I remember one of my classmate she use to be so sick during her period to a point that she will be crying. No one really take notice of her situation. She ddnt live pass 30. May her soul continue to rest in peace. We will perish because of lack of knowledge
This was so eye opening, I have a friend who was diagnosed with Endometriosis and I believe at the time whatever my response was, was out of ignorance. I am grateful for this knowledge
Thank you Jesus for finally having someone who is speaking openly about this. I suffered too without support from a single soul because no one understood & I suffered in silence. Until I had my last child in 2016. I was once told that it gets better after a child but it continued till I had the third one. iSo I’m one of those who had children by the grace of God. Mara hey 🙌🏾
I am listening to this as an endometriosis patient at stage 2 and this just got me into tears. I fully relate to this woman as young as I am. It gets so scary as I grow up because I ask myself a lot concerning my fertility🥺💔 Oh man, what a pain for a woman but we will get through it🫂🥺❤️
@ Hey Uhm, so there’s stage 1 till stage 4, where stage 1 is just the minimal stage where there’s just a few endometriosis implants, stage 2 is the mild stage, where now the endometrial tissue grows outside the uterus as well as other parts of your organs. On stage 3, you get things like ovarian cysts as well as scarring of the tissue and then stage 4 is the most severe stage where now you are required to remove certain organs or even have bigger cysts. This means that the woman can experience issues of infertility, scarring due to surgeries, painful sex, abnormal periods or bleeding. I don’t know if I answered your question, especially the second part of the question🤍
Also, the stages do not determine whether or not can you have kids. So it means that even a person at stage 1 can still experience symptoms of a person at stage 4.
Thanks God, I finally heard about this,I suffered this but by God's grace I have a baby nd I tried nd they cleaned that endotriomeses nd after the cleaning the doctor told me it was stage 4 , so I took out my womb,so now my daughter who is 19 is diagnosed with that, my prayer is that God help us find the medication to ease that pain, mine has passed, but I cry with my baby. It's frustrating but God is my strength
Its been a long journey. I can relate with everything. Three loses later, had a hysteroscopy and dilation and curettage (D&C) three weeks ago. Will see what happens and take it as it comes. Thank you for your story Ma Olga.
No no no this women is so insightful and motivated, you will swear she studied something in health sciences. I want to follow her, very intelligent and present, what are her social media handles????
I feel your pain. It's been 10 days since my hesteremony . It's the worst feeling ever. I am glad I did it. I looked like a six months pregnant woman I would order over sized clothes for work. 10 days of periods, +-9_10 pads everyday..
thank you so much mum Olga this was an eye opening for us not to ignore our kids when they have issues and also we need to learn to talk to our kids in details rather than talking in riddles ,we must make sure they understand what we say and also we must be open to them.
I have PCOS, I self diagnosed at between 19-23. Was never assisted at the public clinic my file had the same medical complaint. I am well spoken about periods but I find it had to talk about my PCOS because medical personnel don’t really take us serious. Took a miscarriage for my gynaecologist to tell me about my lab results taken almost two years prior. I thank God that I am coping, although I keep indoors because the sudden pains and fatigue are crazy.I made peace that I might not have children but having an ultimatum from my dad who was I’ll advice by his friends who are gynaecologist is a nightmare.
I think this kind of information need to go to high school girls, because people assume that is period pain. I used to have horrible periods pains and my grandmother used to say its gonna be difficult for you to conceive. Am glad for me it was just periods pains and now i have 3 beautiful girls at the age of 35, and that when i learns about endometriosis
I remembered one teacher back in high school looking me straight in my eyes and telling me that "Period pain hase bolwetsi sisi(Period pains isnt an illness/sickness) please just go back to class and sit down". That time i was in PAIN. Only to find out that she never had to deal with it in her life. Also, misinformation or the lack of information is a problem.
I was diagnosed with Endometriosis, this thing is painfull😢😢 lucky I was diagnosed when I had my 2 daughters already, but now I have to go for operation 😢😢😢 as it is my stomach is bloating and during sex I bleed I than choose to be single coz no man want to understand such thing ,I would like to have the book sisi
This is something the nation should be praying about. Nothing is impossible with God. I am calling on every believer to intercede and stand in the gap for those affected. Intercession is not only assigned to specific individuals, we have been called according to Ephesians 2:10. Jesus was crucified so we can receive healing and freedom from oppression. There is no disease that can share the same room with Jesus in the body of the children of God because our bodies are His temple.
I relate with some of the things you said, and it's true the pain is worse than labour pain, it's depressing and I no longer see why I need to go to my Gynecologist .. I don't get help 😢😢😢 I'm tired
I don't wish period pains even o my worst enemy, I had fibroids and the period pains at times make me feel like I am about to die. The sad part is the pain was normalized and I was told to be strong and only went to the doctor for the first time at the age of 29.
I had a friend who’s womb was removed when she was 24 years due to Cysts , so people must be sensitive not to just ask women when to have babies 😢. I know a thirteen year old girl whose womb was removed due to cysts.
My mom still makes a joke about me, saying I was dramatic when I was on my periods that a Doctor had to come to my house to give me an injection for pain. I would vomit, the pain was excruciating. I had to miss school, when I started working had to miss work, or go to the sick room and wait to be fetched. Only found out when I was at work when our wellness brought someone to speak about woman illnesses and I was 23. That's when I had attended. And a friend of mine almost died.
We are going throught the worst 💔❤️🩹 Two laparoscopies, one myomectomy,9yrs TTC that doesn't even include the emotional distress and physical pains...People have no empathy for us.
Iyooo, I learned about an ectopic pregnancy on the day I found out that I was pregnant with my second child. The pain I got that day was enough for me to even agree to anything that the doctor would do to me.😢😢
I relate my periods are not normal, I can't compare the pain I am experiencing every month with anything, on my periods I wish I could die and come back after 💔💔
You know only recently (within this year) did I find out that period pain is actually not normal? We go to gynaes annually, we are not asked and just put you on the pill. No! Give us information and let's walk the journey together with them to fix it.
Dealing with endometriosis pains and sleepless nights has become home, I no longer complain. My issue is at: when are you getting children, you look fat, you lost weight, you look pale, are you bleaching, your skin looks extra dry... dear all please let us deal with the pain and multiple operations, please allow us to live or die in peace, the pain alone is enough and now we need to face you senseless unread people with your foolish comments and questions!!!
@@MissCombs1511 not knowing in endometriosis land our priority is on no pain and proper sleep, that is our daily focus. As for the bay this baby that is so irritating, we are already dealing with medical bills and we still need to pause and answer on babies!
Can we not overburden teachers, as we speak now they sleep five hours just to ensure kids are taught. “The comment about the email hits home. We black people need to learn that nothing goes easy. I know it's not curable, does it get better when reaching menopause?
Hi Lucia. Depending on where the tissue is sitting on your body, you may still experience pain in that part of the body even after menopause.
Yoh this is too bad it is a serious chronic illness 😢
@nonomk2444 . It's a terrible, incurable condition like cancer yet people call it normal
