- Averages tell us a lot and measures of variability a lot more. In this video I'll explain what that all means and how it works.
Thanks for the effort to explain it in an easy way. This is the only video that taught me how these formulas are connected to each other and to apply concepts practically on data to get meaning full output.
This is the most valuable and greatly explained tutor in my STAT life. STAY BLESSED!!!
This is concise. You dealt with 5 measures of variability in a short video with their explanations, formulae and examples. Thank you. We need more videos from you.
One of the great explanations I've ever watched. Thank you very much for this.
Great explanation . Nicely explained with most appropriate examples.
Hope u will make videos on all statistics topics like regression and correlation with nice examples and derivation of formulas too.
And yes keep uploading videos on topics with your full dedication and one day you will find traffic on your channel.
Once again thanks a lot.
So helpful! I've been trying to better understand CV for a while. Your examples [throughout the whole video] were great.
"JUST AWESOME" , explanation with very relevant data gets the concept directly into the brain , Thank you :):)
One of the best way explained. Thanks a lot for making me understood with the example you provided. Keep doing more videos !!
Really liked the video, special mention to the infographics. Kudos.
Really amazing video, thanks for the valuable video Prof.
Very well explained !!! Loved the clarity and the flow. Awesome :)
Could you please do a video on hypothesis testing. I am sure it will be equally good and very helpful !
Detailed explanation in simple way , helped to understand all four ways to find out the variability , thanks a lot
Great video, especially the part you relate statistics with life & the summary.
Thank you! So glad I found your video! It was very helpful.
For homework we had to do this and I forgot about it then I saw this video and it helped me a lot thank you proffeser
Your analogy is the best and unique way for us to learn .. one of a kind ..that made this video really different from the rest .. thank you much..
Hello Conrado, many thanks for your kind feedback! I hope I will be able to do some more videos in the near future.
Your explanation was wonderful!
Thank you ,Sir.Your videos are of a great help to me....😊
Awesome lecture and presentation... Thank you
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is how much I rait this video
Keep doing the good work soldier
Very good explanation. Keep going man.
Thank you so much for the clear and good explanation♥️ ♥️, your lecture helps me a lot.
This is absolutely excellent! This helps so much. Many of my classes are online and I prefer a lecture along with my reading. Thanks !!!
+Felicia Ingram Hi Felicia, many thanks for your very friendly comments! ... your feedback actually got me started thinking about reviving this channel. ;o)
Producing a video likes this takes actually quite a bit of work. As I am doing them mainly in my own time I only now an then get to do one. So - in case you have any suggestions in terms of what you would find most helpful please let me know - it will help me a lot to prioritize! Best, Mathias
square root of 0.5 is 0 .7 .. I paused and did calculation myslef :) great explanation on the important concpets, please add more in the series. Thanks.
Hello Professor, thank you for this brief and concise explanation of variability. You are correct in that there is already an abundance of statistics videos on RUclips and finding the right one that makes sense to you is very difficult. This one was very easy to follow along.
Another subject that is somewhat difficult to grasp is Chebyshev's theorem, the empirical rule, and z-scores. Perhaps you can post a video on these subjects.
Excellent video. Thank you so much sir
Waaaw what a great way to understand thank you soo much sir you explain very clearly and in easy way
You are very good at explaining!!
Plz Do a marathon on Probability and Stats. The way you explain 100 times better than my Prof.
Very useful and nicely explained..
wow!! thank you so much! keep making video to help us
Great explenation :) many thanks.
Thanks you for making this video.. It is very much useful
Really great video!
Great explanation.
Excellent.. Thanks
Loved it!! thank you very much!
So useful. Thank you so much.
Awesome! Thanks.
Amazing! Thank you.
Very nice explanation along with the practical example...keep making such wonderful videos....
Great video
THANK U FOR THIS!!!!! THIS A GREAT SERIES PLS MAKE SOME MORE:>>
wow..absolutely well summaried..
Thankyou so much
Well understood
Well explained! It would be great if you could share some question with answers separately for practicing the concept. Thank you in advance
Today, I got the meaning of coefficient of variance
Thanks
Great explanation !!!! 😊i like the way you explain it i wish u will upload more videos about statistics 📊
excellent, thank you
thank you for this upload. please continue uploading videos. need to learn more on statistics. need to know which statistical tool is used in which condition. please continue uploading.
Great video! I hope you will post new videos.
Thank you!
Thanks!
Good lecture
Thank u so much
Really good, thank you!
My pleasure :o)
Thank you for teaching sir! 👍👍👍
Thank you for commenting and subscribing madame :o)
Could you suggest me some good books that you referred to wherein I may find the similar explanations as you provided in your video. I am an undergraduate and want to learn about statistics and probability in best possible manner. Thanks
Very helpful
Hi Mathias,
Really a great video with explaining the need of finding those variable measures..
just if it helps for your future videos, your video explains why do we calculate compared to other video only tells how to calculate..
Continue the great work, few suggestions for your next videos Regression, Decission Tree, Ensemble Methods, Singular value decomposition, Ensemble method #Brief Tutorial Statistics
Hello Siddharth, thanks for commenting, your input and video suggestions! I'd greatly appreciate if you could share my videos - if I get more views I will be able to pick up production again (which I was not able to do over the past few months because there is barely any traffic on my English channel). Take care, Mathias
@@brieftutorialstatistics4721 what is the name of the soundtrack?
Hello Professor. Thank you for an informative video. Kindly make videos on the histogram to further explain the distribution
I can't thank you enough 😀
Thank you man
thnks a lot sir
Thanks ...This video is helpful.
Many thanks for letting me know - greatly appreciated!
thanks
thank u
It was great. Thanks a lot.
Thank you for commenting and subscribing! :o)
Great
The addition of super dry humour about life and the 'whoo hoo' when calculating standard deviation for fun made me actually nerd cackle.
😅
Nevertheless it was a great tutorial
nice explaination
better than my teacher's 😋
Please what does ed he mean by when when you use mad you need to do a case by case analysis. Why?
Could you please make videos on moments, skewness and kurtosis?
Instant Subscribe
👏👏👌👌👌
nice
I really like your practical example sir would you add some videos on RUclips about quantitative tools for research if you have done then please upload ,I shall be very thank full to you regarding this matter.
Hello Hassan Ullah. many thanks for your feedback and proposal - greatly appreciated!
sir can you add a video on correlation and regression fast
Hi sir, where do i find the video for MEASURES OF CENTRAL TENDANCY???
Hello, many thanks for your messages! "Measures of central tendency" is an alternative term for "Means": ruclips.net/video/kfEuqcA6vYw/видео.html ... best of luck!
Sir can u plz make a vedio on moments?
Hey, great video. BUT ONE CONFUSION.
You stated that we prefer calculating the Variance instead of the Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) because
"using the Absolute Value in calculations is fairly inconvenient as it always requires a case-by-case analysis".
HOW? How does this require a case-by-case analysis? Are you referring to the task of flipping all the negative signs to positive signs?
Please explain
MAD seems like a much better measure of variation than standard deviation.
Why not take the square root of just the numerator (and then divide by n) while calculating the standard deviation? Why take the square root of the WHOLE thing?
