I don't think so. I did lose some left-cornering clearance. I'll measure it in a little bit and update any loss of clearance. Edit: Wow, pretty impressive guesstimate. It drops down 1.75", but unless you're driving over curbs I doubt you'll notice. I've scraped it in left turns, but I tend to push the bike in corners. However, it's not enough loss for the convenience I gained to disappoint me.
@@FWMCBigFoot. I was going to ask you about cornering and if the handle or stand scrapes. I’m considering putting one on my 2019 Road Glide Ultra. Great video and tips for install!
@HankHill757 Thank you for your kind words. I love cornering and frequently drag my floorboards, so I was reluctant to install the centerstand. It's a non-issue for me. The change is so minimal I hardly notice. Still out leans a Softtail Slim.
@user-xd6tw4lu7v I have a motorcycle jack as well, but I think the centerstand will make fluid changes easier. No balancing act with the drain pan. The purchase price stung, but that's water under the bridge now.
Had one on my 2010 twin cam glide. Expensive but worked a treat when out and about touring. When the bike went, I took it off. Hoping it would fit my M8 Ultra but, Wheel dock said it would not. Had one shoulder bolt snap ( in blind hole) and the other bend a bit due to the weight of the bike.
@@RogerJohnson-j9v are you gonna just throw that center jack in your tour pack and pull it out every time you get off your bike while out riding? Although I'm sure it's helpful in changing your oil, that's not at all what it was designed for. Why do cheap people that have to ask wife's permission to buy anything always feel the need to comment?
The best install video of this center stand on youtube! Thanks for actually getting great camera angles and proper lighting.
Don’t know why more people don’t install one. The bike sits squarely upright and looks it’s best too. Nice job.
Thank you
A rubber mallet works good for the install instead of forcing it by the bolt and a jack.
I want one!
😂 My Honda, Gold wing. came with it LO. L.
Do you need air ride for this to work ?
You do not need air ride. My bike has stock suspension and wheels.
looks like you lost 2 inch of ground clearance ?
