You are so happy couples you make me happy when you make me laugh have a nice week.😂😂❤
I didn’t realize how kiwis can be with regard to hugs etc. I am married to a kiwi so I have been fortunate to be adopted as a kiwi and kissed and hugged for quite some time.
Thanks for sharing these stories because it makes me thankful for what I have. I don’t ever want to take it for granted.
😂😂😂😂you had us in stitches!😂. You both are awsome ❤
Loove the hair dresser story🤣. Lots of love💕💕💕
Glad you enjoyed it our lovely friends! Sending you both much love 🥰
Oh my god you two are so funny, i cracked up listening to the hair dresser story😂
Oh, Angelique, thank you, that means a lot to us 🥰
It's not aggressive, it's just Brian 😜! Another fun video by two great people - love the stories! A glassy, classy story! Your book is so much fun! LOL, I will tell Suzey not to go with the orange hair lol!! Happy New Zealand arrival anniversary!
😂 Glad you enjoyed it! And apologies to all people with orange hair...natural orange? Perfect. Dyed brown with orange tips?? Not such a good look... 😂
I’m from Seattle and just wanted to say how lovely you guys sound.
Oamaru (where some of my ancestors settled in 1884) is a town - it doesn’t have a cathedral. The population is only about 11K, but those old buildings show how wealthy the South was from agriculture and horticulture. The first shipments of meat from NZ to the UK (starting in 1882) originated from Totara Estate, near Oamaru, and the area exported 100s of thousands of beef carcasses back to the UK.
Thank you for sharing Linda, we appreciate you. Have a lovely weekend 😊
Always a pleasure listening to the two of you. What a beautiful view you have there. I’m sure most people will love your book when they read it. I enjoyed it, and looking forward to the audiobook too.
That hairdresser was probably thinking this lady coming in here telling me what to do. 😂 your hair turned out beautiful
Our pleasure! Thank you so very much for your lovely support, it means a lot to me and Bri! Thank you 🥰
I got stupid drunk in Palmy one night, ended up in someone's Rose Garden in New Plymouth the next morning, with some dude spraying me with the garden hose, saying " Time to get up mate".
Well, I bet that's a story...😂
@@ItsaDrama Yep🙃
Heehee😂 I want you both to know how I just adore listening to your stories and your banter! My husband and I are FINALLY planning to come for a trip to NZ in a month or two to visit and see if NZ is a good fit for a new adventure us.
So on this trip I literally feel like we have to make a pilgrimage to Taranaki so I can get a picture of myself in front of your house 😂 like I did with another famous author, Steven King. (Not him of course, but his house!)
Thanks for sharing your wonderful perspectives with the world and making me smile every time I listen.❤
I use to live in New Plymouth for 18 years, to see the mountain and later the ocean magic. I watch your podcast in Adelaide although my wife and I are from outside Levin. Always enjoy you and your hubby humour . Both of us are Maori.
Thank you both so much for watching and for taking the time to say hi, we very much appreciate you 😊 Sending much love to Adelaide and thank you again for your kind words. Liz and Bri x
@@ItsaDrama Sometimes we visit there. If we do my brother lives there, we will let you know. Kia ora ano ra. ( Greetings from afar )
palmy is good for a day..maybe 2...then yep outta there!!
There’s something about English people that when they talk they bring a smile to your face. Like yourselves. I also like a RUclipsr called Curls he’s so lovely. Great story tellers ❤
Thank you! And yes, I agree! Curls is great! 🥰
Liz and Brian
I want to Thank you for this site.I bought myself a teapot and now having herbal tea.Whilst watching you both.Coming down your way AGAIN end of Oct🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Thank you so much for this lovely comment Violet, tea is the answer to everything isn't it?! There's nothing like a cup of herbal tea to soothe and relax you ❤️ Have a wonderful trip to the Naki, and thank you again for saying hi 😊 Liz and Brian x
I saw the spanish team there, they even had a powhiri. Weather wasn't great. They probably were accommodated there so they could practice on a decent feild.
The grass is called toitoi.
I think the black sands in Raglan were exported overseas.
If I see you when you're in Levin I'll give you both a hongi.
The reason he asked you what do you see is because you were on his territory taking over, but did you see he was someone who knew what he was doing.
Thank you! Hope that your week is going well, as always, we appreciate you being with us 😀
Thank you for being you, you make me smile🌻🌻🌻
What a lovely comment, Carolyn, thank you! We appreciate you very much! 🥰Y
I have just found your channel and you make me laugh so thank you and I've subscribed
As us Kiwis say "boring people live boring lives". If you are looking for a big city experience - well go to a big city - but every place has attractions for engaged people, and they go and find them. Mr G.
Well said, Mr G couldn't agree more! 😊
I totally agree with you Liz my husband who is a kiwi finds it very hard doing the touchy feely thing, even after 5 years living in Italy he still struggles when people he just meets here try to give him a hug and the both side cheek kiss 😅 he tells me tell them we dont do this in NZ. Keep at it Liz and we love watching you as both of us say all your observations are spot on. 😊
Thank you so much, we appreciate your lovely kind words! Thank you 🥰 Liz
I guess Palmerston North is not Barcelona and it's not close to a nice beach, and I think John Cleese once visited and said Palmy is boring.
You two always make me chuckle.
Yes, but Robert!! It has the best people!! 🥰🥰
Hugging is a very Kiwi thing, some people must have very sheltered lives by the sound of it, or some kind of traumatic event that would make them back off from a hug.
Gotta love a big hug! 😊
Phew! Justvas well I rewound that part. Glad to hear your dog sheds like mad, not 💩 like mad😂
😂😂😂😂 Oh!!! I'm laughing at the thought of what that must have sounded like...🤣
You both make my day, laughing all the way. xoxo
That comment makes OUR day Miss Fisher 🥰
I had someone come up to me in the supermarket today and told me that they were going to pull my pants up at the back. I said No, but they tried to anyway. The pants were already fully up but the top was lose as I had lost weight. Big deal if my knickers were slightly showing. What a cheek.
Oh no! That's a bit cheeky (excuse the pun). Hope you have a wonderful weekend Ivy, thank you for sharing! 🤗
But not my cheek showing. Lol.
The guy on the beach, think he was too tents(tence) Was it a Wigwam,or was it a Teepee?.
Funny. I use a vpn to go the other way. TVNZ+ on every firestick in the house. Shhhhhh. If anyone asks Brian your using my tv licence 😂
😂 You and him?? You're like rebels without a cause I tell you...😘
P.S. We want the audio book as well!
Yep!! I will send it to you as a gift, don't worry about that!! 😘
You have a beautiful garden, and the sunshine is magic. Nice to see and hear you guys again. I can tell you after being back in NZ for a bit over a month, I'm enjoying it. I forgot how much I like small town life in Whanganui.
Welcome back James! Oh, yay! I was wondering how you were getting on! So glad that you are happy 😁
@@ItsaDrama I did spend a week in hospital for newly diagnosed asthma, but it has a silver lining. I'm not in the UK and being taken care of by our wonderful free health care. Plus I'm with my friends and family
Love it!
Thank you Ben 😊
im sure that what it is......u sound like a very young version of my grandparents from kent.....(they passed now / transitioned how ever)
kudos to you guys ...ill be home in a couple weeks......im excited but im not its a weird feeling ...im leaving 5 of my daughters here (ameri-kiwi) first generation
Palmerston North. Wind, rain, cafes. Zzz...
Don't hug people; and don't plant a wet kiss on their cheek. Some people in NZ do this in greeting and it is cringey. It's not welcoming, it's enough to make someone want to run a mile. Personal space, you know? Same with touching people's shoulder when you say "Excuse me..." at somewhere like the supermarket... WTH do you think you are doing?
Kinda makes me want to hug you now ;) jk
You’ve got to feel for Brian…🤣😂
Good on ya Jill.
Your wigwam fence was made from Toi Toi’s Lizzy 😅😅😅
Thaaaaat's the one Muzz...🤣 I knew it was a double barrel something but my brain said "wig Wam?!!"
🤣
If you're of maori descent, is it also natural to adopt that 'kiwi' adage. After all, should l assume kiwi is a maori word.
While I don't really care who adopts that adage... as a maori...l once asked my partner of European Irish descent whether or not she considered herself kiwi and (tongue in cheek) should she should be greatful to me for being considered kiwi if she so chooses to consider herself as 'kiwi'.
Yes l am aware that it a term initially was a term used to describe New Zealand servicemen back in the day.
It came from Aussie soldiers in WW1 who saw the Kiwi epaulettes their cousins from across the Tasman wore.
Thank you so much for being with us and for taking the time to say hi! We appreciate you very much 😊
You two are Kiwis more than a lot....you became Kiwi when you decided to live here. Football is very good. Cricket is too.
NZ let world football down...period.
Thank you for being with us and for saying hi! Ahhh...nothing like a bit of footy talk to get Bri worked up...😂
Have a lovely weekend!
I feel the same about the English Speaking people's. I really and truly don't know a dam thing about the English. I visited way back in the mad cows days. I have a notion a feeling about what I think the English type is. The Labies are to die for there's nothing sexier than an educated English Rose whith a London accent. Think Princess Kate ❤. Their millitary are top tier par Excellence Fighting is very English and they are all ways ready and willing to get in the ring if you slight them. They at the drop of a pin will die for the Queen, they just do. They are of the higher in using the the brain they do great works and are almost indestructible and they inveted near everything for the modern world we use.
Those Naked Kitchen makers, always make things harder.
🤣 Honestly...I don't know where my brain is half the time...
Have a fabulous weekend Andy!
@@ItsaDrama Likewise my friends.
@@ItsaDrama Same here. If it wasn't attached i'd probably loose it ;)
LOL... 😂
Palmy is weird. I moved here and it's weird
Oh dear...!! Maybe you should meet our friend, the kindest kiwi living in Palmy 🥰 Thank you for watching and for saying hi, have a great weekend!
Hi L & B...... poor old Palmy cops it again! I went there once and didn't find it in the least bit weird....except for all the naked kitchen makers.
I'm also looking forward to the football season Brian. The Championship kicks off tonight actually. C'mon you mighty Tractorboys.
With regards to the Kiwis calling Rugby footie. It's because Rugby is a form of Football invented in the Midlands Town of Rugby. Rugby Football Union RFU. Can't wait for the World Cup..... the All Blacks are looking great ....anyway, must dash of to work.....laters
Thanks for being with us Kent! Bit of footie talk always manages to get things going...🤣 Have a lovely weekend, Liz and Bri
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Hi Michelle, thanks for being with us!
My sister lives in Oamaru
fluffy plant = toi toi
Thaaaat's the one....😂 Thank you Greg!
They could have taken the kids to Memorial Park it's great for kids
" A Kiwi " is a person born in NZ , some folk think you can move to NZ and then become " Kiwi " , haha, like everywhere else. Anyone can become a New Zealander. A lucky few are born Kiwi. try that in a small town. , move to Aus and tell em your an " Aussie " now . yeah righto lol
Thank you for your insight. Have a lovely weekend 😊
Lmao this guy just made that all up. Don’t let white people gatekeep our culture. Kiwi is a maori word and the story behind the kiwi bird is a noble one. At the End of the day if you call yourself a New Zealander you can call yourself a kiwi. Kia ora.
What a strange thing to say. 'kiwi' is a culture and like any culture if people care enough about it they can assimilate.
@@debbiestaite3184 Kiwi is a nickname given to NZ born ..So you think you can move to China and say you're now " Chinese " OK ? u are always welcome .as "manuhiri "
@@perkar49 lol what a joke. Kiwi is a nickname given to NZ born 🤣🤣🤣🤣
