I have quick question concerning the adapter plate I’ve seen on the website , I’m planing on a Rwd conversion on a Vw golf . I know for a fact that Vw Tdi and 1.8T have same bolt pattern , are you using the standard ford flywheel, pressure plate and 23 spline clutch disc ? I can see a crank adapter in the parts list, so I’m assuming yes maybe ? Also is there a pilot bearing inserted in the VW crank for the ford transmission input shaft ?
Hi Evguy1, just curious why you needed a rear driveshaft spacer? Isn't the transmission in the same place as it was originally in the truck? Since you didn't mention anything in the list about new transmission mounts...By the way, I am hoping to do a very similar project soon with the same automatic transmission, I was wondering if you could explain exactly the settings you used for the Dakota Digital module for the transmission speed sensor to fool the TCU into shifting earlier. Thanks!
In order to use one of my adapters you would need to swap in the later 3L or 4L V6 transmission. People are doing this swap on all sorts of vehicles, older and newer.
TD Conversions.com ok i could do that. I’d just need to figure out the wiring and we’re golden. I love the sound, reliability and efficiency of these little 1.9tdi engines.. we just put one in my friends 91 mkii jetta carat and it’s a whole different beast now..
30 - 35mpg depending on driver. ;>)
That's awesome either way. So you guys sell adapter kits that'll mount right up to the existing ranger transmission?
mazda rf 2.2 diesel engine is perfect match for ford ranger, that is the engine installed in ford ranger in the philippines
jhun pascual never heard of this engine
Are you saying it bolts right up ? No wacky adapters rewiring gongshow? I got a 2006 4.0 V6 4wd I'm looking to swap!
yes but it's hard to find in the US
@@joerupolo5147 yes it bolts right up you can find these engines on ebay type in mazda bongo diesel
Besides whats on your website can you do an actual list of whats needed?

Man, way cool! What's the MPGs on this truck if ya don't mind me askin?
How did you get the old filter in that location
So what do I need to do to the education to get this to run or is it just bolt in and crank up
I want to do this to mine sooo bad 🍻
what about ecm
If I had a 1995 v6 4wd ranger would your adapter plate work for that transmission? I would be using a 1.9 alh engine with a Malone stage 4 tune.
Also how do you make the transmission shift without the computer from the original gas engine
If the truck has a 3L or 2.8L, 2.9L, 4L engine then I have adapters for both.
@@peanutbutterisfu You keep the original ECU and just feed it the couple of inputs it needs to shift properly.
Could you please do a full list of EVERYTHING you bought to make the conversion I prefer to buy everything and do it in one go @@ofdtdconversions8445

How does it hold up to date?
Will this work with the 2.0 tdi?
The 1,9l TDI PD is the best engine VW ever build.
Could i do this swap on my 83 square body ranger?? It has the 2.3 and 4 speed right now but wanting to 5 speed swap it too...

Du you truck is automatic transmission
Top speed?
Whatever top speed is on a Ranger. It has similar power with the TDI so should have same performance.
I so need a instruction manual so I can figure out what to rip out of my tdi and find parts for my ranger !
I'm not aware of any step by step guide but there is lots of help and info on this site. forums.tdiclub.com/forumdisplay.php?f=63
Does it pass emissions tests?
Did you not see it roll coal?
I look at websites. Did not see a package for 2004 ford ranger 2.3 5speed. Do guys make one?
I don't do an adapter for the 2.3. Most guys change the transmission to the V6 one and I have adapters for both the 3L and 4L V6.

+Nicolas Shambow It is a bit of work but most people can make the modifications on their own or it can be done for them.
