Proud to say I was involved in the design and exhibition of this tank. AUSA 2024 was a highlight of my career and AbramsX was the belle of the ball. True story: The grey color used on the AUSA tank is Lamborghini Grigio Acheso. And while this vehicle isn't in production, there is a combat vehicle coming off production lines in exactly the same color. I have a copy of this model - right behind me atm -but haven't built it yet.
I know I'm a few months late, but I just bought two of these kits from your website last week and I'm excited to start diorama ideas for them. As a quick note; I've never ordered from you before but I plan on ordering as much as I can from you in the future! I don't think I've ever seen anyone pack a model kit with as much care as you guys did. Thank you!
Amusing Hobby are the kings of the Paper Panzer. I've built 2 of their kits, E-100 and Jagdpanzer 38, and have a couple of their Panther II's in my stash. The kits build well but I'm not a fan of their tracks, hopefully they've made some progress in that area.
Just to be that guy, and to clarify the matter for those interested: AbramsX is a tech demonstrator from General Dynamics Land Systems. It is meant to display design solutions developed by GDLS for future tank projects both domestically and for export. It IS NOT made to be used as a combat vehicle in any sense, and the US Army WILL NOT be adopting the AbramsX in any form for service. Instead it is likely that features shown off on AbramsX will be utilized in the M1E3 program which is intended to become the mainstay of American armored formations from the early 2030s through into the 2040s. Other features may be integrated into existing M1 platforms to produce modernized tanks as well. In either case, no tank entering service with the US Army or anywhere else will be something that one could reasonably call an AbramsX. On a more pedantic note: It's frustrating to see that they wrote it out on the box as "Abrams X", and not as it is officially advertised by GDLS as "AbramsX".
You're correct on all counts. I'll repeat my comment from above: Proud to say I was involved in the design and exhibition of this tank. It's noteworthy that several other vendors have used the "___name__X" construction after GDLS did. I was more frustrated when I received the copy of this model. The box cover shown on Ebay had the grey tank. The one I received looked like the one in this video.
NICE!,Did you find out what the brass rod packed in with the barrell is for, also the piece of 3d printing with holes as i can't find them mentioned in the instructions?.
Its a nice kit we got it the other day tracks could be better and the moulded in engine deck handles are maybe awee bit to moulded in you'll know what i mean when see them but all else looks good just need to have a think of what tracks they would actual wear on the X on a production model
Esperando el mio dentro de estos días... Waiting for mine within these days... and it finally arrived. as spectacular as Andy describes it, now we wait for him to build it so we have a reference where to go
I built a ryfield Abrams and the tracks are an absolute nightmare and Ive built about evry type of track their is,they look good but jeez, its a lot of work
@@edwardjoe8448 800 for the tracks? Meh,somewhere in that neighborhood but probably more, you have each individual track pad,2 each side top/bottom, and the the guide horn and then the link, which you have to put half of each track pad on half the link thing or whatever, yeah, they’re a pain in the ass, I saw some ryfield Abram’s tracks on eBay and the exact version too,cuz they made several different versions of tracks, which I couldn’t care less if they’re the same or not,as long as they’re Abram’s tracks and halfway decent, but they’re friggin link & length and look fantastic really, like 22 bucks and change plus shipping,I’m gonna go that route, the ones in the interior kit are an absolute nightmare for real
Hi Andy, Love the model, i already ordered it but do you have metal track for this? how about any other extras that do not include in package? Thank you for quick turn around and mailing response. i really enjoy watching your build and explanation.
damn\, I haven't watched in a while and its kinda sad coming back and seeing the age. nice to see you're still posting but y'know. also I hope someone makes a 1/72 AbramsX. not to mention the only 1/72 T-90M is by ModelCollect who no longer makes it.
yes looks good with some fugging and exsra bit bet last i cude do it covert to a ban blade 4ok super havy tank fore you getst it the inperorl guard thats me see as do new
By the way this is a real concept tank but the army that the army has not chosen and most likely won't. As all the army officially wants is the new version to be lighter yet be the same if not better... But does that take away from this model or the fact they are getting it out so fast after the concept has been shown? No it's awesome! As it's a cool concept and no doudt will be someone's favoite tank one day.
Crewless turret = asking for trouble. Situational awareness will be hugely impaired. Turrets are vantage points to see around you. Irrespective of tech, you absolutely need to use your eyes and ears. The more obvious negative is the enemy penetrative of AI, turning such weapons against their owners. America & its Western allies are hugely undermined by zero defect mindsets and being enamoured of tech.
Amusing Hobby never fails to deliver, they're the KelTec of scale models for a reason
It’s a tech demo which is absolutely amazing. I can’t believe they have a kit out already!

Just ordered two. Great video Andy, keep em coming.... I'll keep watching.
ORDERED! Can't wait to build.
Haha, wow. Amusing Hobby was fast on the draw with that! The M1E3 is the current official work in progress to replace the A2 though. :D
As an old M1 Tanker looking forward to this got one on order
The X is the “hold my beer” response to the T-14.

More coming woth maus turret on the E100
Hope it came with the suspension sprues did not see that in the video.
Finally an American tank! Everything I watch is from Germany, not that it's a bad thing, hell I'm German
Looks like a nice kit!! 🤜🤛
Dear Andy, a business idea for you: 1/16 M10 Booker.
Very nice. Will you also be getting the KF51 Panther from Amusing Hobbies?
Super cool. Thanks!

Yes it looks like that smaller metal tube is the chain gun,? based on the instructions although there is no call out for the metal tube
Looks like a great kit and must have for me!

Nice looking kit. Would make a great What If diorama,
I can't wait for the new Booker light tank.

I heard they have like 900 something parts for tracks?

I avoid Ryfield kits like the plague do to the tedious part counts
This looks promising!🎉
Sigh, preordered. Thanks Andy for making my wallet and I have another fight. 😁
Just got mine today!
Hi Andy, Love the model, i already ordered it but do you have metal track for this? how about any other extras that do not include in package? Thank you for quick turn around and mailing response. i really enjoy watching your build and explanation.
That looks awsome
Wow newkit, I want that one, but I don't have some money to get it, so sad huh😅
Wow Andy
I was wondering when this beast was coming out!!!!
Outstanding!!!!
Awesome!
Hope somebody can release kits based on the leaked US next gen tank models. All of them looks promising.
Are you going to do a build video?
That is an awesome kit thanks Andy! 😀
Pre-BOLO?
Build it Andy

are the tracks workable Andy?
It’s not a n actual prototype of next gen MBT. It’s a concept from one of the companies for exhibition.
not listed on your EU site, how can we preorder uk delivery?
WANT
Also, whats the price going to be after the deal ends?
Can you pre-order this kit from your European store?
oh no...the Chinese has go their hands on the American next-gen MBT blueprint!
No road wheels ?
No preorder in Europe? :(
So it’s likely to have TOW missiles
The Abrams X is only a company concept the Chieftain said in one of his video the Abrams X will not become the M1E1
yes looks good with some fugging and exsra bit bet last i cude do it covert to a ban blade 4ok super havy tank fore you getst it the inperorl guard thats me see as do new
I already have this kit but support Andy he's a good guy
Hail Hydra! Looks great Andy. Cheers as ever from the UK.

not for EU?
If Skynad has anything to do with this we are all finished...😆😆😆
yep thats what I thought too lol
Unfortunenaly it's not the actual next gen tank.. It's rather a concept. However it do looks cool ngl.
Yeah instead of just a manless turret, why not make it a manless tank?
finally something not 1:16 scale. I will be very glad when that 1:16 fad fades away.
How come? I'm just curious: Is it the price or the size? I know I have my reservations about them.
Ong it’s the electric tank the Tesla of the tanks.
Just a comment for the algorithm
Wanted it until I saw the tracks
no decal
Individual track links…deal breaker.
Yay, NOT WW2 German! 🎉🎊
Nooooooo!! German military vehicles are my favourite models!!
Hello can you build amusing hobby JagdE100
Day 4 of politely asking for a 1/16 T-32E1 model

Отвратительный обзор! Были показаны не все детали.
