My 2 cents as an Optometrist. Sounds like my sister has a condition called keratoconus. She got a corneal transplant as it is not possible to get a graft for the whole eye. A corneal transplant won't cost more than 10k per eye in a private health care institution. Further more, the use of hard contact lenses help a great deal in this condition. 90 & 80k sound far fetched and unrealistic. She needs to see an Optometrist. I can recommend one for her.

They assist people with visual impairments with Counselling and daily living skills as a newly blind person. I can attest to say she not making up the 80k my son is suffering similar condition we have to apply for a donor outside the country and it was expensive, and the medical aid wasn't enough to cover the expenses needed i have to top up some money. so lebu i know what she is talking about
