When she said “the pain gets deeper, as you grow” it’s so true. As a victim of child sexual abuse, I didn’t think about it throughout my teenage years but now that I’m in my 20s, I think about it everyday and the “r” word really triggers me
Update: Thank you for the kind words! My pain has been healed, I just remember the past often. It only hurts when I hear that another child has gone through the ordeal. May God protect all children. Please supervise your kids, it’s always the nice cousin, neighbour, gateman, etc… May all the perpetrators be punished here and on the day of judgement.

😢I am a rape victim I never reported it. It happened in several occasions by different men. But one that stands out was a local gangster and knew cops so it felt useless. He lived across my house. I think I healed and one day it hits you like a Ton of bricks. My boyfriend was the first guy I admitted it to I was scared and embarrassed. But telling him lifted alot of my shoulder. I thought I was good. I recently came across a old hijacking video boom the guy who raped me I cried. My bf was there to comfort me. But now seeing this as much I am triggered but I didn't cry I think I am getting better. I'm happy you survived Mme Karabo

I'm still at university, so my grades decreased and i failed alot i even lost my bursary now, so i'm owing the university. But God is a big God, you also need to learn how to heal without your boyfriend's comfort. That's were you heal fully

We have a 27 year old niece that is missing since 12th July 2024. The last person who saw her, is her boyfriend. Yesterday marked 10 weeks but no leads. It was her birthday on 16th September. SAPS Detective Kraaifontein station reports nothing.
I had a huge lump in my throat while listening to you & I couldn't hold my tears anymore😭.
We are trusting God for her life & hope that she will come back & tell her story.

I was almost kidnapped in Durban. Two Individuals (a man and a woman) dressed in police uniform stopped me and asked me to jump into their car. I respectfully stopped when I saw the police uniform but I refused to go inside because their car didn't not have a police number plate and markings. I avoided letting them know that I don't trust them so I engaged in a conversation pretending to be scared since I am Zimbabwean. Meanwhile, I slowly walked towards a spaza shop where some men were standing and smoking. As I got closer, I started asking them exactly why they want me in the car and they could not give me any reason. Even though I am Zimbabwean they did not ask for my passport or Visa and this was a major red flag for me. Anyway, once I was a few metres away from the spaza shop, I told them that I will not join them but I was saying it so loud that it drew the attention of the people at the spaza shop. When they saw people looking at us they got really impatient. I remember even saying that the only way I will go in is if one of them got out of the car and asked one of the men on the street to join us to the police station. They got frustrated and said you're wasting our time then drove away.

@@BongieBala no I meant what I said. The war is spiritual and we are only seing the manifestation of it. You are looking at the flesh.. im looking at the spirit of a nation. I prayed in line with what I already know to be the reality of how spiritual realm works.. this is a prayer that God guided me to pray. Im sorry but your opinion doesnt play any role in the work. She highlighted a very important fact in the beginning; she was loved by her parents. There was not much talk about resilience and the effects of trauma in those who had safe and stable childhoods vs those who didn’t, because that plays a huge factor in the recovery.
