lord's death on the cross meaningless He didn't die for sins to give a green light to live like a demon. A rebirth in Jesus means a new heart, a new mind, a new spirit, a new person If you love anything more than Jesus, it's an idol. If Jesus preached the way many do today, they wouldn't have crucified Him
@@2Chronicles714_ what you call a perverted gospell is ' lordship salvation' no where does scripture say ' repent of sins( stop sinning) before you can trust in Jesus for salvation. Jesus did not say to the criminal on the cross, ' have you repented of this or that, are you sorry for this or sorry for that' no once the criminal on the cross acknowledged he was a sinner and that he needed a Saviour he called on Jesus and Jesus IMMEDIATELY accepted him. Your clearly talking about false gospell to put wrong conditions on people before they can come to Christ for salvation, the same false gospell that Washer, Comfort and Macarthur teach. I strongly believe EVERY believer should aim to turn away from sin and aim to live like Jesus- Romans 6v11 , Ephesians 5v1. But the point I'm making is that only one can do that if they have been born again, not before. Salvation is through faith in Jesus alone and not by how good you are at turning from sin, amd a believer no matter how much sin they have a struggle with can have perfect assurance of salvation - 1John 5v10-13 '... these things I write to you who BELIEVE in the name of the Son of God that you may KNOW that you have eternal life.' Romans 4v5 ' Now to him who worketh NOT but BEILIEVETH in him who justifies the ungodly, his FATH is counted for righteousness.' We all grow at different paces and it is not for us to judge if someone is saved or not by how much progress they are making or by how much they have changed. Trusting in Christ and his redemptive work on the cross alone makes one a christian. Yes the cross frees us from the power of sin so we can live in victory (as every believer should strive to do) Romans 6v1-11 but it also frees us from the penalty of our sins- Hebrews 10v14, Romans 5v9. And those who have simply believed the gospell/ trusted in Jesus and his work on the cross alone are guaranteed these benefits. 1 John 3v4 ' sin is transgression of the law. ' So to say that turning from sin is required to go to heaven your really saying follow the law to be saved. Turning from sin is therefore works, common sense should also tell you that turning from sin definitely requires work, and finally again for the millionth time we are not saved by works- Ephesians 2v8-9 and therefore not saved by keeping the law/turning from sin - Galatians 2v16
*Can You Know That You're Born Again By Looking at Your Fruits? (Matthew 7:15-20)* - Bob Wilkin ruclips.net/video/VUcEYXrw6CA/видео.html How can you know that you're born again? Can you know by looking for fruit in your life? "Fruit inspection" has been devastating to many people's assurance. Bob Wilkin of the Grace Evangelical Society discusses Matt 7:15-20, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits..." They show that Jesus is talking about identifying false prophets, not about having personal assurance of salvation.
I think you are stretching and twisting the man’s words. He is saying God is doing the work in their lives. I never heard Paul’s words before so I have no care either way.
Whether you like it or not, calvanism is the gospel, sanctification is the result of salvation, if you are not being sanctify by GOD then salvation has never occurred
Calvinists may use the same VERBIAGE, but they're READING from a different dictionary, and no...Calvinism is *NOT* the gospel. Please re-think what you just said... You're elevating & equating CALVINISM with the simple, death, burial & resurrection! You're suggesting that a BELIEF "system" is necessary for salvation. That's heretical.

Jesus said to pick up your cross daily and follow Him.
Luke 9:23-26
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.
Luke 14:27-35,62
And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.

Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you30saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’
31“Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? 32If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. 33In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples

How does scripture say we get the gift.
Repent and believe.
Acts 20:21
I (Paul) have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they MUST TURN TO GOD IN REPENTANCE and HAVE FAITH (believe) in our Lord Jesus.
Repent and believe.
Contrary to what some teachers are now teaching repentance isn't a work any more than believing is.
Romans 4:4-5,16
Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. 5And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness.:16 THAT IS WHY IT DEPENDS ON FAITH, IN ORDER THAT THE PROMISE MAY REST ON GRACE AND BE GUARANTEED TO ALL HIS OFFSPRING -NOT ONLY TO THE ADHERENT OF THE
LAW 👉BUT ALSO TO THE ONE WHO SHARES THE FAITH of Abraham, who is the father of us all"
Abraham was justified by
his 👉works, (but not works alone) but because he believed with faith he did the works that God required.👈
James 2:21-24
Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar?
Paul does not contradict what he says in Acts about repenting of sin in Romans 4:4-5
Scripture must be kept in context.
Calvinism/Lordship Salvation ALWAYS produces DOUBLE TALK.
Romans Chapter 8 by itself destroys the doctrine of you can live anyway you want and still go to heaven.

No he causes you to examine yourself. There's a difference.
2 Corinthians 13:5
Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves!
Agree, Paul Washer's Gospel comply with Calvinism doctrine, but not comply with Bible.

Good presentation in pointing out the inconsistencies of Calvinism Bob. In another video I watched earlier today, Washer was giving a message where he tells a young lady who is struggling and tormented that she thinks she lost her salvation, and after continuously repenting, doesn't get a response from Jesus. Sickening actually. 🤮. Wolves 🐺 sewing fear to the sheep 🐑!!!
To test yourself to see if you're a real Christian read 1John.
1 John 1:5-7
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all 6If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
1 John 1:8-10
IF we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Calvinists teach “you are saved by faith alone but that faith is never alone” which is oxymoron. faith plus zero does not equel faith plus works.
Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Either grace teaches or it doesn't.
5:10). However, since the believer in Jesus Christ has already passed from death unto life and currently possesses eternal life (John 5:24), there is no possible way for them to end up in hell
It is only those who believe in Jesus Christ that receive everlasting life, not those who "behave" in Him. Besides, if keeping commandments or serving Christ had anything to do with where we spend eternity, we would all be doomed. James 2:10 says, "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."

The Role of God's Word (Bible) in Salvation and Discipleship - Bob Wilkin
ruclips.net/video/ej1gpxMPTZc/видео.html
God's Word (the Bible) is the key to being born again (salvation) and the key to sanctification (becoming more like Christ). In this message by Bob Wilkin of the Grace Evangelical Society shows how God's Word is vital for receiving everlasting life and for discipleship.
It's ALWAYS that a Calvinist will come back & say s/thing like you just said..."You just don't )u/stand...that's not what it means...they're not saying that, etc..." Most people (FACT!), come away after dealing with a Calvinist, more confused than a termite in a yo-yo.
Millions of people know John 3:16
Believing in John 3:16 will not save anyone.
We must repent of sin and believe.

@2Chronicles714_ so you have stopped all sins and are now perfect??
Washers message is, we are saved by Grace. Faith isn’t possible til regeneration. It is a twisting of Eph. 2:8 & 9. So, not really “faith alone.”
I agree with you ...he is misrepresentng him
Nope. MANY times he has said if you dont have works you arent saved. On one hand he says salvation is by grace through faith alone, then he says you have to work, cry out to God, and do everything but believe the Word. I have lots of regrets but not as many as Washer will have in the Day of Christ at the Bema seat.

The blind can’t see the wickedness that is Calvinism/lordship damnation.
It’s pure evil from the pits of hell, satan and his ministers of righteousness, the likes of , Ray Discomfort, Charles Lawson, Voddie, Peiters, Piper, Kirby, MacArthur, Sproul and of course Washer.

Confusion in not of God. Im not a calvinist. I believe in Jesus Christ. Godbless brothers and sisters. Do not frustrate the grace of God. We are alive in Christ Jesus. Amen

Sir, this isn't a contradiction, nor is it even a Calvinistic understanding, but a Biblical one.
Jesus does say that few are saved Mt 7:13,14 and to strive to enter through the narrow gate!!!!!!
What is the narrow gate? Works or Jesus? John 14:6. Works is obedience, service and discipleship, not salvation.

When you’ve truly come under grace, the new birth.. not only do you have complete forgiveness of every sin.. but when you come in to Grace, sin will not rule over you anymore.. because your not under the old covenant law.. but your under the new covenant..
One way you can find out is.. I’ll present this one verse to you, and you give me the answer.. pay attention to this,
Romans 6:14 (KJV)
14 For sin shall not have dominion [rule] over you: for [because] ye are not under the law, but under grace.
So, two questions…
1. what is the evidence, proof that you’re under Grace?
- Sin does not rule over me… Correct!
2. Next question, what is the evidence or proof that you’re still under the law?
- Sin rules over me! Absolutely right..
law is old covenant… what is the proof that a lot of people reading this or hearing this are under the old covenant? Sin rules over you… Sin rules over you.
We’re not talking about sinless perfection… (1 John 1:8) nobody is sinless perfect… Christ alone is… there’s a difference, between falling hundred times a day, walking in sin… and making a mistake.. messing up… and being grieved in chastised as it says in Hebrews, being brought back to the narrow path…
Beloved, Being redeemed makes you zealous of good works… in other words, you have a burning passion of fire that says, I wanna serve you, I want to obey you, I want to do good works, Oh Lord, I want to serve you… That’s the mark of the New Birth, not only absolute complete forgiveness of every sin no matter how dark. But, Redemption from a disobedient lifestyle.. Redemption from your old cultural lifestyle… sin does not rule you…
So, when sin rules over you beloved, you are under the old covenant, you are under law… you have not understood grace at all…
You don’t understand the 2 natures of the believer.
Agreed!
Calvinism (from man) always contradicts the clear teachings of the Scriptures (from God).
I mean scripture does say “ without holiness and peace with all men no one will see the lord” Paul doesn’t say anything incorrect here
It does not say ' you will not see the Lord.' It says in Hebrews 12 ' Pursue peace with all men (not God) and holiness, without which NO ONE will see the Lord.' Collossians 3 goes into how we put off wrong attitudes ' wrath, slander , evil speaking ' etc and to put on right attitudes ' love kindness and humility ' and that links to Hebrews 12 ' pursue peace with all men and holiness ' If we are growing in holiness by showing the character of Jesus by the way we live that's how people see him.

Hebrews 12:14
Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and TO BE HOLY
Without HOLINESS, NO ONE WILL SEE THE LORD.
Calvinism & Calvinist Pastors conflate things & contradicts itself constantly, why... because it's another gospel.
Mathew 22:29
Here is the patients of the saints ,here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith in Yashua.
Did Ananias and Saphira perservere?

@bugsocsollie1694
The major theme of the entire Bible is God calling on a fallen sinfulled man to humble himself and acknowledge he is a hopeless sinner in need of a Savior.
Isaiah 55:6-7
Seek the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon him while He is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way,and the unrighteous man his thought:and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy on him;and to our God,for He will abundantly pardon.

Spot on.
Good summary of Paul Washers message
Show me where the Bible teaches faith is a gift of God ? And where regeneration preceed salvation

That's why he said, "If it is you, tell me to come to you on the water." He had to have faith like a child; simple, not laboriously mental in human understanding
(because walking on water does not make sense).
Calvinism is self contradicting!!!
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." Acts 16:31
People can not have 0 change according to the Bible, read John 3 and 2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 2:4,5, Mt. 3:8. Please read your Bible!

Joshua 24:15 - And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, CHOOSE you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Joshua 24:22 - Then Joshua said, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have CHOSEN to serve the Lord.”
“Yes, we are witnesses,” they replied.
The word "chosen" in Joshua 24:22 indicates that man has free will and indicates the action taken by the people as a result of the exhortation given in Joshua 24:15.
Deuteronomy 30:19 - 19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore CHOOSE life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Again, the word "choose" indicates that God has given us FREE WILL.
Calvinism teaches there are some people for whom it is impossible to be saved. It relies on incorrect theological logical syllogisms instead of careful exegesis.

It wouldn't let me post this there.
Bob says turning from sin is works.
Acts 26:20
First to those in Damascus, and in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they SHOULD REPENT AND TURN TO GOD AND DEMONSTRATE THEIR REPENTANCE BY THEIR DEEDS.
Titus 2:11-14
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Its not about how much the Holy Spirit will guide you to what He wants you to do.
So are You saying that if i believe in Jesus 100% and i still continue with my homosexual relationship ' i will still enter the kingdom ?

i have asked this elsewhere before about something that has been bugging me. what if 'saved by grace' means no matter what we do, we cannot work our way to heaven. meaning, we live by faith in Jesus and walk in faith.. but then whether we are allowed into heaven or not is yet to be decided on whether God will be gracious to us? catholics seem to believe this, they do all they can, hoping to make it to heaven i think. so my question is basically what if at the end of the day, it is the grace of God whether we can receive that? if God chooses to be gracious or not even if we have faith? but without faith we are doomed, with faith, there is a chance? i have heard others answer this but i wanna hear you guys view. thank you
Grace =!Divine Influence on the heart
Faith = Heart yielded to God’s influence
Salvation = Total inward transformation of the heart, ie. “new creation” of 2Cor 5:17
works = rules, regulations, rites, rituals (ie. Old Covenant Law)
“npt of works” means “not of outward conformity to law,” rather it is inward conformity to “love” (ie. Rom 13:10, Gal 5:6, Rom 3:31). Faith works by love and love fulfills the law producing the fruit of the Spirit.
no, God is not going to pick and choose people to let into heaven who have faith. He must let all people into heaven that believed the gospel. Because God cannot lie, and his word states that all who believe the gospel have everlasting life. It's not a future thing that God will decide at some future date. It's something that we get at the moment of belief. It's a guarantee, a certainty. God is bound by the contract of his word. He is not capable of changing it. Agree. It’s based on works, not grace. It was probably quite similar to today’s free grace teaching in terms of how we’re saved.

Acts 16:31, John: 5:24
Paul Washer was preaching a works based salvation.

Not only must we confess sin,(1 John 1:9) but we must forsake it. Run away from it. One old definition of repentance is to leave the sin I've done before and show I've earnestly grieved by doing it no more.
If a man is genuinely born again, all old things are passed away, all things have become new( 2 Corinthians 5:17)
Too many today are preaching a perverted gospel to make it as palatable as possible. They give them a shot of love and grace without any warning of a looming judgment of hell for any who think because of grace they can continue living no different than before.
Those who believe that a change of conduct [Repenting of sin] is works are making our Lord's death on the cross meaningless
He didn't die for sins to give a green light to live like a demon.
A rebirth in Jesus means a new heart, a new mind, a new spirit, a new person
If you love anything more than Jesus, it's an idol.

How can you know that you're born again?
I think you are misrepresenting him sir ...
