- A short video of the tornado sirens in Kit Carson, CO. This was about 30 minutes after a storm had dropped three landspouts a few miles to the west.
Sirens featured:
Sentry 10V (Attack)
Sentry 14V-B (Alert)
👍
Was it test
No, the storm I was chasing had just produced a handful of landspouts about 15 minutes before that, and the storm was heading right for Kit Carson
0:30 is where you hear sirens better
Sounds like a horror movie
It's definitely intimidating if you don't know what the storm is doing.
What sirens does Kit Carson, CO Have?
I couldn't give you an exact model, but they're both single-tone Sentry Sirens.
@@tcp3059 I could guess 14V's.
@@CentralALSirens Correction: the one on "Alert" is a 2-tone (I'm thinking a 15v2T?). Found it on street view. The one in "Attack" was the single-tone, and I cannot find it on street view.
@James R I found the "Attack" one on maps, and I think it's a Sentry 7V8.
Why they going off for
In 0:55 in Colorado sirens got louder
That was when I was driving right next to one of them.
WHERE THE SIRENS!?!? oh wait I see them lol 😹😹😹😹
Where
@@jamieszwed8416 I found both of them when I was filming this, but neither of them actually show up in the video. The one in "Alert" mode is near the fire station, and my second and third left turns took me around it. The one in "Attack" was about 150 yards to the right when I made my first left turn.
Ok that is the most scariest siren I ever heard
It was a little eerie, especially with the supercell hanging overhead.
How Colorado has tornado sirens well here we go with sirens
Most towns east of the Front Range have sirens.
I feel like most people only think the Midwest get tornadoes. As a Coloradan, we got them in central Colorado where I lived a few times, but they get them out east all the time
